The document describes the steps to model and analyze a mat foundation in a structural analysis software:
1) A mat foundation with dimensions 9.5m x 10m and thickness of 0.45m is modeled using plate elements.
2) The plate elements are assigned a thickness property of 0.45m.
3) Subgrade reaction values of 750kN/m3, 1500kN/m3, and 3000kN/m3 are applied as support conditions.
4) Dead and live loads of -250kN and -150kN respectively are applied at the support nodes.
5) An analysis is run to determine support reactions and member forces/stresses.

A reinforced concrete mat foundation is a common type of foundation system used in many buildings. They are a specific type of shallow foundation that uses bearing capacity of the soil at or near the building base to transmit the loads to the soil. Compared to an ordinary slab on grade, a reinforced concrete mat is much thicker and is subjected to more substantial loads from the building.
This Presentation is done by students of Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology for CE 200 (Details of Construction) course. MAT foundation is a type of shallow foundation which is frequently constructed nowadays for specially basement pupose. Here, how mat foundation is constructed is described shortly.

design of piled raft foundations. مشاركة لبشة الأوتاد الخوازيق و التربة في ...Dr.youssef hamida
Of the most important paragraphs of design should study the effect of the Joint Working Group of the falling pile and fall of the soil and find a formula and factor common reaction one between sub grade reaction smart spring worker and worker response pile reaction called spring factor smart In the case of soil subsidence greater than the drop pile will move full load
piles and breaks down to piles or mat and vice versa
In the event of high rises and soil carried acceptable but not enough for the transplant can mat- piles
Regular spacing and share the soil with piles represent the programs work as usual spring network
And the introduction of sub grade reaction as factor in mat alone as well as the added factor reaction pile at each pile
But the application of this method takes the soil report by the impact of joint work between the soil decline and fall of the stake and the coefficient of reaction and give him carrying a load of soil and allowed the pile needs
Also must make sure that the applicable tag allows participation in this way the soil and pile in the joint
Assume springs for soil and piles

Roof Truss Design (By Hamza Waheed UET Lahore )Hamza Waheed
This presentation defines, describes and presents the most effective and easy way to design a roof truss with all the necessary steps and calculations based on Allowable Stress Design. Soft-wares like MD Solids, Truss Analysis have been used. It is most convenient way to design a roof truss which is being the most important structural components of All types of steel bridges.
This case of study is taken from the European Commission publication «Eurocode 2: background & applications. Design of concrete buildings. Worked examples». It deals with a six-storey building with two underground parking levels.
The aim of this exercise is to build the model with XC in order to obtain the displacements and internal forces in the structure caused by a set of load combinations. In upcoming exercises the verifications relating to limit states will be carried out.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

Quality defects in TMT Bars, Possible causes and Potential Solutions.PrashantGoswami42
Maintaining high-quality standards in the production of TMT bars is crucial for ensuring structural integrity in construction. Addressing common defects through careful monitoring, standardized processes, and advanced technology can significantly improve the quality of TMT bars. Continuous training and adherence to quality control measures will also play a pivotal role in minimizing these defects.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!
Work done in cooperation with James Malloy and David Moelling from Tetra Engineering.

Courier management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
It is now-a-days very important for the people to send or receive articles like imported furniture, electronic items, gifts, business goods and the like. People depend vastly on different transport systems which mostly use the manual way of receiving and delivering the articles. There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.

Calculation of Sub grade reaction
SBC =120KN/m2
Elastic mat subgrade reaction value is KN/m2
/m
As per Bowels subgrade modulus =40 x FOS x SBC
(for 25mm settlement)
FOS =2.5 to 3
Sub grade modulus =40 x (2.5 to 3) x SBC

For 50mm settlement =X/2
For 75mm settlement = X/3 (OR)
Subgrade reaction = SBC/ settlement of 25 mm
