Lesson plan N°1
 LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- To identify fruits and vegetables and their names.
- To link the unit colours with the fruits and the vegetables.
- To practice the listening, speaking, reading and writing macro skills.
 WARM-UP:
- The teacher will begin the class greeting the students through a short song.
- The teacher will give each student a badge to write their name.
- The teacher will begin the class writing down the name of the unit on the
board.
- The teacher will introduce fruits and vegetables by using flashcards. While
repeating them aloud, she will stick the flashcard on the board with the
respective name. Then she will ask some questions: ‘’What is this?/What
are these?’’ and ‘’Do you like…?’’
FLASHCARDS
Type of interaction: Teacher-student.
Macro skills: Listening and speaking.
Timing: 10 minutes.
Materials: Blackboard and flashcards.

FIRST ACTIVITY:
TASK: Match the drawings with the word. Then paint the drawings.
- Students have to recognize the words and match it with the drawings.
- The teacher will check the activity with the students

THIRD ACTIVITY:
TASK: Fill in the missing vowels to complete the words.
- Students have to fill in the missing vowels for each of the following words.
- The teacher will check the activity with the students.
Pattern of interaction: Student- Teacher. Individual work.
Macro skills: Identifying and writing.
Materials: Photocopy provided by the teacher.
Timing: 5 minutes.
FOURTH ACTIVITY:
- Students will have to use the words in the list to complete the black spaces.
- Finally, the teacher will check the activity with the students.
TASK: Use the word in the list and complete the blank spaces.

  • 1. PRACTICE II, DIDACTICS OF ELT Teacher: Estela N. Braun Trainees: Villoria,Rocio;Pereira, Amneris School:School N°6 Coursebook:“HowdyFriends” Starter Course: 4th Grade ‘C’-‘D’ Timetable: From13:15 to 14:45 Date: July,28th. Topic: ‘’I’mhungry!’’ Lesson plan N°1  LEARNING OBJECTIVES: - To identify fruits and vegetables and their names. - To link the unit colours with the fruits and the vegetables. - To practice the listening, speaking, reading and writing macro skills.  WARM-UP: - The teacher will begin the class greeting the students through a short song. - The teacher will give each student a badge to write their name. - The teacher will begin the class writing down the name of the unit on the board. - The teacher will introduce fruits and vegetables by using flashcards. While repeating them aloud, she will stick the flashcard on the board with the respective name. Then she will ask some questions: ‘’What is this?/What are these?’’ and ‘’Do you like…?’’
  • 2. FLASHCARDS Type of interaction: Teacher-student. Macro skills: Listening and speaking. Timing: 10 minutes. Materials: Blackboard and flashcards. NAME BADGE
  • 3.  DEVELOPMENT FIRST ACTIVITY: TASK: Match the drawings with the word. Then paint the drawings. - Students have to recognize the words and match it with the drawings. - The teacher will check the activity with the students APPLE TOMATOES BANANAs CARROTS MUSHROOMS (Yesteacher,itappears inthe book. Woulditbe betterif we donot introduce it?) Pattern of interaction:Student- teacher.Individualwork. Macro skills:Readingandmatching. Materials:Photocopiesprovidedbythe teacher. Timing: 5- 7 minutes.

SECOND ACTIVITY: - The teacherwill write onthe boardthe page of the activity(pages38-39) inwhich the studentswill have to cut, classify andglue picturesof fruits,meatand vegetables. - The teacherwill checkthe activitywiththe students Pattern of interaction:Student- teacher.Individualwork. Macro skills:Identifying,Readingandcutting. Materials:The book,glue andscissors. Timing: 10 minutes THIRD ACTIVITY: TASK: Fill in the missing vowels to complete the words. - Students have to fill in the missing vowels for each of the following words. - The teacher will check the activity with the students.
  • 5. Pattern of interaction: Student- Teacher. Individual work. Macro skills: Identifying and writing. Materials: Photocopy provided by the teacher. Timing: 5 minutes. FOURTH ACTIVITY: - Students will have to use the words in the list to complete the black spaces. - Finally, the teacher will check the activity with the students. TASK: Use the word in the list and complete the blank spaces.
