2. The tagline for this magazine “Batman v
Superman: Dawn of Justice unmasked”
is placed just above the masthead, this
allows the audience to read a bit of
information which will entice them to
read more about the subject. This is well
known for magazines to do because it is
important to entice them to read
through the magazine.
One of the features of the masthead
is that it is at the top centre because
that is where the audience will first
look at on the cover of the magazine.
This is done because the audience
tends to read the top of a page. With
this it will allow the audience to look at
the masthead on the cover of the
magazine and know which magazine it
is. Another feature is that it is placed
behind the actor. This is done so that
the main image is more of the
attention in which people will pay their
attention to the image than the
masthead, because the audience will
buy the magazine because it is
featuring a movie that the audience
wants to read more about.
These are secondary images that are
promoting different movies or tv shows
and also exclusive previews inside. This
also encourages the audience to
purchase the magazine so that they
can get the first look into the movies
and tv shows
Existing Product
The use of the word “plus” and
“exclusive” is showing exclusive add-ins
to this magazine and encourages the
audience to purchase a copy of the
magazine.
By adding other words “guild” “first
look” “first word” shows that there's
exclusive information that is inside the
magazine, which will intrigue the
audience to buy a copy of the
magazine.

The names of all the main cast are at the
top of the poster which makes the
audience attracted to the poster because
it tells you the actors who are in the film.
The Marvel logo will also draw the comic
book audience in as well, which will be
the main audience for this movie. Also
the Avengers logo will attract those who
may be familiar with the Avengers. This
also goes for the Marvel franchise.
People will attract to the film because
they know of Marvel and the previous
movies they have done e.g. Iron man,
Spider-man, Capitan America.
The characters who show up in this are
well known characters to a lot of people,
even those who may not follow the
franchise will recognise some or all the
characters in the poster. This will draw
the attention to the audience because
they will want to purchase this because
that it has some of their favourite Marvel
superheroes on the poster.
The title is the biggest text on the poster
because it is the title of the film. The
colouring of it is a silver this is used
because it shows connotation of strong,
like metal. It’s same on the comics so it is
recognisable to those who are familiar
with marvel comics.
The release date is at the bottom, the
font is the same as the title but is smaller
then the main title. The A is the same as
the titles A. They have done this because
they want to keep the same style
thought out the poster.
4. Existing Product
The text is large and the same as the text font
form the film “Star Wars” and this is in the

but interesting at the same time.
5. Existing Product
The main title is large bold font with a
orange gradient which makes it stand
out from the other text in the poster, the
title is in the top left corner of the poster.
The main cast and people who have
worked on the film are at the bottom of
the poster because this will be the last
thig people will see but the audience will
want to know what actors are in the film
and who has helped make the film.
There are some slogans/quotes that are
on the film which are relevant to the
move and the poster.
Symbols at the bottom are for copyright
and age so people don’t copy this poster
and use it as their own and so that
people know what the age range for the

The colouring of the whole poster is that
it will attract the audience and because

25. Audience Profile
Category Demographic Content to appeal to this audience
Age Range 14 – 35
• The products will appeal to the demographic because
of the colour scheme such as reds, oranges, greens,
purple and browns. I would include images that
would be relevant to film and age range this will
appeal to the demographic as it will reflect trends in
to popular films. There will also be slogans that will
be in the age range that they may know.
Gender Mostly male
• Mostly males at this age tend to like superheroes/sci-
fi films more than females, the reason is that males,
like fantasy as opposed to the real world. Most of
superheroes and characters in sci-fi films are male
and tend to wear primary colours that are associated
with masculinity.
Psychographic
Emulator. This group
wants to appear like
an achiever to attract
the opposite sex or
the approval of their
peers. They respond
to messages about
achievement.
• My t-shirt would appeal to emulators because most
males like to attract females. In the t-shirt they will
look attractive and eye catching because of the
colours and the images on the t-shirt.

• well educated
• middle class

• lots of
disposable
income

merchandise i.e. t-shirts, posters and

Audience Profile
28. Research Evaluation
• Give an overview of how you conducted your research. Discuss the
strengths and weaknesses of each method
– Product Research
• The strength of this is that I can find products what will be similar to mine and I that I can
get an idea from existing products and altering some aspects and use them as my own.
• A weaknesses of this is that it was hard to find ones that I could take some good
inspiration from.
– Questionnaires
• The strength of this is that I can get ideas from people to help make the product that the
audience wants and will attract their attention.
• A weaknesses of this is that Its hard to find the right question that will help you make the
product. Another weaknesses is that finding the right people to answer the survey and
get the response that I'm hoping for.
– Interviews
• A strength with interviews is that you can get more personal answers to your questions
• A weaknesses of interviews is that i got some answers that some people might think I
want rather than what they really think. Also I asked the people who may not know much
about the topic.
29. Research Evaluation
– What sort of a response did you get?
• I got good responses that will help me make the products that my
audience will like the see and have. There have been some answers
thought out the survey which won’t necessary help me with making the
finely product.
– How did you distribute your survey? Give an advantage and a disadvantage
• I distributed my survey by giving it to some people in my class to answer
via Microsoft teams and also to two people out side class who I know will
answer the survey.
• The advantage to giving it to people in class to do is that I don’t have to go
and find a lot of people to answer the survey and giving it two of my
friends out side the class I can get more get a wider range of answers.
• A disadvantage of this is that not all the people in the class that will
answer because they don’t know much about the topic (films) so they
don’t answer the survey.
