2. Process
• The first thing I did for this magazine was to find a
picture of a fish to represent fishing and the beauty of it,
this image of a marlin I found shows this and represents
it perfectly. Whilst finding the image I had to increase
the image size so the quality of the background wasn’t
bad quality.
• The second thing I decided to add into this front cover is
the title, this is because people need to know what the
magazine called. This also gives the magazine an identity
which is needed. I chose and nice dark red to stand out
from the vibrant sea water that is just behind it. One
thing I could of improved with the title could’ve been
that the words fishing times where closer together this
would’ve been ideal because the front cover would’ve
looked more crisp and clear. I added marlin masters in
the bottom this adds more depth, the way it does this is
by added more detail at the bottom making it less boring
to look at but its also a catch line MARLIN MASTERS.
• Another thing that I added was the price, the price helps
people identify how much it costs but also could lure
them into buying it if its cheap. I put the price at the top
because people naturally start at the top and finis at the
bottom. This puts the price in the customers mind
straight away.
• The last thing I added was a promotional advert at the
top but in small. this will hopefully combine with the
price to form a good selling duo because if they get free
things and a magazine for £2.50 then they will have to
buy it.

3. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
Some main points that I will include in my final product from the experiment will be
the main focus point of the magazine in the middle of the cover this should generate
more publicity. This should create one focus point which is what I want on the front
cover. I will also add promotional slogans to try and lure a bigger audience. I will also
add a big title which I try to do in my experiment but it wasn’t big enough so I will
improve that6 in my final production faze.
