TOPIC: “My Favourite Things” (Book, “Follow your Trail 1”, Unit 3)

I’ll ask for 2 volunteers to write the date and
how the weather is like. Students will help
them saying what day it is and how is the
weather like.

Reading
As first activity, we are going to solve an
exercise from the book that consists of
matching question with answers about a
famous person.
The second activity consist in unscramble
questions and answer them with personal
information.

Speaking We will share the answers all together. T – Ss 5 mins.
Writing
We will work with the posters produced in the
interdisciplinary work with the teacher of art.
It contains a collage made up by students
about themselves and we will write some
sentences to be presented to the whole class
in the last lesson. They will write and tell their
names, family, favourite colours, favourite
sports, singer or music band, birthdays,
school, friends, animals, among other
examples.

LENGTH OF THE LESSON: 40 minutes SCHOOL: Escuela Nº143 Mariano Moreno MENTOR TEACHER: Maria Magdalena Muller. TRAINEE: Rodrigo Diaz Alcazar COURSE: 5th grade ‘B’ and ‘C’. MATERIALS: Projector, Book “Follow your trail 1” TOPIC: “My Favourite Things” (Book, “Follow your Trail 1”, Unit 3)
  • 2. Procedures Stage/stage aim Description Interaction Timing Warm-up I’ll ask for 2 volunteers to write the date and how the weather is like. Students will help them saying what day it is and how is the weather like. T – Ss 5 mins. Reading As first activity, we are going to solve an exercise from the book that consists of matching question with answers about a famous person. The second activity consist in unscramble questions and answer them with personal information. Ss Individual Work 10 mins. Speaking We will share the answers all together. T – Ss 5 mins. Writing We will work with the posters produced in the interdisciplinary work with the teacher of art. It contains a collage made up by students about themselves and we will write some sentences to be presented to the whole class in the last lesson. They will write and tell their names, family, favourite colours, favourite sports, singer or music band, birthdays, school, friends, animals, among other examples. T – Ss 20 mins.
