2. Process
I used the paint bucket tool to fill in the
background and then used the ellipse tool for a
circle for my main character to be presented in.
I like how it looks because it makes the
character stand out more on the cover and to
make it appeal more to the audience.
3. Process
I traced around this image for reference to
make my own original character but recoloured
everything to make it original and put it in the
circle to attract attention to the public eye. I
like the colour scheme of the character
because it makes her look unique compared to
the other characters included in the cover.
This is the referenced photo.
4. Process
I used the font Delicious Frosting, which I
downloaded from dafont.com, for my title
and made it white and then copied and
pasted the text to make it black and put it
on top to make it look like snow has fallen
on the title. I like the font style because it
represents the theme of my game that I
am promoting and appeals to a certain
audience. Also, it makes the text look
more bold and appealing to others once
reading it.
5. Process
I used the Ellipse tool once again to make
sure that all the characters were in their
circle to help familiarize the audience with
characters they all know and love so it can
help persuade them to buy it. From Google
Images, I got some sparkles which look like
snowflakes and I used it to create some
atmosphere of winter. I love how well they
fit into the circles and how they blend in
with the colour scheme. Also, I love the
sparkles as they go well with the theme of
winter and I interpreted it as snow falling
down on the characters.
6. Process
Using the Rectangle Tool and text tool to write the text, using some buzz words, I
created a subheading with the font Noteworthy which I downloaded from
dafont.com. I made a subheading because I wanted to persuade people even more
to buy the magazine and to attract their attention so it makes them interested in
the content inside. I love the colour scheme as the pink really goes well with the
purple and I love the font because it looks written on rather than typed which
makes it original and pleasing to the public eye.
7. Process
I used some Animal Crossing villagers, Maple and Poppy, to appeal to younger
girls more as the images sways more towards them. I also added some content
that they can find inside such as a guide, activities page etc. Next to it, I wrote
down the issue number and the date that this will be published along with a
barcode so they can buy it at the price of £2. I love the colours that I used to
make it appeal to the female audience to let them buy it.
8. Process
I used the Polygon tool to make a pentagon to
promote a contest for a Nintendo Switch. This is so
to help promote the magazine a bit more and
convince them to buy it so they can have a chance
at winning one. I love the gold/yellow colour I
used to make it seem like it’s for a winner. I love
the font used to make it stand out a bit more and
also, I love the colour scheme used to make it pop
more.
9. Process
I used buzz words to promote my article inside with the font Helvetia Nueue
with the bold italic. I also placed the sparkles on top of the text to make it look
like it is snowing on the text. I love the font for the game mention because it
makes it look very professional and the sparkles make it fitting as snow for the
theme of the magazine.
10. Process
I used the ruler tool under view to
make the lines to set the middle and
to make sure the text or images are
not out of the page. I love the ruler
tool because it helps me to know
where the middle is and it is very
helpful to know where you can place
everything.
11. Process
I made the contents page title in the font Helvetia Nueue in bold
italic. This is to make it professional and suitable for the target
audience. I love the font because it’s very clear and bold so it’s not
hard to read. Also, I love how the background colour makes it stand
out more because it will attract the target audience’s attention
more.
12. Process
I coloured these flowers in for decoration
to help it fit the theme. I downloaded it
from Google Images because I thought I
could use it in my work and make it look
appealing to the target audience. I love
the colour scheme because it looks like a
flower you can find in winter also, the
colours make it stand out more and
attract some attention.
13. Process
I used some snowflakes for my contents page
to bullet point the specifics inside my
magazine so people can find the page they
are looking for and be able to read about the
game and do some activities inside. I love the
snowflakes because it makes the magazine
give off winter vibes so they know what the
theme is.
