3. Students demonstrate creative thinking, construct knowledge,
and develop innovative products and processes using
technology.
Explanation:
Teachers should create classes in which students could put into
practice their previous knowledge by creating and developing new
works and products with the use of technology.
It allow students to generate new and original ideas that at the same time
will contribute to the acquisition of new knowledge and the improvement
of skills such as creative thinking.
4. Students use digital media and environments to communicate
and work collaboratively, including at a distance, to support
individual learning and contribute to the learning of others.
Explanation:
Teachers should use digital media such as computers, videos,
television, games, e-books, etc) as a teaching tool. With the use of
Moodle or blogs for example, every student will have the
opportunity of interacting with his/her peers while they learn how to
communicate effectively to multiple audiences. This will also give
them the opportunity of sharing with students from other countries
and develop cultural understanding.
This way teachers will reach every students needs and learning styles.
5. Students apply digital tools to gather, evaluate, and use
information.
Explanation:
Students should be able to use technology to look for information
using a variety of digital tools and sources, but having in mind that
the information has to be appropriate for the topic.
Students will have to locate, read, analyze, evaluate and select the right
and proper information they need.
6. Students use critical thinking skills to plan and conduct
research, manage projects, solve problems, and make
informed decisions using appropriate digital tools and
resources.
Explanation:
Students will identify problems and make use of technology to
develop strategies, activities for solving problems in the real world.
This will give the student the opportunity of having a significant
learning.
7. Students understand human, cultural, and societal issues
related to technology and practice legal and ethical behavior.
Explanation:
Teachers have to let students know that the information found in the
Internet comes form other people’s ideas and that we have to use it
in a very responsible way. Teachers will show students how to use
the information correctly without violating any law.
This has to be teach form the very beginning, because it is the only way
we can stop plagiarism.
8. Students demonstrate a sound understanding of technology
concepts, systems, and operations.
Explanation:
Students should now how to use digital tools correctly in order to be
effective, but to reach this, teacher will have to go hand by hand
with the students and will also have to model how to use the
applications and how to deal with troubleshooting.
It is important for the students an also for the teacher to be aware of
how to use the tools if they want an effective result.
