4. Mind Map
• Strengths of using this method
You can clearly see all ideas and how they link to one another, using
only key pieces of information in a small space.
• Weaknesses of using this method
It takes up a lot of time and it isn’t always helpful as they can be
confusing when there is lots of information.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
Yes, it clearly shows linking ideas in an organised manner which I find
easy to follow.
6. Mood Board
• Strengths of using this method
You can see multiple images on a page that show past advertisement
for Coca Cola.
You can clearly present your inspiration
• Weaknesses of using this method
It shows you what you can’t do, because it has already been done
• Did you like using this method? Why?
No, it takes time which I could be spending doing something else
which is more productive.
8. Style Sheet
• Strengths of using this method
You can see what fonts suit the products, and what works and what
doesn’t.
• Weaknesses of using this method
Lots of similar fonts, and it’s the same words over and over
• Did you like using this method? Why?
No, however it can help you to visualise things.
10. Layout Plan
• Strengths of using this method
You can easily plan your final idea, starting off with your simple
original idea, adding detail each time to come up with your finished
idea.
• Weaknesses of using this method
There is no written information, and may confuse others
• Did you like using this method? Why?
No, I don’t like planning out exactly what I want to do
12. Brainstorm
• Strengths of using this method
Collaborate and show ideas, and to help remember things
• Weaknesses of using this method
People may disagree, may limit new ideas, may be more of a visual
learner
• Did you like using this method? Why?
No, it’s annoying and hard to follow
13. Informal Pitch
• Strengths of using this method
You get to talk you ideas through both as a group, but also so someone
else who can help and improve your idea(s), who may see flaws in
your plan which you were previously unaware of.
• Weaknesses of using this method
You only talk through one of your ideas which you, as a group think is
best, and no other idea is considered.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
I like this method as you get to talk through your idea(s) and that helps
me process certain things, however to me it would make more sense
to talk through all of your ideas even though it would take longer.
15. Initial Reaction
• To create a game similar to Donkey Kong,
where you have to avoid ‘rolling’ Pepsi lids,
going up stairs to different layers to rescue the
bottle of Coca Cola.
16. Initial Reaction
• Strengths of using this method
Clearly states an idea in an efficient manner
• Weaknesses of using this method
It is difficult to present and show more than idea
clearly
• Did you like using this method? Why?
No, it makes it difficult to keep track of different
Ideas
18. Sketches
• Strengths of using this method
You create ideas quicker on paper than if you
attempted on photoshop straight away
• Weaknesses of using this method
You may not be able to replicate what you want as
using pixels is more complicated
• Did you like using this method? Why?
Yes, but I wouldn’t want to do it every time. I like it
because you get to try out what you want to do
without using pixels instantly
20. Formal Proposal
• Strengths of using this method
You Clearly present you idea, and that you can keep track of what you
need to do.
• Weaknesses of using this method
You may find out whilst doing your formal proposal that certain things
you have to change from your original plan in order to stick to the
tasks given in the formal proposal.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
No, it takes a lot of time which I could otherwise be spending
improving my product.
It is also really annoying when you find out that you have to change
your original idea half way through in order to fit the formal proposal.
