26. Research Evaluation
• Give an overview of how you conducted your research. Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each method
– Product Research
– I conducted my research using Google Images and seeing the different types of images on there.
– Strengths are looking to see what other people have made on t-shirts and seeing other people’s designs. Another strength is
gathering inspiration from the t-shirts, posters, magazines that are on the internet.
– Weaknesses are trying to find a t-shirt from the 1990s because I couldn’t really find one on the internet. Also, I couldn’t find that
many t-shirts as it was proving to be difficult.
– Questionnaires
– I conducted my research through SurveyMonkey where other people take the survey and see what interests them the most.
– Strengths are using SurveyMonkey for the first time and seeing how the website works. Another strength is seeing the results of
the survey and seeing how people answered and what they would like to see.
– Weaknesses are people not being interested in the topic that my survey is about and skipping questions. Also, I couldn’t really
think of any questions to ask on my own.
– Interviews
– I conducted my interviews through typing out what they say.
– Strengths are listening to the tone of their voice to see if they are interested in the subject and while I am asking the
questions. Another strength is watching their body language to know if they are engaged in what I am saying.
– Weaknesses are them not showing up on time and worrying if they aren’t going to make it. Another weakness is them
just not engaging or interested in the topic which makes the rest of the interview awkward.
27. Research Evaluation
– What sort of a response did you get?
– Overall I got a positive result as over 10+ people answered and gave their
thoughts and opinions. The response was pretty mixed at times but overall, it
did very well.
– How did you distribute your survey? Give an advantage and a disadvantage
– I distributed my survey by taking screenshots of the graphs and percentages.
An advantage of that is so other people can see the statistics and what worked
well with the audience. An disadvantage is seeing the results not go the way
you had hoped them to go.
