25. Research Evaluation
• Give an overview of how you conducted your research. Discuss the strengths
and weaknesses of each method
– Product Research
With the existing products, I can see the different styles that each magazine use and see
how the dynamics work on each of them. The strengths were that they weren't hard to find
on Google Images and the weaknesses were that some of the images on there were
cramped together and made the magazine messy.
– Questionnaires
The questionnaire results were very interesting to see as they were all pretty mixed results
of what people wanted. The strengths of the questionnaire are seeing what other people
want to see on my magazine so I can include it on my own magazine. The weaknesses of the
questionnaire are that there aren't enough votes on what I wanted from the beginning.
– Interviews
From the interviews, the two people I interviewed are very mixed on what they want to see
on the magazine. Both had two different ideas and different thoughts on the magazine. The
strengths were that it was nice to hear feedback from the two I interviewed. The
weaknesses were that they were very mixed and makes it harder for me to decide the final
idea.
26. Research Evaluation
– What sort of a response did you get?
Overall, I got a pretty good response from my interview and questionnaire as it
shows what people like and don't like about it. I liked the questionnaire where
with the 'other' option, you can let the people take the interview give their ideas
out to help you.
– How did you distribute your survey? Give an advantage and a disadvantage
I distributed my survey using SurveyMonkey which is a website online and it can
show the results one by one. An advantage of it is seeing what people like from
the ideas and
