in 1901.
Classification based on presence of specific antigen on
the surface of red blood cells(RBCs)
Blood antigens are actually sugar attached with red blood
cells.

15. Procedure:
1. take 3 cleaned glass maked as A,B AND D
Puncture the finger and blood drop on individual slides then take
blood grouping kit in which antisera A,B and D are present.
Put one drop of anti sera A on slide A, anti sera B on slide B, and
antisera D on D slide.
Mix the antisera well with the blood.
After few minutes determine the agglutination.
If agglutition is found on slide A, group will be A, if it is on slide B
group will be B and and if found on both group will be AB and if no
agglutition is found on both A and B slide , group will be O
