TOPIC: “My Favourite Things” (Book, “Follow your Trail 1”, Unit 3)

I’m going to introduce myself and ask for
students’ names to know them. I’ll ask for 2
volunteers to write the date and how the
weather is like.

Speaking
First activity. The teacher will introduce
adjective pronouns “his and her” and their
differences.
Activate Prior Knowledge:
Teacher will show students a poster of two
well-known cartoon characters.
They will guess who they are, they will
describe the characters and what they have
as personal objects.
CSE will be applied.
T – Ss 5 mins.
Writing
Second Activity.
Teacher will deliver students a copy that
contains questions to answer. This activity will
be information gap. They will have to see the
poster and answer the questionnaire using
vocabulary about adjective pronouns “his &
her”, colours, objects, pets, and dates.

Third activity.
We will share the answers to the whole class
and socialize what we think about boys
playing with “girls’ toys” and girls playing with

  • 1. LESSON PLAN Nº 1 DATE: Thursday 30th, September, 2021 TIMETABLE: Thursdays from 16:05 to 16:45 and 16:45 to 17:25. LENGTH OF THE LESSON: 40 minutes SCHOOL: Escuela Nº143 Mariano Moreno MENTOR TEACHER: Maria Magdalena Muller. TRAINEE: Rodrigo Diaz Alcazar COURSE: 5th grade ‘B’ and ‘C’. MATERIALS: Projector, photocopies, Book “Follow your trail 1” TOPIC: “My Favourite Things” (Book, “Follow your Trail 1”, Unit 3)
  • 2. Procedures Stage/stage aim Description Interaction Timing Warm-up I’m going to introduce myself and ask for students’ names to know them. I’ll ask for 2 volunteers to write the date and how the weather is like. T – Ss 10 mins. Speaking First activity. The teacher will introduce adjective pronouns “his and her” and their differences. Activate Prior Knowledge: Teacher will show students a poster of two well-known cartoon characters. They will guess who they are, they will describe the characters and what they have as personal objects. CSE will be applied. T – Ss 5 mins. Writing Second Activity. Teacher will deliver students a copy that contains questions to answer. This activity will be information gap. They will have to see the poster and answer the questionnaire using vocabulary about adjective pronouns “his & her”, colours, objects, pets, and dates. Ss (Individual) 10 mins. Speaking Third activity. We will share the answers to the whole class and socialize what we think about boys playing with “girls’ toys” and girls playing with “boys’ toys” T – Ss Group Work 10 mins. Listening Fourth Activity. We will work with an activity consisting on listening comprehension from the book “Follow your trail 1” Unit 3, page 28, ex: 1 Ss Group Work 5 mins.
