3. Research
• In my research PowerPoint I began by analysing existing products which
were similar to mine this strength really helped with my understanding
and how I am going to achieve these outcomes. I explored 3 different
products and one in 1900 this means I have a better idea of the different
looks. Once this was done I completed a survey on surveymonkey.com this
was a strength towards research because I was able to get the audiences
opinions towards my outcome so I can make theses appeal to the
audience, an example question I used ‘what would attract you to a
makeup brand logo?’ this made me able to feature an image behind the
logo therefore it will attract my audience even more. However my
interview was a weakness because I felt Asif it made it a lot harder as only
two people were answering so I didn’t have a different responses I only
had two which were very similar. Then lastly I looked at the audience
profile this was also very helpful because I explored my age
range,gender,physchographics and social status I developed this so by the
end I had a strong idea towards my audience overall.

4. Planning
• For my initial plans PowerPoint I firstly completed mind maps, I like using
this way because I can plan out all my ideas and I began with one idea
which I can develop on and at the end I have loads of different ideas. I then
made mood boards and collected my ideas together this is my weakness
although I get ideas from the images I feel like I'm not able to understand as
much how I will be able to achieve this, or create these products without
the background information. The informal proposal also is a strength
because I was able to write and plan what my final products actually are
and this made me also know which products I will be making.
• My pre-production I liked to complete because I completed the style sheets
this was my final bits of planning, however a weakness was contingency
planning this is because I struggled to think of as many ideas and this was
very time consuming. Overall I would have focused on my planning in more
detail to improve next time as this would have more of an effect on how my
final products turned out.

5. Time Management
• In my project I managed my time effectively and spend the correct time on
each of my PowerPoints and I successfully completed all my final products
and PowerPoints on time although I feel that I gave myself too many tasks
at once to complete which caused me to rush for some of the unfinished
work. For example I would of liked to spend more time on my outcomes
on Photoshop and developed them more, I would of also improved
making another project as I only got to producing two outcomes because
my timing. If I would have had more time I would go back through
everything and improve by developing in much more detail with especially
photos I had taken and would take more.

6. Technical QualitiesFinal piece
Existing products
In my final piece the similarities are that they both
have ‘up to % off’ this was used to promote the
makeup by using a discount because my audience
prefer less expensive products as it was shown in my
survey results therefore this attracts my audience to
the product. Another similarity is they both involve
a range of makeup products and these are both
similar products for example a foundation however
there is a few differences in my final piece I placed
my text over the image whereas in the existing
product the text is above the makeup this is a
weakness to my work because this made my own
text a lot harder to read and less visible and I
preferred the layout on the existing product.
Another difference is in my final piece I didn’t edit
my background image on photoshop however the
existing one looks edited a lot this also a weakness
because the lighting on my final piece is very low
and dark which make this look quite dull.

7. Technical qualities
This is my other final product which is a magazine front cover the
similarities between both my final and existing product is they both
involved the mascara product which I featured my makeup brand on
the front of it this is a strength because I am able to promote my
makeup I also was able to use Photoshop to put my text over my
background image which allowed this to look a lot more professional.
However the difference between both of these is for next time I would
edit the background of my final product and feature the black lines
which is on the existing product using Photoshop.
I was able to download fonts which suited
my magazine and where clear using
dafont.com, this made it easier to match
my colours of the fonts which was a
strength to using Photoshop.
In my final product I didn't edit the lighting or anything for my
background but it seemed to turn out a tanned glow colour
which I ended up liking whereas the existing product seems to
look Asif the models face has ben edited and her skin as well.

8. Aesthetic Qualities
I think both of my final products turned out the way I
waned them to and are very creative, I have stuck by
all my planning and produced products very similar to
my experiments and layout. Although if I was to
change aspects and improve I would spend more time
on the colour scheme of my fonts and my choice of
fonts because I felt like I did rush this part most due to
my timing. I do think my favourite outcome was my
magazine front cover because I focused on this one a
lot more and added my detail of slogans and better
quality images, I also wish I had time for my final
product 3 which I was completing a portfolio for my
makeup brand this was a weakness.
Overall, I am happy with my final products and I do
really like them and I did put all effort into these on
Photoshop although my weakness is photoshop
because I don like using I and struggle quite a lot,
therefore this was a challenge for me.

9. Audience Appeal
My overall audience is shown through my survey results using survemonkey.com from
this you can see mostly under 18sso my target will be 16-18.my audience and this is
mainly females which I believe my products are suited and aimed at this audience I
also used a female model who is interested in makeup therefore this is stereotypically
targeted to women. However not everyone will be interested in my makeup brand as
no everyone likes or uses makeup.my audience profile is also based towards achievers
and balanced this is because women who are building to success, this benefits
mankind therefore you are able to express yourself whilst wearing makeup.

• What did you like about the product?
– I liked the background image for your poster.
– The information is well detailed to a perfection
– The fonts are very good because it links nicely with your
product.
• What improvements could have been made to the
product?
I think the background is too dark and has too much going on
and the colour of the wording should be a different colour as
pink isn’t very clear.

– I like the way the colour of the title has been matched
with the colour of the nails on the model, I also like
the way Jess put a range of words and things you
would find on a normal magazine to make it more
realistic.

– I would suggest to add more information because it is
a little minimalistic.

• What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
– I do agree with my background to my poster out come 1
that it was very dark and is very hard to see the fonts, I
also agree with my images and borders having good effects
to the outcomes.
• What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
• Although, I do disagree with adding more information
as on my magazine front cover I did add quite a lot to it
and spent most of my time on this.

15. Peer Feedback Summary
Overall, the changes I would make due to my
feedback are the background to my poster I would
edit this on Photoshop the different lightings. I
would also use fonts which are much bolder to see
more clearly over my image the colour scheme of
the fonts on this poster are also too bright and don’t
really fit the poster that well.
