3. Research
• I researched different existing products including existing websites. This was
helpful because researching other websites gave me an idea on how I can
structure my website.
• My audience research could of included more detail. My interview questions could
of included more questions about the website design so I had an idea of what
colours and images appeal to the audience.
4. Planning
• I made an outline of a website design and also a t-shirt, this is to help give me an
idea about the structure and layout of my website. Also this helps me plan my t-
shirt designs and what designs on my t-shirt appeal to the audience.
• My planning of my website is simple as it shows where the images, brand name
and logo will be. It doesn’t show the colours that are suitable for the website and
it also doesn’t show the backgrounds I will use for the website. So I made the
backgrounds as I went along.
5. Time Management
• I did manage the time of creating my product well as I finished the website and
clothing designs and also took some photo’s my self to model the clothes I have
designed.
• I also added some animations to my website, but if I had some additional time I
would of added some more animations and I would of also experimented on
designing different types of clothes for example, Hats, shoes and glasses.
6. Target Audience Appeal
• I made a questionnaire for my research where I question my target
audience on what t-shirt designs they prefer and also what my logo looks
like. I asked my target audience on which animal they would prefer as a
logo, so I can have a idea about how my logo would appeal to the
audience from my target audiences point of view.
• I also asked my target audience what sort of clothes they wear, so I have
an idea of what sort of clothes to design.
7. Technical Qualities
Both websites have a box
about the “sale” on the
home page of the website.
Also both websites include
models wearing their
branded clothes that they
are advertising on the
website.
My website and
the existing
website both have
their
website/brand
names on the top
corners of the
website. A
difference is my
logo is at the top
of the website
next to my brand
name and ‘urban
outfitters’ doesn’t
have a certain
brand logo as it’s a
clothing website
that sell lots of
different clothing
brands.
8. Aesthetic Qualities
I have animated the top
picture so it fades out
into another image. I
think this looks good
because it means I can
add another image of
my branded clothes
being modelled.
To improve my website
design I would design more
clothes and add more
images of them to the
website. I would add
another page to the
website and use animations
to show them.
I have added the same background
behind each of the models at the
bottom of the page. This looks
good as it looks like a theme and
doesn’t make the images look out
of place.
9. Aesthetic Qualities
On the top image I
like how the t-shirt
has the black stripes
that stand out over
the white t-shirt. Also
I like how in the black
stripes it says ‘sully’ in
the font “Blackadder
ITC”. The text in the
stripes is white so it
goes with the white t-
shirt behind the
stripes.
The middle photo
is very simple but I
think it looks good.
The white stripe
going through the
middle, I changed
the colour to make
it more white over
the black jumper to
make it stand out.
The brand logo is
white over the
black jumper to
make the logo look
more appealing
over the jumper.
I think the bottom
image looks
appealing because
of the box in the
centre of the
jumper. I think its
creative how the
box has blue and
white stripes going
down the box.
Behind the text it
says ‘Sully’ in bold
white text, this is
so it stands out
over the blue and
white stripes.
10. Audience Appeal
In the questionnaire
the target audience
voted for a shark to
be the brand logo,
and I have used the
shape of a shark for
my logo.
The target audience
also said they
usually wear ‘casual
clothes’. So the
clothes I designed
are for day to day
casual wear.
The red and white festive
background for the winter sale
image would also appeal to the
audience, as it is colourful and
also looks like a Christmas theme
for the image.
The font I have used
for the ‘sully apparel’
brand name is called
“Rockwell Extra Bold”.
This is appealing to the
target audience
because it stands out
over the black bar that
it’s over.
12. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I like the layout because it’s simple and easy to
use, also the images are all nicely ordered.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– An improvement would be to make the main top
image fill more of the page so it doesn't’t look as
plain.
13. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I like how the animations are used on the website,
to show an extra photo of the branded clothing.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The website could of included links to social media
on the bar next to the ‘contact’ link.
14. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I like how all the clothing designs have the brand logo
on, I also like how you have taken photo’s and used
them to model the clothes to go on your website.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Make the clothes more colourful, experiment with
different patterns and colours for clothing designs.
15. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree that I should have made the main image on website bigger so it filled
more of the page so it doesn’t look as empty and would make it look more
colourful.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– I don’t think making the clothes more colourful is an improvement. As it
wouldn’t make the clothes appeal to the target audience because I already
have added colour and patterns to the clothes but not too much so I don’t go
over the top.
16. Peer Feedback Summary
– A change I would make to my website is that I would make the main image on
the web page bigger so it makes the home page look more colourful and less
empty.
– I would also add links to social media to the bar at the top of the webpage, so
the audience know where to contact the brand when they need to.
