3. Audience Appeal
The way that I have appealed to my target audience is by looking at what attracts my target audience the most, for
example my I looked at what m target audience liked the most from colours to images and the seem to like images,
that is why I have an iconic character on the front cover of my game magazine. The colours on the magazine as well
they might like so I decided to go with colours that where not gender specific like blues for boys and pinks for girls I
decided to go with black or red and a tin bit of blue an yellow to make it even.
White writing, this makes the
title stand out from the
background. This is good because
hem more people will be able to
see the title.
Little advertisement trying to get
people to buy the product. This
could attract more people because
they are getting free stuff from
buying this product. This is good
because it could potentially spread
like wildfire from people who have
bought it.
Lot's of little headlines, tis is good
because if people do not like
something that is been advertised
then they can also look at other
games that are also there. This is
good because people wont get
bored about reading the same
game or vice versa. Everything is
covered when it come o content.
Advertisements at he top of the
magazine to show the best
consoles out on the market,
these could then be bought from
a retailer if they like the console
5. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– Like the images and the colour scheme
– Like the sub heading at the bottom
– Like the image layout.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Make the product less bland and make it a bit less
symmetrical.
6. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
The design of the product
The colours used to create the front cover
The two page spread is well designed
• What improvements could have been made to
the product? You could make the two page spread with
more detail. At the minute it is bland but the design is good.
There could also be some sections with more writing.
7. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– It looks like a real established magazine cover
– A good colour pallet
– Good choice of images
• What improvements could have been made to
the product? Fill in some spaces that need filling in like
the bottom left where the tank is visible, you could fill in that
with another advert.
8. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback? Some main sections that I agree with is that some section on
my front cover there isn’t detail its just the background, I could add some more
advertisement's there to add more depth to my work. I also agree with the colours
used I feel like the colours I used where the right choice and going with a dark tine
made the magazine pop out.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback? The things I disagree with my feedback the most is that it
seems bland, I feel like there is enough detail at the top and bottom of the
magazine cover the attract the audience. I could improve the middle section
however as this could improve the look.
9. Peer Feedback Summary
The main changes that I would make to my product would be to add more detail to the middle section of my
front cover or what looks likes it needs it. This would greatly increase the creativity of the product overall and
would also make the product slightly better if I choose the right things to add to it.
Another thing that I would change myself would be to improve the double page spread section. I would like to
make it look more professional with better images to describe the things I would be reviewing like consoles to
games. This would also improve the overall look of the product. I would also try to add more detail within the
writing part of the double page spread. This will also look good because it will increase the amount of effort
and work gone into the product meaning there will be a bigger sense of accomplishment on my end resulting
in more moral and ideas.
Something that I might improve on next time is linking the colour scheme to my choice of images. A few
images stand out from the background and other things within my front cover. This would make the front cover
look more neater and stylish since there wouldn’t be random things stinking out from it. One example of this is
the red Nintendo sign, this stands out very clearly and makes the product look cheap since that one things
stands out. But if there is nothing that catches the viewers eyes then nobody will buy the product so I might
have to resort to other ideas to attract the consumers eyes like a bright name that seems to fit into the whole
concept or funny advertising slogans that will make them laugh and possible get them to buy It.
Overall I think I made a good first product ticking all my design criteria's and this is what made it the thing it is
now a good looking product that can fur fill its job and purpose.
