To introduce the learner to what is recognized as the third
revolution in education, the COMPUTER.
To acquaint learners on basic aspects of community
education, functions of the school media center.
To impart skills in planning, designing, using and
evaluating the technology-enriched teaching learning
process.
To orient the learner to the pervasiveness of educational
technology.
To uplift the learner to human learning through the use of
technology

EDUCATION
Technology can be used to
enhance critical thinking and
critical literacy skills,
evaluating the legitimacy and
accuracy of online content is
the central part of 21st
century education.
Technology is a tool, a way for
fact-based learning and allows
students to do a lot of
the research using the
internet and various tools.
Technology is not just about
interactive whiteboard or
computers other examples
include digital cameras,
digital microscopes, 3-D
printers as well as things
like microphones and
projectors as well.
21st Century is to promote student-
centered learning.

Our education system has taught problem-solving
in a show-and-tell manner (we show students the
problem, and tell them how we got the answer)
that has fostered a culture of dependency, rather
than discovery.

There's more than you'll ever need out there. The
skills you need to not only search for information,
but to create useful knowledge that will help you
effectively solve real world problems.
Collaboration Fluency
One of the strongest assets any student can have is
the ability to work well within a team. collaboration
with participants that are both real and digital is a
hallmark modern workforce

emotionally, and technologically.

The power of creativity adds meaning to
virtually every product and organization
in existence using innovative design,
visual appeal, and storytelling.

The challenge is that many teachers have not had the
education and training necessary to fully leverage the
power of technological tools to improve teaching and
learning.
Average students using technology to learn can get
higher score compared to those who are not using
computers.
We’ve learned a lot since computers were first
introduced in the 1970’s
Computers had change the way of learning.
Students have other sources of information from
computers than textbooks.
WHAT I LEARNED IN EDTECH 2
Educational technology 2 will involve a deeper
understanding of the computer as well as hands-on-
application of computer skills. It develops our mind’s
creativity on how we express our lessons. As a future
teacher we are given a chance to become an
effective teacher someday we are being thought for
a better teaching which is also helpful for both
teacher and students. All students should be involve
in the teaching learning process not only the teacher.
With the use of the new technologies we can easily
use materials and acquire higher thinking skills.

BRIDGING THE DIGITAL GAP IN EDUCATION Technology can be used to enhance critical thinking and critical literacy skills, evaluating the legitimacy and accuracy of online content is the central part of 21st century education. Technology is a tool, a way for fact-based learning and allows students to do a lot of the research using the internet and various tools. Technology is not just about interactive whiteboard or computers other examples include digital cameras, digital microscopes, 3-D printers as well as things like microphones and projectors as well. 21st Century is to promote student- centered learning.

Six digital fluency Solution Fluency Our education system has taught problem-solving in a show-and-tell manner (we show students the problem, and tell them how we got the answer) that has fostered a culture of dependency, rather than discovery. Information Fluency There's more than you'll ever need out there. The skills you need to not only search for information, but to create useful knowledge that will help you effectively solve real world problems. Collaboration Fluency One of the strongest assets any student can have is the ability to work well within a team. collaboration with participants that are both real and digital is a hallmark modern workforce

Creativity Fluency The power of creativity adds meaning to virtually every product and organization in existence using innovative design, visual appeal, and storytelling. Digital Ethics The right way of using technology, internet or social media

The role of technology in developing higher order thinking skills Online instructors can use technology tools to create activities that help students develop both lower-level and higher-level critical thinking skills. Reflectins Activities To enhance the level of critical thinking students do through reflective activities, tell students to cite course materials that have helped them advance their knowledge and thinking. Discussion forums. Discussion forums allow students to communicate with their peers, answer questions that require them to demonstrate both lower-level and higher-level critical thinking skills, and analyze course content.
  • 8. Small group activities. Small group activities allow students to communicate, problem solve, hear different perspectives, and collaborate to analyze and synthesize course content. By assigning small group activities, instructors can engage students in multiple levels of critical thinking. Digital Storytelling Activities. Telling digital stories allows students to use multimedia (images, audio, video) to present information. Digital stories can include 1) personal narratives, 2) stories that document events, and 3) stories that inform and instruct.

The impact of technology to teaching learning process The challenge is that many teachers have not had the education and training necessary to fully leverage the power of technological tools to improve teaching and learning. Average students using technology to learn can get higher score compared to those who are not using computers. We’ve learned a lot since computers were first introduced in the 1970’s Computers had change the way of learning. Students have other sources of information from computers than textbooks.
  • 12. WHAT I LEARNED IN EDTECH 2 Educational technology 2 will involve a deeper understanding of the computer as well as hands-on- application of computer skills. It develops our mind’s creativity on how we express our lessons. As a future teacher we are given a chance to become an effective teacher someday we are being thought for a better teaching which is also helpful for both teacher and students. All students should be involve in the teaching learning process not only the teacher. With the use of the new technologies we can easily use materials and acquire higher thinking skills.
