2. Style sheet
These colours are all pastel and bright colours which may make the
magazine appeal to more of the female audience. I chose them
because they are bright and vibrant colours which will help make the
magazine stand out a lot more. I will use the pink and green colours on
the front cover as they go well together and is a good colour scheme.

3. Style sheet
These fonts are all retro themed as I am aiming for a more retro
themed magazine for gaming, this will appeal more to the target
audience because older people will recognise the style of the font
more than younger. I chose these fonts because it will help advertise
the magazine more and will make the text stand out more.

4. Style sheet
I went out to the library to scan images that I liked from the Edge
magazine and I found the circles and bars on each of the pages inspiring,
it was also a recurring theme with the circles and bars so it stayed with a
consistent style throughout. Also, I really liked the colour scheme of
each page and how they were laid out along with the images.

8. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
Computer crashes. Back up whatever work you have left on your
computer and move onto another computer.
Photoshop will not work. Ask your tutor and see if they can sort out the
issue. If not, you can work on a different part of
the project.
Cutting out the background goes wrong. Unlock the background layer on Photoshop by
clicking on the lock so it doesn’t look wrong.
Colouring the background. Use the paint bucket tool to fill the background
with the colour that you want.
The image is not the colour you wanted. Use the colour picker tool to grab the same
colour as an image or background.
Can’t download fonts. Go to dafont.com and click the download
button, then right click on the zip file and click
Extract All and then go on the text file and click
on Install.

9. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Overheating Make sure that everything is connected to the
correct plug sockets.
Wires all over the floor. Move the wires somewhere more safer so
nobody trips over them and injures
themselves.
Bad posture Make sure you are sitting comfortably in the
chair so it doesn’t cause backache.
Overworking at the computer Take regular breaks when working so your eyes
can have a rest.
Drinking/eating at the computer Before it’s time to work, make sure you have
eaten and drank during break so it keeps you
more energized.
Screen brightness Bright screens can cause headaches so turn
down the brightness so it doesn’t make you feel
unwell.
