A 2-year old female dog was brought to Dr. Allah Bux Kachiwal's surgery clinic with a complaint of vaginal prolapse. Vaginal prolapse occurs when structures like the uterus, rectum, bladder, or vagina fall out of their normal positions. The treatment for this dog involved spaying, which is the removal of the ovaries. The procedure first involved tying structures, then giving a 3-inch incision in the inguinal region to remove the ovaries. Dexon suture material was used for suturing and the dog was prescribed Dexamethasone and Penicillin injections.
