Poster
I might do a poster because I have some interesting things I could
do, some of these include making a film poster, some main themes I
was thinking was an action film and maybe a comedy because these
are the two most watched genre of film this mean that there will be
a lot of people attracted to this film poster, I was also thinking I
could use dark colours for the action poster and bright colours for
the comedy poster. Another poster I was thinking od could be for a
game, this is what I would be most happy with creating because I
like games and the graphics they bring, some games I could create
would be either action of strategy game poster, this would be good
because lots of people like strategy games and you don’t really see
a lot of posters for games like that so it would be very unique, I
might base my poster over existing products but make a brand new
poster for the game. For both ideas I might add some text like a title
and a catch phrase just to keep them thinking so this would mean
that I would need to create a very mysterious poster that doesn't’t
give a lot of detail away except the character and a title, this idea
would be very good for the strategy game where they are most
difficult.
T-shirt design
This idea I might do a t shirt design because I could link this in with
the poster idea, I could create the poster then I could add the same
design that is on my poster to my top, I might end up creating a logo
for my top that represents a chosen idea from my poster if decide to
go with that. Also for my t shirt design I might do a full pattern on the
tops, this would be very cool because they will be very eye catching to
the people I am appealing this to.
The reason I might link this to the poster is because both ideas could
fit together. This would be very good because I could give both away
for free if I put the two things together. Another Idea I had for the t
shirts is I could do different style tops like vests tank tops and full
length tops, this would be very ideal because not every body likes
short sleeved tops so they might want something different for
different occasions. I could also put the design on different coloured
tops. This would be very nice because I would have more chance of a
bigger audience getting them, the only problem I would have is that I
would have to change the logo colours I I want a colour the top
already has. I might just create a totally new t-shirt design though that
has noting to so with the posters.
CD cases
I might do a DVD case for my third idea, this would not be linked to
anything and would be just a project on its own, main genres that are
mainly pop and rap, rap has made a very bf increase in popularity and
this means that I have a bigger chance of appealing to the target
audience which teenagers. On the front of the cd cover I might get a
friend to pose for the cd cover, this mans that I am using m own
resources and know body else's of the internet meaning it is more
creative. I could also change the way it looks and heavily edit it to make
it look more realistic, this would be a big boost, they way ill try and
make it look realistic is by researching what cd cases look like so I can
be accurate, this topic might be a lot harder from me unlike the other
ones because I don’t really listen to rap music or even use cds anymore
and I will have to research it.
Magazines
I might do a magazines for my final major project, this is because
I have lots of ideas that I could do like a cinematic magazine
where I could talk about new and upcoming films. I could also do
reviews in tis magazine t give people a general idea of what they
could expect from this. Teenagers today like the new style of films
that ae coming out, this means that a lot of my target audience
might like the look of a film magazine. Another idea I could do for
this magazine is a sports magazine, this would be very good
because more and more kids today ae getting back into sport so
hey would like a opener to all sports, I could make a magazine
briefly going over all the pros and cons to sports and different
sporting events, this would be very good because I would also be
creating something very beneficial

For my final major project I have decided to go along with the poster with the possibility of doing a magazine along
with it, I feel like I would be best with this because I would enjoy It more and something I enjoy more means I will put
in allot more effort to create and design the poser and magazine designs, some main ideas that I have been thinking
about is that the poster will be for a new game that is in produced and I have to create a poster and magazine to
advertise it, I haven't thought of a name for the poster, the method I might use to create a name will be by combining
already existing product to create a cool unique name. with this I will also try and find a good unique catch phase to
really get the costumers looking. The main colours I might use in this poster will be dark reds, aswel I might say it is a
promotional thing so maybe I could put a code on the poster and say you have to show this to a certain shop to get a
special item like a beta code for some sort of game or you get a game for a discounted price. this could be very good
because then maybe people will be more interested on viewing posters and the thing they advertise. This might also
get more people into magazines as well and this can really help this section of the market because everybody uses the
internet now.

Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
Yes there is repetition in these images and the thing that I have tried to keep the same is the colours, as
you a can see I have tried to stay with the colour red. This is because I want to keep the main colour
around dark red. The colour red which is used a lot in my mood board has connotations to action and
violence, this is what should really be on a gaming magazine and poster when the main game being
advertised is an action game. Its not only red being used though, white is used a lot when red is
apparent on the posters. This could be that designers don’t want the whole thing just to be dark and
deep, white when mixed with red creates a very bright and stylish poster this is very good when you
want to attract the consumers eye,
White has connotations to heaven and peace rather than red action and gore. These could be put
together on a magazine to cancel each others meanings out, on a poster they might be mixed to give a
deeper meaning into the game sublimely saying the game has features of violence and then peace.
How will your mood board influence your final product? My final product will be influenced in a way
that I design my posters in a unique fashion, I will make sure that I don’t just use the colour red and that
I use complete opposite colours to what is the main colour. This would be a very good feature to have
because it might just attract that few extra people and I have seen this on my mood board is that when
designers and posters are using a base colour they seem to have a light colour along with it, this feature
is what I will try and add in my own work.

6. Informal Proposal
Current Idea
Concept My concept is to create a poster that tells people what new games are been talked about a magazine they can
buy so I will also create a magazine to go with this poster. This is a good concept to start of with because you
need some advertising for a magazine and there is isn’t really other unique options like an interactive poster. I will
also look to see if I can mix my colours up on concept posters and compare them with each other to see if there
is any significant change.
Type of
products you
would make
The type of product I want to create is a magazine. This is because I feel like I am more interested in making a
gaming magazine over anything else like a rap song or an advert, this way I will get the best possible work out of
me if I enjoy it.
Another product I will create along with the magazine maybe is a gaming poster to advertise the magazine. This is
a good idea because this way I can get more publicity if there is more products of the same business name and
not separate products all together. The colours on these products might be dark and mysterious colours, I might
use bright colours for the poster and dark on the magazine.
What you will
need to make

I will need Photoshop and some other things like ideas and PowerPoint. I will need all these things to help me in
creating the best possible product especially Photoshop. Photoshop will be the main tool I use in crating my
magazine and poster.
The reason why I need PowerPoint is so can document my progress when I am creating the poster and magazine.
This will be a big factor in me getting all my work documented.
Audience Targets will be to people aged 13-19. I feel like this is a perfect age range because people between these ages
play games the most. I aim to produce a game that can be appreciated by all genders. I will reaffirm this in my
research when I create a PowerPoint. I will also make sure I have content aimed at this audience so I will mainly
be creating a magazine and poster with games they like and not what I like. This is a very good idea because it
means I am all for the audience boosting the reputation this product has with people all over and all ages. The
main genre In my eyes they like action so I will make an action poster.

Cd case • The main reason for not choosing this
idea is because not many people now
buy cd cases, I also don’t follow the style
of music everybody likes now so
wouldn’t be making a product I like
T shirt design • I didn’t chose this idea because I feel like
this is too easy to do and I want a
challenge and be much more creative
with my work.
