3. Research
• The strength of my research is that I found some really good gaming
magazines and they look like they would be something that I wanted mine
to look like and I think that it really helped me decide and get inspiration
from.
• The research helped me make my product because I took ideas from the
three magazines and made them my own.
• The weakness of my research is that some of the bits of my research
didn’t help me that much like some of the pictures because I wasn’t going
to use them in my own work
• The things that I could have done better is that I could have done better
would be to find some double page spreads because all of the pictures
that I found are just front covers and that might have helped me,
• The effect that this could have had on my work is that I could have done a
lot better on my double page spread if I did a little bit more research into
it.
4. Planning
• The strengths of my planning is that I think that I did a lot of planning and I
think that I was ready to design my final front cover of my magazine and
the double page spread.
• My planning helped me in my final product because I was ready to make
my final product because I did a lot of planning before, I started with my
final product.
• The weakness of my planning is that I didn’t find a lot of pictures of other
magazines and double page spreads.
• The thing that I could have done better would be to find more pictures on
the front cover of the magazine and double page spread.
5. Time Management
• I think that I managed my time well because I was taking my time with it
and I knew how long I would have to finish my product and I made a time
plan so I knew exactly what to do on which days to make sure I had
enough time o finish.
• I did finish my product on time and I don’t think my product would be
improved with more time because I had a lot of time on it already and I
think that it looks really good.
• If I had more time on my product I would have made more pages on my
magazine and rate some more games rather that just one.
6. Technical Qualities front page
They both
have
master
heads
I have a
logo
I have
games at
the bottom
with
pictures
They have pluffs
They both
have
something
you can
win
7. Technical Qualities double page spread
They both have master
heads that stand out Both have a main image
This is a
black
background
8. Aesthetic Qualities
I think that my work looks good because I used good images that are clear, and I made
my own logo and I think that I looks better when I made it.
I think that it was creative because I used all my own ideas.
The aspects of my magazine that I like are the logo that I made because I think it make
the magazine better and it has got more of my own ideas on it.
The thing that I would improve would be Maybe move the console logos a little bit
because they are a bit close together.
The strengths of my magazine is that I made it so it would look like a real magazine
that is professional.
The weakness of my magazine is that spacing things out more like the console logos
11. Audience Appeal
I appealed to my target audience by making it for 16–25-year-
olds by making it more for teenagers rather than children.
The specific bit of my content that would appeal to my target
audience would be the double page spread because it has got
one of the biggest game played and most of them were
teenagers.
13. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
• I like the images and the colours. I also like the description on the
double spreadsheet. I like how you put a product to win and
other games at the bottom of the front cover.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
• I think you could add more colours to the double spreadsheet.
Like the colours from your Spider man character, then use those
colours for the background and for the text.
14. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
- I like the colour scheme, it stands out.
- I also like the use of other games being advertised, showing what other games
you are going to see information on in the magazine.
- The use of a plug that shows people they can win a free console.
- I like the custom-made logo, because it looks unique.
- The review for the new Spider-Man game.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
- You could try making the text a bit smaller for the double paged spread, so it
all fits.
- Could have a price tag on the front cover, telling people what the price of the
magazine is.
15. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I really like how you made your own custom logo for your magazine
and how there's a little grey bar that tells you what type of content is
in the magazine, and I even like how you went with a sideways barcode
which in all honesty, I didn’t think about doing that but looks a lot
more realistic as well. And for the double spread you really used a
good use of colours for the background and image.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
– There Is a phew things. One being that the "what console do you
choose" square is slightly not even and also the ps4 blue background is
also a bit uneven with the green background and maybe have more of
a better image for the hitman serises image (I mean if it’s a part of the
game or like advertisment then ignore this) and for the double spread,
I think instead of "I think you should buy this game because-" you
should
16. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback? That they like the logo that I made and
that the barcode is on a side and there is a
product to win.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
• From my feedback I disagree with that they think
that the text on the double page spread should
be smaller, and I did put a price on the front
cover of the magazine.
17. Peer Feedback Summary
The changes that I would make based upon my peer
feedback would be to move the console logo on the front
page and spread them out a little bit and put more covers
on the double page spread because I think that it would
make it much better and look better.
