Mind Map
Mind map for
Coca-Cola
Seasons
Coca-Cola is mainly advertised in
Christmas and summer time, this could be
because they are the most refreshing for
the time of season some pictures show
this
For example
Here shows a Coca-Cola can on a beach in
the sun this identifies this is in summer.
The best selling figure for Coca-Cola in
winter is father Christmas, Coca-Cola put
his face on cans and bottles to show that
the season is winter and Coke is
celebrating this ready for Christmas.
Message
The message Coca-Cola brings is to refresh
people and to inspire people this can be
portrayed through the colour red because it
is a bright colour. The writing on the bottle as
well is very curvy and fluent this could show
us that Coca-Cola is very up beat about there
selves and take pride in the work and this
shows through to other people to take pride
in there work.
Colours
the main colour Coca-Cola uses is the colour
red, this could be because they want to
portray happiness to people but also
because red is used in summer and for
Christmas and they are there strong selling
points. They use white writing and this is
because white shows up really well on the
base colour so you can easily see the brand
name, this is good because it makes it more
attracting to the customer. Diet cokes
colours are grey and white the grey shows
that it is diet, red showing that it is full fat.
Audience
the main target audience for Coca-Cola is people aged
16-20 yr. olds this is because most youth and adults find
it a nice ‘go to drink.’ another main reason why young
youth and young adults buy coke is because the colours
attract them and that’s what catches young people
attention bright vibrant colours like red, thus increases
sales from young people. But this doesn’t mean older
people cant buy the drink. Some reasons why older
people cant buy this drink is because they have health
problems and Coca-Cola has lots of sugar and fat in it so
it might generate more deadlier diseases for them if
they drink it.
Slogans
Coca-Cola use a lot of slogans and
some slogans represent different
meanings depending on what
Coca-Cola are trying to portray for
example one slogan they use is
‘open happiness’ this tells us that
the bottle contains happiness and
you have to open it to unlock it.
Another slogan they use is ‘official
soft drink of summer.’ this tell the
audience that Coca-Cola is the best
drink for summer and there is no
other that matches it. The font
Coca-Cola use are mainly big bold
Victorian style letters.
ASA Codes
Number Name Brief Description
1 Compliance All marketing should be legal, decent, honest and truthful.
Make sure it complies with rules that are given.
2 Recognition of
marketing
communications
Make sure the consumer knows that something is been
advertised and shown for marketing reasons.
3 Misleading Adverts Do not lie to consumers as they can get the wrong picture
and so it misleads them into thinking it is something else.
4 Harm and Offence Make sure the advert does not harm and offence anybody
as this could lead to the company been sued and charged.
5 Children Do not direct the ads at children as this leads to pressure
on the parents to buy the product. Make sure the ad is
speaking to the parent.
6 Privacy Do not unfairly expose anybody who is likely going to be
investigated this involves mainly celebrities and important
people.
13 Food, food
supplements
and associated health
or nutritional claims
Make sure you do not promote unhealthy lifestyles
towards kids and adults as this generates bad health and
more health problems. Also do not lie and say your
products has health benefits if it really doesn’t.
Mind Map
• Strengths of using this method
You can clearly communicate your ideas across to other people.
You can include pictures which support your ideas.
Can get a lot of information onto a mind map.
Can always look back at it if you ever need to.
• Weaknesses of using this method
People might not like to read a lot so it wouldn't be useful for them.
If the information isn't clearly explained it can become confusing.
To many pictures could become a distraction for people, this could cause them to not read the information.
You have to plan your mind map first rather than going into the unknown making one.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
I did like using this method because I could clearly explain every thing I came across and I could use photos to support my
information. I also like this method because I could use google and other web browsers to help me answer the required fields
which made it a bit easier. The only thing I didn’t like about this method was writing long sentences and paragraphs
Mood Board
Mood Board
• Strengths of using this method
Pictures can attract people eye and make them look at it.
Pictures can show what words cant describe.
Pictures can be more interesting than words because you don’t have to read anything.
Can save time because you don’t have to write anything.
• Weaknesses of using this method
There isn't any words so if you are trying to explain something then it can become a lot harder.
Some people might not understand what message you are trying to convey to them.
Certain pictures might not show what you are trying talking about in your mood board.
They are not very interactive and sometimes can be very dull and un inspirational.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
I did like this method because I only had to get pictures from the internet, this made it much easier to convey my message. I also
liked using this method because it was less stressful than having to write, thus made it easier on my mind.

Style Sheet
• Strengths of using this method
Can clearly present your work across to other people on a style sheet .
You can plan ahead what you are going to do and get ahead start.
Covey a lot of ideas onto a style sheet, this makes it easier for you to work and look at ideas on your style sheet.
• Weaknesses of using this method
Style sheets can be very boring and dull
If the style sheet isn’t neat then it will be hard to understand what to do.
Not sure what you are doing then it can be very difficult
• Did you like using this method? Why?
I do not like this method because it takes a lot of planning and if you do not like the end result then you have wasted all your time
on planning something useless, this is bad because you could of spent that time on making something useful. I would rather do a
mood board or a mind because they are more simple to complete. What I do like about this method though is that if you do get
you're planning correct then you could easily speed up you're design process.

This is my slogan in Harlow
solid italics. I chose this as
my slogan because people
need to be ready for the
day and have that little
something extra so my
slogan tells them that this
gives them the boost
This is my brand name and the
font is Harlow solid italics. I
chose this to be the colour blue
because it shows up really well
on orange this will catch the
costumers eyes.
This is a number to get into contact
with the company from more
information
Email: Coca-cola@gmail.com
This is my secondary
slogan that encourages
people to buy the product
this is mainly directed at
older people though.
This is a mock up of what
the can will look like so
there will be more added
details to the can at the
end.
This could be classed as
the mascot who represents
the drink or who is most
linked to the drink. This is
good because the more
people know about the
drink the more people
know about the mascot
and vice versa
Colours used
Layout Plan
• Strengths of using this method
You can design anything you want which is good because you can do what you want on the layout plan.
It is fun so you do not have to stress about not making the best possible design
It is only a mock up so you cant really make any mistakes
• Weaknesses of using this method
You might struggle with ideas if you have non at first
Take while to design so might not get as much work done as you might like to.
The layout plan may not work for everyone so it makes it difficult.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
I like this method because I could design what I have been thinking of in rough this made it much easier for me because I can always look back
at what I did to get more ideas or to just remind myself bout what I did. The only thing I didn’t like about this method was that I had to
combine things together to make what I wanted this got confusing and complicated at times.
Brainstorm
Brainstorm
• Strengths of using this method
You can get lots of people opinions so there is a better chance of you creating a good radio advert.
Can take different approaches towards your radio advert that you would never thought you would.
Doesn’t have to be stressful when brainstorming so you could get more work done been under less amounts of pressure.
• Weaknesses of using this method
You will struggle if you are working by yourself to get ideas because one person can only do so much and think of certain ideas.
Could be a distraction if there is a lot of people in one group because everybody will just talk to each other.
Some people in a group might be scared of talking so they don’t want to suggest anything to the group.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
I liked this method because you could listen to radio ads on the internet and this made it much easier and less stressful, this was
because I could pick certain ideas from the radio ads instead of having to think of them without any material to look at. I also liked
this method because it was fun this was because you could listen to different styles of radio ads and some where funny which
made it enjoyable to do.
Working Title: Coca-Cola advertisement
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Target Platform: Radio
What media platform/platforms would you release the product on?
Genre: comedic advertisement
What sort of a media product is it?
Language / Territories I would release this product in the uk and in Europe
What countries would you release it in? Would it be suitable worldwide or is it targeted at a specific
population? Is it unsuitable for any cultures or beliefs?
Synopsis / Treatment / Story / How the game plays: drinking Coca-Cola
What is your product about? Discuss how it works to communicate a message to the audience?
What is the main message?
One Line Sales Pitch: enjoy freshness
Sum up your product in one sentence
Style (similar products and graphical style):previous Coca-Cola adverts
What product is yours similar to? Why have you used it for inspiration?
Discuss this in relation to conventions and art style
Audience: 15-20 year olds both genders with low to mid class people mostly buying the
drink.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your product appeal to this person?
Legal & Ethical Considerations: there will be nothing offensive in our advert. We will restrict
children under the age of 15 from engaging because they are still not developed enough to
understand the importance of caffeine. Our advert should not offend anybody in anyway
hopefully religious groups do not take offence towards the advert as they might not like
Coca-Cola. The way we will ensure our advert does not offend anyone is by checking the
written scripts over and over again. Our product will be very different from others to avoid
copyright strikes and other legal actions.
Think about any offensive material you will include?
Will you restrict younger audiences engaging with it?
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Is your product using characters/names/logos of existing ones?
Will your product be sufficiently different from existing ones to not get sued for copyright
infringement and how have you achieved this?
Formal proposal
• Strengths of using this method
One strength with this method is that you can share more ideas with your group members and then that can improve the quality of your work
overall, this increasing confidence.
Another strength of using this method would be that you can look back at the information you have. This can refresh your memory of what
you are going to be doing.
• Weaknesses of using this method
One weakness with this method would be that you might want to change something on your formal pitch this so in the end it could become
confusing for yourself and for other group members.
In the formal pitch there be a lot of information to process this can be come stressful for people causing them not to do the work.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
I didn’t like using this method because there was to many words to write and process, this can be difficult for me sometimes as I don’t have a
big span off concentration on reading and writing. But the one thing I did like about this what that it explained every ting that you need to do
and that was very helpful because it was easier to understand the information that was been shown.

Maybe 14-18 yr.
olds.
Main target is older
teenagers to
middle aged adults.
Group Idea Generation
• Strengths of using this method
Very easy to do a group generation idea if you have a group
You can share lots of information with each other as long as you all are very creative
Easy to access all you need is either a pen and paper or a computer with word or PowerPoint
• Weaknesses of using this method
If you do not have a group then you should do something else than a group generation like a brain storm or moadboard.
If you're group does not have any ideas then you're group need to become creative by doing a moadboard or creative tasks.
It takes a while to get a good amount of ideas on youre group idea generation especially if one of youre members are gone.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
I did like this method because I could work with a group and this was good because we all could generate more ideas the more we
said and this was good because at the end of it will have lots of ideas. Another reason why I like this method was because you was
with youre friends and I work better with friends.
Initial reaction
My initial reaction towards this project is a positive one, one reason being is
because I was looking most forward to this project.
But I am most concerned about the animation process, since this is my first time I
feel like I will fall behind a bit due to myself not knowing what to do. But I feel like
I will learn over the time this course is still active.
I most looking most forward to is experimenting with ideas and other people
opinions and thoughts. I feel like this would boost my creativity and help me
design new and better characters. The sketching part in this project I am also not
looking forward to this is because I cannot draw and feel like my work will not be
complete to its full potential, this will downgrade the look of my work. One
section I really enjoyed is creating the 8 bit characters on Photoshop, this section
of the project was really fun and I found that I enjoyed it very much.
Initial Reaction
• Strengths of using this method
One strength doing a initial reaction is that you can look back at what you said. This can re fresh your memory and make you perform better
doing your work on the adva games.
Another advantage is that you can work on what you said you disliked this can massively improve your bad side to the course in general.
Weaknesses of using this method
One weakness using this method is that it can be boring writing up and initial reaction this can lead you to do other things in the course.
It is very time consuming so you could be doing something much more important than writing up an initial reaction.
If you do not know what to write in the initial reaction then you are going to struggle because this task is a one where you have to use your
brain.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
I did not like this task because it was time consuming and I struggled to write things in the initial reaction. I also don’t like this method because
it is very boring because you don’t really do anything in this part. But one reason why I did like it was because I can always look back at what I
wrote and improve on the negatives.
Informal Pitch
•Strengths of using this method
When working with this method I was able to view and look back at my own strengths and
weaknesses.
Using this method allowed me to explore my mind and create anything I could which I really
enjoyed.
•
•Weaknesses of using this method
with this method you can easily lose focus on what you where doing, for example you could
get bored and leave it half unfinished because there is lots of writing to do.
•Did you like using this method? Why?
I didn't’t like using this method because you had to do a fair bit of writing and I do not enjoy
writing. This is because it is very time consuming and boring. I prefer to do practical things
like creating thing. One reason why I thought this method was helpful though is because you
can look back on what you wrote and improve everything, this is helpful because it can
improve creativity.
Sketches
Sketches
• Strengths of using this method
One strength of using this method is that it is very peaceful and relaxing which means you can get work done efficiently.
Another strength is that you can create even more ideas if you try and draw them.
You can also incorporate your sketches into your adva game.
• Weaknesses of using this method
You might not have any ideas at first so you'll need to get some inspiration first.
If you cant draw then you will struggle with ideas.
You need lots of patience to get the sketches done and dusted.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
I liked this method because it was very peaceful and I could just take it easy whilst I draw for good ideas for my game. One reason why I didn’t
like this method was because I cant really draw so I struggled to draw down my ideas that where in my head to the paper.
Formal pitch
• Strengths of using this method
You can communicate with somebody who knows more and can point you in the right direction
You can easily improve your work because having an opinion is very good for you.
You can also write down the ideas that have been said and so look back upon these labels and improve my work.
• Weaknesses of using this method
They might not understand where you are coming from so you have to be very specific with your pitch so they can get the possible ideas out
of you and them.
If you already don’t have any ideas then an informal pitch is not the way forward
• Did you like using this method? Why?
I liked this method because I could get more ideas from the person who is helping our group. This was good because we could
create the best possible piece of work. I also like this method because it helped me improve existing piece of work as well

  • 2. Mind Map Mind map for Coca-Cola Seasons Coca-Cola is mainly advertised in Christmas and summer time, this could be because they are the most refreshing for the time of season some pictures show this For example Here shows a Coca-Cola can on a beach in the sun this identifies this is in summer. The best selling figure for Coca-Cola in winter is father Christmas, Coca-Cola put his face on cans and bottles to show that the season is winter and Coke is celebrating this ready for Christmas. Message The message Coca-Cola brings is to refresh people and to inspire people this can be portrayed through the colour red because it is a bright colour. The writing on the bottle as well is very curvy and fluent this could show us that Coca-Cola is very up beat about there selves and take pride in the work and this shows through to other people to take pride in there work. Colours the main colour Coca-Cola uses is the colour red, this could be because they want to portray happiness to people but also because red is used in summer and for Christmas and they are there strong selling points. They use white writing and this is because white shows up really well on the base colour so you can easily see the brand name, this is good because it makes it more attracting to the customer. Diet cokes colours are grey and white the grey shows that it is diet, red showing that it is full fat. Audience the main target audience for Coca-Cola is people aged 16-20 yr. olds this is because most youth and adults find it a nice ‘go to drink.’ another main reason why young youth and young adults buy coke is because the colours attract them and that’s what catches young people attention bright vibrant colours like red, thus increases sales from young people. But this doesn’t mean older people cant buy the drink. Some reasons why older people cant buy this drink is because they have health problems and Coca-Cola has lots of sugar and fat in it so it might generate more deadlier diseases for them if they drink it. Slogans Coca-Cola use a lot of slogans and some slogans represent different meanings depending on what Coca-Cola are trying to portray for example one slogan they use is ‘open happiness’ this tells us that the bottle contains happiness and you have to open it to unlock it. Another slogan they use is ‘official soft drink of summer.’ this tell the audience that Coca-Cola is the best drink for summer and there is no other that matches it. The font Coca-Cola use are mainly big bold Victorian style letters.
  • 3. ASA Codes Number Name Brief Description 1 Compliance All marketing should be legal, decent, honest and truthful. Make sure it complies with rules that are given. 2 Recognition of marketing communications Make sure the consumer knows that something is been advertised and shown for marketing reasons. 3 Misleading Adverts Do not lie to consumers as they can get the wrong picture and so it misleads them into thinking it is something else. 4 Harm and Offence Make sure the advert does not harm and offence anybody as this could lead to the company been sued and charged. 5 Children Do not direct the ads at children as this leads to pressure on the parents to buy the product. Make sure the ad is speaking to the parent. 6 Privacy Do not unfairly expose anybody who is likely going to be investigated this involves mainly celebrities and important people. 13 Food, food supplements and associated health or nutritional claims Make sure you do not promote unhealthy lifestyles towards kids and adults as this generates bad health and more health problems. Also do not lie and say your products has health benefits if it really doesn’t.
  • 4. Mind Map • Strengths of using this method You can clearly communicate your ideas across to other people. You can include pictures which support your ideas. Can get a lot of information onto a mind map. Can always look back at it if you ever need to. • Weaknesses of using this method People might not like to read a lot so it wouldn't be useful for them. If the information isn't clearly explained it can become confusing. To many pictures could become a distraction for people, this could cause them to not read the information. You have to plan your mind map first rather than going into the unknown making one. • Did you like using this method? Why? I did like using this method because I could clearly explain every thing I came across and I could use photos to support my information. I also like this method because I could use google and other web browsers to help me answer the required fields which made it a bit easier. The only thing I didn’t like about this method was writing long sentences and paragraphs
  • 6. Mood Board • Strengths of using this method Pictures can attract people eye and make them look at it. Pictures can show what words cant describe. Pictures can be more interesting than words because you don’t have to read anything. Can save time because you don’t have to write anything. • Weaknesses of using this method There isn't any words so if you are trying to explain something then it can become a lot harder. I also liked using this method because it was less stressful than having to write, thus made it easier on my mind.
  • 7. Style SheetLetters Font: Brush script Harlow solid italic Font size: 44px 36px 20px Font colour RED BLACK DARK BLUE PURPLE ORANGE These colours contrast really well and maybe that’s why Coca-Cola choose these colours because They catch the eyes of people so that might sell more produce Coca-Cola Coca-Cola examplesBrush script Harlow solid italic Coca-Cola Coca-Cola Other colours: Coca-Cola Coca-Cola Coca-Cola Coca-Cola Coca-Cola Coca-Cola
  • 8. Style Sheet • Strengths of using this method Can clearly present your work across to other people on a style sheet . You can plan ahead what you are going to do and get ahead start. Covey a lot of ideas onto a style sheet, this makes it easier for you to work and look at ideas on your style sheet. • Weaknesses of using this method Style sheets can be very boring and dull If the style sheet isn’t neat then it will be hard to understand what to do. Not sure what you are doing then it can be very difficult • Did you like using this method? Why? I do not like this method because it takes a lot of planning and if you do not like the end result then you have wasted all your time on planning something useless, this is bad because you could of spent that time on making something useful. I would rather do a mood board or a mind because they are more simple to complete. What I do like about this method though is that if you do get you're planning correct then you could easily speed up you're design process.
  • 9. Layout Plan Coca-ColaBecome charged Tel: 01759 665413 This is my slogan in Harlow solid italics. I chose this as my slogan because people need to be ready for the day and have that little something extra so my slogan tells them that this gives them the boost This is my brand name and the font is Harlow solid italics. I chose this to be the colour blue because it shows up really well on orange this will catch the costumers eyes. This is a number to get into contact with the company from more information Email: Coca-cola@gmail.com This is my secondary slogan that encourages people to buy the product this is mainly directed at older people though. This is a mock up of what the can will look like so there will be more added details to the can at the end. This could be classed as the mascot who represents the drink or who is most linked to the drink. This is good because the more people know about the drink the more people know about the mascot and vice versa Colours used
  • 10. Layout Plan • Strengths of using this method You can design anything you want which is good because you can do what you want on the layout plan. It is fun so you do not have to stress about not making the best possible design It is only a mock up so you cant really make any mistakes • Weaknesses of using this method You might struggle with ideas if you have non at first Take while to design so might not get as much work done as you might like to. The layout plan may not work for everyone so it makes it difficult. • Did you like using this method? Why? I like this method because I could design what I have been thinking of in rough this made it much easier for me because I can always look back at what I did to get more ideas or to just remind myself bout what I did. The only thing I didn’t like about this method was that I had to combine things together to make what I wanted this got confusing and complicated at times.
  • 12. Brainstorm • Strengths of using this method You can get lots of people opinions so there is a better chance of you creating a good radio advert. Can take different approaches towards your radio advert that you would never thought you would. Doesn’t have to be stressful when brainstorming so you could get more work done been under less amounts of pressure. • Weaknesses of using this method You will struggle if you are working by yourself to get ideas because one person can only do so much and think of certain ideas. Could be a distraction if there is a lot of people in one group because everybody will just talk to each other. Some people in a group might be scared of talking so they don’t want to suggest anything to the group. • Did you like using this method? Why? I liked this method because you could listen to radio ads on the internet and this made it much easier and less stressful, this was because I could pick certain ideas from the radio ads instead of having to think of them without any material to look at. I also liked this method because it was fun this was because you could listen to different styles of radio ads and some where funny which made it enjoyable to do.
  • 13. Working Title: Coca-Cola advertisement What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later Target Platform: Radio What media platform/platforms would you release the product on? Genre: comedic advertisement What sort of a media product is it? Language / Territories I would release this product in the uk and in Europe What countries would you release it in? Would it be suitable worldwide or is it targeted at a specific population? Is it unsuitable for any cultures or beliefs? Synopsis / Treatment / Story / How the game plays: drinking Coca-Cola What is your product about? Discuss how it works to communicate a message to the audience? What is the main message? One Line Sales Pitch: enjoy freshness Sum up your product in one sentence Style (similar products and graphical style):previous Coca-Cola adverts What product is yours similar to? Why have you used it for inspiration? Discuss this in relation to conventions and art style Audience: 15-20 year olds both genders with low to mid class people mostly buying the drink. Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc Why would your product appeal to this person? Legal & Ethical Considerations: there will be nothing offensive in our advert. We will restrict children under the age of 15 from engaging because they are still not developed enough to understand the importance of caffeine. Our advert should not offend anybody in anyway hopefully religious groups do not take offence towards the advert as they might not like Coca-Cola. The way we will ensure our advert does not offend anyone is by checking the written scripts over and over again. Our product will be very different from others to avoid copyright strikes and other legal actions. Think about any offensive material you will include? Will you restrict younger audiences engaging with it? Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities? How will you ensure you do not offend anyone? Is your product using characters/names/logos of existing ones? Will your product be sufficiently different from existing ones to not get sued for copyright infringement and how have you achieved this?
  • 14. Formal proposal • Strengths of using this method One strength with this method is that you can share more ideas with your group members and then that can improve the quality of your work overall, this increasing confidence. Another strength of using this method would be that you can look back at the information you have. This can refresh your memory of what you are going to be doing. • Weaknesses of using this method One weakness with this method would be that you might want to change something on your formal pitch this so in the end it could become confusing for yourself and for other group members. In the formal pitch there be a lot of information to process this can be come stressful for people causing them not to do the work. • Did you like using this method? Why? I didn’t like using this method because there was to many words to write and process, this can be difficult for me sometimes as I don’t have a big span off concentration on reading and writing. But the one thing I did like about this what that it explained every ting that you need to do and that was very helpful because it was easier to understand the information that was been shown.
  • 15. Group Idea Generation Themes/seasons Easter/spring Summer holidays/summer Christmas/winter Halloween/autumn sound effects Coca-Cola can opening/pouring the contents out Door bells Background music Voice overs Events Day out Festival Holliday Family event Target audience 16-20 yr. olds Maybe 14-18 yr. olds. Main target is older teenagers to middle aged adults.
  • 16. Group Idea Generation • Strengths of using this method Very easy to do a group generation idea if you have a group You can share lots of information with each other as long as you all are very creative Easy to access all you need is either a pen and paper or a computer with word or PowerPoint • Weaknesses of using this method If you do not have a group then you should do something else than a group generation like a brain storm or moadboard. If you're group does not have any ideas then you're group need to become creative by doing a moadboard or creative tasks. It takes a while to get a good amount of ideas on youre group idea generation especially if one of youre members are gone. • Did you like using this method? Why? I did like this method because I could work with a group and this was good because we all could generate more ideas the more we said and this was good because at the end of it will have lots of ideas. Another reason why I like this method was because you was with youre friends and I work better with friends.
  • 17. Initial reaction My initial reaction towards this project is a positive one, one reason being is because I was looking most forward to this project. But I am most concerned about the animation process, since this is my first time I feel like I will fall behind a bit due to myself not knowing what to do. But I feel like I will learn over the time this course is still active. I most looking most forward to is experimenting with ideas and other people opinions and thoughts. I feel like this would boost my creativity and help me design new and better characters. The sketching part in this project I am also not looking forward to this is because I cannot draw and feel like my work will not be complete to its full potential, this will downgrade the look of my work. One section I really enjoyed is creating the 8 bit characters on Photoshop, this section of the project was really fun and I found that I enjoyed it very much.
  • 18. Initial Reaction • Strengths of using this method One strength doing a initial reaction is that you can look back at what you said. This can re fresh your memory and make you perform better doing your work on the adva games. Another advantage is that you can work on what you said you disliked this can massively improve your bad side to the course in general. Weaknesses of using this method One weakness using this method is that it can be boring writing up and initial reaction this can lead you to do other things in the course. It is very time consuming so you could be doing something much more important than writing up an initial reaction. If you do not know what to write in the initial reaction then you are going to struggle because this task is a one where you have to use your brain. • Did you like using this method? Why? I did not like this task because it was time consuming and I struggled to write things in the initial reaction. I also don’t like this method because it is very boring because you don’t really do anything in this part. But one reason why I did like it was because I can always look back at what I wrote and improve on the negatives.
  • 19. Informal Pitch •Strengths of using this method When working with this method I was able to view and look back at my own strengths and weaknesses. Using this method allowed me to explore my mind and create anything I could which I really enjoyed. • •Weaknesses of using this method with this method you can easily lose focus on what you where doing, for example you could get bored and leave it half unfinished because there is lots of writing to do. •Did you like using this method? Why? I didn't’t like using this method because you had to do a fair bit of writing and I do not enjoy writing. This is because it is very time consuming and boring. I prefer to do practical things like creating thing. One reason why I thought this method was helpful though is because you can look back on what you wrote and improve everything, this is helpful because it can improve creativity.
  • 21. Sketches • Strengths of using this method One strength of using this method is that it is very peaceful and relaxing which means you can get work done efficiently. Another strength is that you can create even more ideas if you try and draw them. You can also incorporate your sketches into your adva game. • Weaknesses of using this method You might not have any ideas at first so you'll need to get some inspiration first. If you cant draw then you will struggle with ideas. You need lots of patience to get the sketches done and dusted. • Did you like using this method? Why? I liked this method because it was very peaceful and I could just take it easy whilst I draw for good ideas for my game. One reason why I didn’t like this method was because I cant really draw so I struggled to draw down my ideas that where in my head to the paper.
  • 22. Formal pitch • Strengths of using this method You can communicate with somebody who knows more and can point you in the right direction You can easily improve your work because having an opinion is very good for you. You can also write down the ideas that have been said and so look back upon these labels and improve my work. • Weaknesses of using this method They might not understand where you are coming from so you have to be very specific with your pitch so they can get the possible ideas out of you and them. If you already don’t have any ideas then an informal pitch is not the way forward • Did you like using this method? Why? I liked this method because I could get more ideas from the person who is helping our group. This was good because we could create the best possible piece of work. I also like this method because it helped me improve existing piece of work as well
