design is very dark and bland
this helps to make certain
colours like the orange stand
out more to the audience. This
will make the magazine more
likely to get the attention of
passers by as well hopefully
increasing the overall size of
my audience and increasing
sales.

The colour scheme of red and
white on the title helps to
make the audience focus on
this before anything else. This
may have been designed like
this because “PC GAMER” is a
popular, well known and trust
worthy brand, this may be
why they used this certain
colour scheme for the title, so
that the audience looks at the
title first before anything else
because if they know the
brand then they will be more
likely to buy the product.

this magazine has used this
certain colour scheme to
make the audience focus on
certain things more then
others to not only increase
the sales of the product but
to also make sure the
audience reads the most
important information first.
For example the majority of
the magazine is black and
white but the special offer
in the top right is in a fully
red circle. This
automatically grabs your
attention and makes you
look at the special offer
before even reading
anything else on the page
and makes you immediately
become more interested in
the magazine because
there is something free
involved

14-20 • I have chosen to target this age range because the
main topic I will be talking about is a 18+ game so
my content will need to be for a mature audience.

Male and female • I will be mostly aiming my product at males rather
then females because I think that the content of
the game I’m talking about will appeal more to
them however there is still a smaller female
audience that will find this content appealing so I
will make sure my magazine appeals to both
audiences rather then just one.

I think that my

round the age of 14-

• I think this because the majority of gamers are
based round this age and gender so the main
topic I’m talking about will appeal mostly to them.
I still think my product will appeal to other
audiences however I think it suits this audience
the most.

Middle social class • I think my product will best suit the middle social
class because the majority of people in this social
class have things related to the topic of my
magazine such as PlayStations, Xbox or gaming
pc’s etc.
