Bright colors to
get the customers
attention
Audience:
Repetitive adverts to
tell the customer to
buy the product
Colour:
Adverts for example
they changed Santa to
red, so when customers
look at Santa they will
want a coca cola
Fancy font to tell
customers it for poor
people and rich people
Image:
Cold drips of water
dripping of the can
suggests it cold and
refreshing
Slogan:
“Open happiness”
suggests that it will
open social groups and
chance to make new
friends
Background:
The where about’s of
the adverts for
example the beach
suggests to the
customer it for a hot
and humid day
Its cheap price is available for any one, this tells us
Coco-Cola target audience is for people who are aged
16-19. The way Coca-Cola advertises is hypnotic as it
imprints into the viewers mind that when they need a
refreshing drink they need a Coca –Cola.
The Coca-Cola company
was founded in 1886
where it once was a
glass bottle factory.
Coca-Cola has a
relatable slogan which
presents the product as
friendly.
Mind Map
Strengths of using this method:
• You can visually see what points you can develop on
• easiest way to take hold of your thoughts and write them down
• The mind map makes it easier to link useful ideas together using arrows and lines so later on I can understand what my mind map is
about or what I am going to plan.
• When adding arrows and lines this means that I can build upon ideas and explain them without it starting to look to complicated or
confusing.
• Another strength was that you can use different shapes and colour’s to group and organize ideas together and even make a key so I
know what each shape or colour means.
Weaknesses of using this method:
• It takes time making the diagrams
• The layout of the mind map makes it more difficult to fit every piece of information on to the page. This results the boxes being small,
therefore you will need to build on the idea I will need to create a new box and join them together.
• If the mind map is written it can be messy and unclear as the arrows are pointing, which makes the ideas linked together.
• The mind map takes a fairly long time because on the computer I have to create boxes and arrows and place them in a specific place.
Did you like using this method? Why?
• I found the mind map method very helpful as it I have chances to write down simple ideas and explain them in a way that was creative
and unique. This also meant I could also use different colours and shapes. I was also able to think about the themes, images and text
that I would possibly use on my poster. Hopefully when I come to make the poster I won’t be short on ideas.
• Yes because you can visually see what points you have and you can develop them. However it does take time to construct the diagram.
• Overall I do like using this method
Mood Board
Mood Board
Strengths of using this method:
• Its quick and simple
• Visually see what the product is about and their target market
• The strength of being able to look and collect the pictures and other poster relating to Coca-Cola means that you can see which ideas
work well and what colours and fonts are used most of the time.
• When making a mood board gives you inspiration, therefore it made it easier for when I was designing the poster because you will
know what has already been made so you can make something different and unique.
• The mood board means that you can compare other picture and also posters and use some of the ideas from them to create your own
version of what has already been made.
Weaknesses of using this method:
• You can’t write any information about the pictures
• When I created my mood board you have to use the internet to find the images and then place then on the empty page which can
defiantly take up to much time.
• It also limits your creativity when you start designing as you end up using ideas from other people rather than creating your own unique
ideas that haven't been done before.
• I then I have to explain why I did choose those pictures because if I didn’t I wouldn’t remember why that picture is relevant or if the
picture was useful to my work.
Did you like using this method? Why?:
• Yes because its quick and simple and you can visually see what the product is about and their target market however there is no space
for information about the pictures.
• The mood board method was useful as I could see what the coca coal posters from previous adverts and improve upon them. I also
gathered inspiration for the themes, colours and fonts that I am going to use, an example is the coca cola font as this would make the
poster recognisable as a Coca-Cola poster/advert
Style Sheet
Style Sheet
Strengths of using this method:
• To visually see the different styles of font
• To visually see what colours match with the different styles of font
• The style of the sheet makes the opportunity to look at all the possible fonts and colours that I could then use them before I design
them, therefore making the poster easier to make.
• If I were to decide on the colours and fonts on the style sheet for the advert poster, which I have already have the sources because
they're on the style sheet, therefore this saves time.
• When I was making the style sheet I can easily compare different fonts and colours with each other, by doing this I would then make it
much easier to choose which ones to use.
Weaknesses of using this method:
• Takes time finding different styles of font
• cant write any information about the font
• It takes a lot of time to find the colours and fonts on the internet and then copy and paste them onto the style sheet, then explain why
you chose them and say which ones you are going to use. This then stalled my process as it was time consuming.
• The colour and fonts on the style sheet have to be talked about for example the design, this then will not make any sense to someone
else as it is in my note form.
• The method limits the creativity as when you design the advert/poster the fonts and colours aren't your own as you wont understand
the whole meaning.
Did you like using this method? Why?:
• Yes because you can visually see the different styles of font to suit the ad how ever it takes time finding the different styles of font
• When using the style sheet this gave me the chance to pick out the fonts and colours that I would like to use on my poster/advert which
will make it easier for when I am going to design it. I also had a chance to be creative with other peoples font designs, colour and seeing
which ones are the best and suitable for my poster.
Layout Plan
Layout Plan
Strengths of using this method:
• Visually see what your poster is going look like, which is great because you can see on what to improve on
• Quick and simple
• The strengths of using this method is that it gives the opportunity to plan where things are going to go on the poster/advert and if they
are going to work or look good together.
• This also stops me making many mistakes when making the finished advert/poster so it becomes easier and quicker.
• I then chose to use any colours for the fonts or pictures that are on the layout plan on the final poster. This means I already have the
resource I need therefore this makes it easier.
Weaknesses of using this method:
• Not much space to fit all the pictures in
• Cant write any useful information
• it is time-consuming as you have to gather pictures, fonts and colours for the the layout plan when your not going to be relevant in the
final project.
• This limits there creativity I had on Photoshop has more effects and tools than the PowerPoint has.
• it gives an idea of what the final design is going to look like, this can be uncreative as it stops you from looking at other ideas.
Did you like using this method? Why?
• Yes because you can visually see what your poster is going to look like, which is useful because you can develop/improve on. Its quick
and simple however there's not much space and you cant write any information.
• I enjoyed this method the most because it was more creative and fun to use, it was also helpful because I could see what my ideas
would look like as a final product. I also found it easier for when I started making the design. The layout plan meant I had already
collected the fonts, colours and pictures that I would need for my final poster/advert.
Brainstorm
Brainstorm
• Strengths of using this method
– Good to visually see all the useful ideas and develop/improve
them
–
• Weaknesses of using this method
– There is not much space for information and your information
could not make any sense and its time consuming
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• Yes because you can visually see all the useful ideas and
develop/improve them, however There is not much space for
information and your information could not make any sense and its
time consuming

Attention grabbing opener
Back ground music
Slogans:
“Ice cold sunshine”
“Ice cold refreshments”
“The cold crisp taste of coke”
Sounds:
Opening the can
Coke hitting ice
People sound effects
Jacks voice
Structure:
At the start of the radio broadcast there will be a
can being opened and being poured into the glass
where the listeners will be able to hear the fizz of
the coke, it will then fade to background music
and then jack reads out the coca cola slogan
Informal Pitch
• Strengths of using this method
– You can simply see the ideas in a organized way and get
feedback on how to develop your work
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Its time consuming to set the textbox's and information
because you have write it down and organize the textboxes
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• No because its time consuming to set the textboxes and
information because you have write it down and organize the
textboxes, however You can simply see the ideas in a
organized way and get feedback on how to develop your work
Initial Reaction
I am going to make a pixel based side scrolling
game for coca-cola. It will be made on a 320 (H)
by 480 (W) canvas. My initial reaction is to create
a street fighter style fight between coco-cola and
a other fizzy drink brand. Where in the pixel side
scrolling game coca-cola wins the battle against
the other brand, therefore promoting coca-cola
as the victor and the better brand.
Initial Reaction
• Strengths of using this method
– To visually see what information you have on making the
advergame and then develop it to the finished product
• Weaknesses of using this method
– It is hard to come up with ideas on the spot
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• Yes because you can visually see what information you
have on the advergame and therefore you can later
develop it to the finished product however it is hard to
come up with ideas on the spot because you are just
asked to make a plan about a coca-cola game
Sketches
Sketches
• Strengths of using this method
– To visually see what you can develop and successfully see what creation you
have made
– To see the disadvantages and advantages of your product before you make it
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Its time consuming because you have to individually colour in the pixels
– you cant write on the sheet so in the future you wont remember the
information on the sheet
• Did you like using this method? Why?
Overall I don’t like this method because its time consuming because you have to
individually colour each pixel, you cant write on the sheet so in the future you wont
remember the information on the sheet, however you can visually see what you can
develop and successfully see what creation you have made and also you can see the
disadvantages and advantages of your product before you make it
Formal Proposal
• Strengths of using this method
– The strengths of using this method is to visually see what work you are submitting
– Another strength is you can you can take lessons from this for a later project
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Its time consuming because you have to remember information from a later dater
– Confusing on what to do because it didn’t give clear information for what to do
• Did you like using this method? Why?
Overall I do not like using this method because Its time consuming because you have to remember
information from a later dater and Confusing on what to do because it didn’t give clear information for
what to do however The strengths of using this method is to visually see what work you are submitting
and Another strength is you can you can take lessons from this for a later project.

  • 3. Mind Map Coca-Cola Colour: Bright colors to get the customers attention Audience: Repetitive adverts to tell the customer to buy the product Colour: Adverts for example they changed Santa to red, so when customers look at Santa they will want a coca cola Fancy font to tell customers it for poor people and rich people Image: Cold drips of water dripping of the can suggests it cold and refreshing Slogan: “Open happiness” suggests that it will open social groups and chance to make new friends Background: The where about’s of the adverts for example the beach suggests to the customer it for a hot and humid day Its cheap price is available for any one, this tells us Coco-Cola target audience is for people who are aged 16-19. The way Coca-Cola advertises is hypnotic as it imprints into the viewers mind that when they need a refreshing drink they need a Coca –Cola. The Coca-Cola company was founded in 1886 where it once was a glass bottle factory. Coca-Cola has a relatable slogan which presents the product as friendly.
  • 4. Mind Map Strengths of using this method: • You can visually see what points you can develop on • easiest way to take hold of your thoughts and write them down • The mind map makes it easier to link useful ideas together using arrows and lines so later on I can understand what my mind map is about or what I am going to plan. • When adding arrows and lines this means that I can build upon ideas and explain them without it starting to look to complicated or confusing. • Another strength was that you can use different shapes and colour’s to group and organize ideas together and even make a key so I know what each shape or colour means. Weaknesses of using this method: • It takes time making the diagrams • The layout of the mind map makes it more difficult to fit every piece of information on to the page. This results the boxes being small, therefore you will need to build on the idea I will need to create a new box and join them together. • If the mind map is written it can be messy and unclear as the arrows are pointing, which makes the ideas linked together. • The mind map takes a fairly long time because on the computer I have to create boxes and arrows and place them in a specific place. Did you like using this method? Why? • I found the mind map method very helpful as it I have chances to write down simple ideas and explain them in a way that was creative and unique. This also meant I could also use different colours and shapes. I was also able to think about the themes, images and text that I would possibly use on my poster. Hopefully when I come to make the poster I won’t be short on ideas. • Yes because you can visually see what points you have and you can develop them. However it does take time to construct the diagram. • Overall I do like using this method
  • 6. Mood Board Strengths of using this method: • Its quick and simple • Visually see what the product is about and their target market • The strength of being able to look and collect the pictures and other poster relating to Coca-Cola means that you can see which ideas work well and what colours and fonts are used most of the time. • When making a mood board gives you inspiration, therefore it made it easier for when I was designing the poster because you will know what has already been made so you can make something different and unique. • The mood board means that you can compare other picture and also posters and use some of the ideas from them to create your own version of what has already been made. Weaknesses of using this method: • You can’t write any information about the pictures • When I created my mood board you have to use the internet to find the images and then place then on the empty page which can defiantly take up to much time. • It also limits your creativity when you start designing as you end up using ideas from other people rather than creating your own unique ideas that haven't been done before. • I then I have to explain why I did choose those pictures because if I didn’t I wouldn’t remember why that picture is relevant or if the picture was useful to my work. Did you like using this method? Why?: • Yes because its quick and simple and you can visually see what the product is about and their target market however there is no space for information about the pictures. • The mood board method was useful as I could see what the coca coal posters from previous adverts and improve upon them. I also gathered inspiration for the themes, colours and fonts that I am going to use, an example is the coca cola font as this would make the poster recognisable as a Coca-Cola poster/advert
  • 8. Style Sheet Strengths of using this method: • To visually see the different styles of font • To visually see what colours match with the different styles of font • The style of the sheet makes the opportunity to look at all the possible fonts and colours that I could then use them before I design them, therefore making the poster easier to make. • If I were to decide on the colours and fonts on the style sheet for the advert poster, which I have already have the sources because they're on the style sheet, therefore this saves time. • When I was making the style sheet I can easily compare different fonts and colours with each other, by doing this I would then make it much easier to choose which ones to use. Weaknesses of using this method: • Takes time finding different styles of font • cant write any information about the font • It takes a lot of time to find the colours and fonts on the internet and then copy and paste them onto the style sheet, then explain why you chose them and say which ones you are going to use. This then stalled my process as it was time consuming. • The colour and fonts on the style sheet have to be talked about for example the design, this then will not make any sense to someone else as it is in my note form. • The method limits the creativity as when you design the advert/poster the fonts and colours aren't your own as you wont understand the whole meaning. Did you like using this method? Why?: • Yes because you can visually see the different styles of font to suit the ad how ever it takes time finding the different styles of font • When using the style sheet this gave me the chance to pick out the fonts and colours that I would like to use on my poster/advert which will make it easier for when I am going to design it. I also had a chance to be creative with other peoples font designs, colour and seeing which ones are the best and suitable for my poster.
  • 10. Layout Plan Strengths of using this method: • Visually see what your poster is going look like, which is great because you can see on what to improve on • Quick and simple • The strengths of using this method is that it gives the opportunity to plan where things are going to go on the poster/advert and if they are going to work or look good together. • This also stops me making many mistakes when making the finished advert/poster so it becomes easier and quicker. • I then chose to use any colours for the fonts or pictures that are on the layout plan on the final poster. This means I already have the resource I need therefore this makes it easier. Weaknesses of using this method: • Not much space to fit all the pictures in • Cant write any useful information • it is time-consuming as you have to gather pictures, fonts and colours for the the layout plan when your not going to be relevant in the final project. Its quick and simple however there's not much space and you cant write any information. • I enjoyed this method the most because it was more creative and fun to use, it was also helpful because I could see what my ideas would look like as a final product. I also found it easier for when I started making the design. The layout plan meant I had already collected the fonts, colours and pictures that I would need for my final poster/advert.
  • 12. Brainstorm • Strengths of using this method – Good to visually see all the useful ideas and develop/improve them – • Weaknesses of using this method – There is not much space for information and your information could not make any sense and its time consuming • Did you like using this method? Why? • Yes because you can visually see all the useful ideas and develop/improve them, however There is not much space for information and your information could not make any sense and its time consuming
  • 13. Pitch Special Effects: Pitch's Tempo Rhythm Other: Unique Attention grabbing opener Back ground music Slogans: “Ice cold sunshine” “Ice cold refreshments” “The cold crisp taste of coke” Sounds: Opening the can Coke hitting ice People sound effects Jacks voice Structure: At the start of the radio broadcast there will be a can being opened and being poured into the glass where the listeners will be able to hear the fizz of the coke, it will then fade to background music and then jack reads out the coca cola slogan
  • 14. Informal Pitch • Strengths of using this method – You can simply see the ideas in a organized way and get feedback on how to develop your work • Weaknesses of using this method – Its time consuming to set the textbox's and information because you have write it down and organize the textboxes • Did you like using this method? Why? • No because its time consuming to set the textboxes and information because you have write it down and organize the textboxes, however You can simply see the ideas in a organized way and get feedback on how to develop your work
  • 15. Initial Reaction I am going to make a pixel based side scrolling game for coca-cola. It will be made on a 320 (H) by 480 (W) canvas. My initial reaction is to create a street fighter style fight between coco-cola and a other fizzy drink brand. Where in the pixel side scrolling game coca-cola wins the battle against the other brand, therefore promoting coca-cola as the victor and the better brand.
  • 16. Initial Reaction • Strengths of using this method – To visually see what information you have on making the advergame and then develop it to the finished product • Weaknesses of using this method – It is hard to come up with ideas on the spot • Did you like using this method? Why? • Yes because you can visually see what information you have on the advergame and therefore you can later develop it to the finished product however it is hard to come up with ideas on the spot because you are just asked to make a plan about a coca-cola game
  • 18. Sketches • Strengths of using this method – To visually see what you can develop and successfully see what creation you have made – To see the disadvantages and advantages of your product before you make it • Weaknesses of using this method – Its time consuming because you have to individually colour in the pixels – you cant write on the sheet so in the future you wont remember the information on the sheet • Did you like using this method? Why? Overall I don’t like this method because its time consuming because you have to individually colour each pixel, you cant write on the sheet so in the future you wont remember the information on the sheet, however you can visually see what you can develop and successfully see what creation you have made and also you can see the disadvantages and advantages of your product before you make it
  • 19. Formal Proposal • Strengths of using this method – The strengths of using this method is to visually see what work you are submitting – Another strength is you can you can take lessons from this for a later project • Weaknesses of using this method – Its time consuming because you have to remember information from a later dater – Confusing on what to do because it didn’t give clear information for what to do • Did you like using this method? Why? Overall I do not like using this method because Its time consuming because you have to remember information from a later dater and Confusing on what to do because it didn’t give clear information for what to do however The strengths of using this method is to visually see what work you are submitting and Another strength is you can you can take lessons from this for a later project.
