25. Research Evaluation
• Give an overview of how you conducted your research. Discuss the
strengths and weaknesses of each method
– Product Research
– the strengths of my product research were that I took time to examine other products
and look at what was stylish and how I could take inspiration from them .
– Questionnaires
– The overall strengths of doing questionnaire was by setting up a multiple choice
questionnaire it enabled me to produce specific questions that would shape the kind of
product to make.
– The weaknesses of doing the questionnaires were that some of questions were equally
answered which meant it was hard to reflect on what my audience mostly preferred .
Interviews
The strengths of doing my interviews was that it allowed me to ask much more
specific questions than my questionnaire and I got much more of a detailed response
to the questions. The weaknesses of doing my interviews was that by only asking 2
people the questions it doesn’t still give me a definite or general opinion from hip hop
fans on a broad perspective.
26. Research Evaluation
– What sort of a response did you get?
– Looking back at my responses I got from my questionnaire I would say that got a
positive response overall the questions I displayed they were all answered in a
reasonable expected way. The products I have researched have sparked my mind
and have given me more ideas to create an album cover and clothing merchandise.
The responses in the interview I got were very positive and It has given me a
brighter idea of how what look the target audience wants overall.
– How did you distribute your survey? Give an advantage and a disadvantage
– I made my survey on a website called survey monkey. The website allows you to
make up your own questions which are influential on the decision of which I
choose for my production . It allows you to have as many multiple choice answers.
To get my feedback from the questionnaire it shows the percentage of how many
people chose the specific answers to each question.
