3. An Overview in EdTech 2
This lesson is an overview of what to expect In Educational
Technology 2 (EdTech 2).
In EdTech 2, the general focus on the integration of technology in
the teaching and learning process.
This encompasses the teaching and sharing to the students the
knowledge and skills to become better technology learners.
Not only to the students, teachers and aspiring teachers are
taught an updated on the new trends in educational technology so
that they may be able (we may be able) to use technology in
teaching students.

29. REFLECTIO
N
As I go on with my study in EdTech 2, I’ve learned that technology is
somewhat very helpful to us especially in the field of education. It transforms
our lives more meaningful when we integrate technology in our day-by-day
needs and everything we do in our lives.
It can make us more knowledgeable in so many ways that makes us
comfortable on the career we chose. Studying Edtech can be a better help
produces numbers of computer literates in the next generation. In addition, I
realized that studying Edtech and incorporating technology through teaching
students can change our world and lifting them out over ignorance.
Technology is very useful to us but we need to value self-discipline in using it
with moderation because if we use it too much and improper manner, most
probably, it can be harmful to us.
30. Furthermore, as a 21st Century teacher, we have to
absorb all the needed components of skills from the
gathered ideas that we acquire from the experts of this area
especially their literacy toward technology.
Therefore, upon learning Edtech, I almost
realized that we need to apply those learning we gain
– from basic to complex – so that we can able to use
them to the actual field of teaching. Also, not only the
basic skills we need to master as a teacher but
moreover we need to consider all the time to be up-to-
date upon the latest trends and innovations of
technology so that we won’t be outdated of this fast-
pacing modernization.
31. Yet, let’s make sure it shouldn’t be in our mindset of being
pessimistic in our view because that will affect so much in our
performance but all we have to do is to be consistent in our approach
and just use those errors as our driving force and as a sort of motivation
to make it better instead. Hence, learning Edtech is somehow enjoyable
and pleasurable one which will be our steppingstone going to the
success as future teachers someday.
As I conclude my statement about Edtech, all I can say
regarding with this subject area is that we need to be broadminded
and open in trying new things in the wide scope and range of
technology. Also, always to remember that in exploring ourselves in
technology though we can’t assure there are dull moments whereby
we can create errors over variety of tasks assigned
32. QUOTATIONS:
“ In education, technology can be a
life changer, a game changer, for
kids who are both in school and
out of school. Technology can
bring textbooks to life. The internet
can connect students to their
peers in other parts of the world. It
can bridge the quality gaps”.
Queen Rania of Jordan
33. “Millennials expect to create a
better future, using the
collaborative power of digital
technology”.
Mal Fletcher
34. “ If you live in an area where
there is not a good school,
the internet may be the best
way to get access to a lot of
education material. The same
is true if there is not a good
doctor- the internet may be
the best way to get access to
health”.
