3. Idea Evaluation
Which of your ideas do you want to develop further? Explain why you think that is
the right idea to take forward.
Of the ideas I have explored, I have decided that I would prefer to create the Booklet
‘Lookbook’ idea. This is because it would be the most fun for me to create whilst also
being a great contribution to my client's business as lookbooks are an increasingly
popular form of advertisement both physically and online. Along with this, I feel it
would be very good for myself using a camera and experimenting with photography
and editing as that is what I would like to pursue in the future.
4. Development
• Development should include mood boards or other visual
examples of work. It could include basic mock ups of your
vision for the project using the work of others.
• These don’t need to be the same quality as your finished
pieces but they a good indicator of where your project is
going.
• As this is not final work, it may include work from others.
• You could include test work or practice work here too to
further develop your skills.

7. Developed Idea 1
I would use the original colours of the client's
store in my design because it will give a sense
of familiarity and make the product feel like
part of the business. Furthermore, I feel like
the colours currently used by the business
really show off the vintage theme that the
store claims to give it's audience. The wooden
pattern would primarily be used to
compliment the colours and give more life to
the product in the background.
8. Developed Idea 1
I would like to use this
particular font only with
different variations such as
the regular version and the
super version. It is the
same font that my client
uses for his business
currently and I feel like it
shows the vintage side very
much like the colours.
This font type would be used in descriptions for
clothing shown and any relevant contact
information. I may either fill it in with one of the
two colours shown above depending on the
background.
This font type would be used in the main title
and any important subheadings. It stands out
well from the standard version of the text as it
gives me more customization to play with and
stands out more too.
10. Developed Idea 2
these colours are an alternative to the
client's original proposed colour
scheme. I have chosen them due to
the pastel style of them which I feel
fits rather well with the vintage
theme that the shop has. It could
potentially bring a whole new vibe to
the business using new and refreshing
colours.
11. Developed Idea 2
This would be the main font used througout the design, using
a sporty theme to appeal to the sports brands that the client is
selling. It would fit the theme perfectly and also provide the
audience with a clean, simple and yet effective reading
experience.
This font would act as a title and subheading font due to both
the loudness of its design and also the boldness and clean
look of it. It would stand out well in a booklet/magazine
product and I would like to try it out.
13. Assessment of final ideas
Suitability for audience:. Do you think your audience will engage with your ideas?
I believe so. They will see the clothing and potential outfits available in the store and be
enticed to come have a look. My client has stated that with this final idea, he will most
likely send off his product to his associates in America to help them gain an
understanding of the types of clothing he is looking for. I also feel that the fresh take on
advertising my client's products will renew a lot of peoples' interest in the company and
what it has to offer.
Suitability for client: Does your idea fulfil the brief your client gave you?
I believe so because my client specifically asked for an advertisement to promote his
American sportswear section of his shop which is exactly what my final idea is. Any
changes that need to be made or that are suggested to be made can be discussed at a
later point and even they will most likely be smaller changes. I also know that my client
wants to keep his vintage style and colour scheme so I have created ideas based around
the vintage and retro aesthetic through colour, fonts and layout of the product.
Timescales: Is your project practical and manageable in the time you have?
My project is definitely manageable in the time given during my course. I feel that I will
be able to finish the final product with plenty of time to go back over the other
PowerPoints and make any changes.
