4. Mind Map
Strengths of using this method:
A mind map is only easier for myself to understand as it is a
creation of my own knowledge.
Weaknesses of using this method:
A mind map may be hard for others to interpret because it is
only my rough work.
Did you like using this method? Why?
I like using mind maps because I get to make look all fancy and
the way I want it with different colours.
6. Mood Board
Strengths of using this method:
A mood board helps because it is clear to others looking at it as there
are only images on it. Also, a mood board is time saving.
Weaknesses of using this method:
Sometimes the mood board can look really messy and because there is
no writing, so the person reading it doesn’t really know what to write
as you haven’t already come up with it.
Did you like using this method? Why?
I like using mood boards because it’s quicker and I’m more of a visual
learner.
8. Style Sheet
Strengths of using this method:
A style sheet is helpful because it is easier to have all the
different fonts and colours that you are going to use in one
place.
Weaknesses of using this method:
You might not use some of the fonts or colours and you can put
these on your mood board or mind map.
Did you like using this method? Why?
No I don’t like this method because it is not a sufficient way of
putting your style ideas down.
10. Layout Plan
Strengths of using this method:
A good thing about a layout plan is you already have your ideas down
for what kind of fonts and colours you are going to use.
Weaknesses of using this method:
You may have changed your idea which means a layout plan can be a
waste of time.
Did you like using this method? Why?
I do like this idea because it shows you a clear idea of what its going to
look like and you can change it if your idea doesn’t work.
11. Brainstorm
Evolution of Coca-Coke

school and moving on with their

• Bottle opening,
• Ice in a glass,
• Cheering and
• Fizzing
The songs from the commercials:
1990: Can’t Beat the Real Thing
1993 – 1998: Coca – Cola Always the Real Thing

2003: Real
2005: Make it Real
2006: The Coke Side of Life
2009 – 2016: Open Happiness
2016: Taste the Feeling
12. Brainstorm
Strengths of using this method:
Brainstorming is similar to a mind map and brainstorming is good
as its gets all your ideas down.
Weaknesses of using this method:
It doesn’t always include everyone in the group if they have
ideas.
Did you like using this method? Why?
Yes I do like this method because it is time saving.
13. Informal Pitch
Strengths of using this method:
You are able to change what you’ve written or improve on it because it
is checked.
Weaknesses of using this method:
It wasn’t clear that we were doing a informal pitch because we were
not told about doing it.
Did you like using this method? Why?
It’s good because you don’t have to stand up in front of everyone. This
is good thing because if you’re afraid of standing up in front of
everyone.
14. Group Idea Generation

15. Group Idea Generation
Strengths of using this method:
When your in a group you get more ideas down than if you’re by
yourself because there are more ideas in the air.
Weaknesses of using this method:
The group might not agree with your ideas because they might
think their ideas are better than yours.
Did you like using this method? Why?
Yes because it saves time as you’re in a group because there are
more ideas.
16. Formal Proposal/Pitch
Strengths of using this method:
A good thing about formal pitch is it has questions which you can
answer quickly because if you are in a rush then it is a good way to do
a pitch.
Weaknesses of using this method:
If someone was reading it, they may not understand what you’ve
written as they are your notes.
Did you like using this method? Why?
This is a good way of getting your ideas down as it is a fast process.
17. Initial Reaction
My initial reaction to making an advergame was ‘What is an
advergame and what am I going to do?’. I was very unsure on
what I was going to do until I found out what an advergame was
and I had a look at everyone else’s designs. I thought I should do
something along the lines of Christmas as this is my theme
throughout my work. My idea was Santa dropping Coca – Cola
cans down the chimneys of houses.
19. Sketches
Strengths of using this method:
A strength of sketches are you can see what your designs are going to
look like and can be altered because if they don’t look right then you
can change them.
Weaknesses of using this method:
You may already know what you are doing and you don’t plan it out
first and then after you realise it didn’t look right.
Did you like using this method? Why?
Even thought I hate to draw, this is a good way of getting your designs
down.
