Class description
There are twenty-five students in this group between 10 and 11 years-old.
They have English classes twice a week, for 40 minutes on Wednesdays and
35 minutes on Fridays. They have started studying English in 5th
year. They
come to classes after the break both times, usually with lots of energy but
when they are assigned tasks they calm down and work effectively.
Main aim
By the end of the lesson the students will able to use vocabulary about daily
activities and to write and tell the time.
Personal aims
I expect to get the students interested in the new topic and explain the
instructions well.
Timetable fit
In the last class the students have been working with how to write and tell
the time and vocabulary about daily activities.
Materials
1. Board and board markers and chalk.
2. Photocopies.

Anticipated problems
1. A noisy environment which may make this difficult for me to be
listened to.
Possible solutions
1. I will do my best to speak louder and clearer.

to revise how to tell the

listening activity.

Writing 1. If we have time, I will give
them the following
activity.
2. I will write a chart on the
board showing different
hours with “to” on the left
and different hours with
“past” on the right.
6. I will write two hours for
them to have them as
examples. Then they will
have to write each hour.
7. We will check/do the
activity together.

  • 1. Practice II: Didactics of ELT and practicum at primary school level Thirteenth lesson plan Huivan Sabina Lesson plan: PERSONAL INFORMATION School: Remedios de Escalada Nº2 Teacher in charge: Victoria García Coordinator: Estela Braun and Liliana Monserrat Trainee: Sabina Huivan Class: Nº 13-14 Course: Sixth year Level: Elementary Length: 35 minutes Date: 16th , October Class description There are twenty-five students in this group between 10 and 11 years-old. They have English classes twice a week, for 40 minutes on Wednesdays and 35 minutes on Fridays. They have started studying English in 5th year. They come to classes after the break both times, usually with lots of energy but when they are assigned tasks they calm down and work effectively. Main aim By the end of the lesson the students will able to use vocabulary about daily activities and to write and tell the time. Personal aims I expect to get the students interested in the new topic and explain the instructions well. Timetable fit In the last class the students have been working with how to write and tell the time and vocabulary about daily activities. Materials 1. Board and board markers and chalk. 2. Photocopies.

A noisy environment which may make this difficult for me to be listened to. Possible solutions 1. I will do my best to speak louder and clearer. Stage/stage aim Description Interaction Timing Warmup 1. I will give the students the activity that we could not work with last class. 2. I will bring flashcards about the daily routines that they will find in the activity. 3. I will give the students a set of pictures about daily activities. 4. They will have to write their corresponding sentences which I will write on the board: (I go to bed, I have lunch, I leave school, I have dinner , I get up and I go to school) 5. After that, they will have T-SS 15 mins.

Before we start with the next activity, I will show them a hand-made clock to revise how to tell the time. T-SS 5 mins. Listening 1. The students will do a listening activity. T-SS 10 mins. Writing 1. If we have time, I will give them the following activity. 2. I will write a chart on the board showing different hours with “to” on the left and different hours with “past” on the right. 6. I will write two hours for them to have them as examples. Then they will have to write each hour. 7. We will check/do the activity together. T-SS 5 mins. Homework/Have the students continue writing If they do not finish the last activity, they will have to finish it for next class. T-SS 0 mins.
