This document contains information from a traffic study conducted on a road connecting various departments at a university. The study found that:
1) The 85th percentile speed on the road was higher than the posted speed limit of 25 kmph, especially in the straight section in front of the Biotechnology department.
2) Bicycles made up the majority of vehicles on the road, with generally low traffic during the day.
3) Speed breakers were not fully effective in reducing speeds to the limit, and adding another breaker in front of the Biotechnology department was recommended.
Capacity & Level of Service: Highways & Signalized Intersections (Indo-HCM)Vijai Krishnan V
This presentation gives a glimpse on estimating the capacity and Level of Service (LOS) of highway midblock sections and signalized intersections under heterogeneous traffic conditions using the Indo-HCM 2017 Manual. It also compares the Indo-HCM LOS estimation methods with US-HCM. Some practice questions are also included.
I acknowledge the co-author Ms. Sethulakshmi G (Ph. D. Scholar, NIT Surathkal) for her valuable contribution to this presentation.

BASED ON BTECH CIVIL ENGINEERING SYLLABUS,PRESENTATION OF TRAFFIC VOLUME STUDIES,OBJECTS OF TRAFFIC VOLUME STUDIES
TRAFFIC VOLUME STUDIES IS ONE OF THE TRAFFIC ENGG. STUDIES
Our project is the complete study about both Spot speed studies and Speed delay time survey. This topic is a part of Transportation Engineering. This report helps you to understand this topic in detail. This report will also help you to make project on associated topics in traffic engineering. In spot speed, We discussed regarding various methods available to perform the test, Our team practically performed test and established a speed limit zone near a school. Coming to speed delay time survey, we conducted a survey at a selected stretch and came out with solutions to the problems faced by the vehicle users using that stretch.

Please remind this is not a unique effort..My Classmates and specially Ahasanullah Un iversity Students were a major help...We have tried DATA ANALYSIS part to be a solo doing ..But other parts are nearly copy past from net especially from AUST ian...Hope you can do the whole on your own.....
Traffic Analysis of The Culver Road and East Main Street IntersectionNicholas Yager
Road traffic is a multi-billion dollar drain on the US economy. Using machine learning, trend analysis, and Bayesian statistics, we explored patterns and causes of traffic at the intersection of Culver Road and East Main Street in Rochester, NY. This analysis was presented at the 2015 UP-Stat competition in Geneseo, NY.
hi guys this is another one of my presentation on volume study of mixed traffic data on dual lane roads , with a example to explain the procedure a bit more better ...hope u enjoy it and please suggest other presentation that you would like to see me post if u like my presentations thank you

0x01 - Newton's Third Law: Static vs. Dynamic AbusersOWASP Beja
f you offer a service on the web, odds are that someone will abuse it. Be it an API, a SaaS, a PaaS, or even a static website, someone somewhere will try to figure out a way to use it to their own needs. In this talk we'll compare measures that are effective against static attackers and how to battle a dynamic attacker who adapts to your counter-measures.

Diogo Sousa, Engineering Manager @ Canonical
An opinionated individual with an interest in cryptography and its intersection with secure software development.
This presentation, created by Syed Faiz ul Hassan, explores the profound influence of media on public perception and behavior. It delves into the evolution of media from oral traditions to modern digital and social media platforms. Key topics include the role of media in information propagation, socialization, crisis awareness, globalization, and education. The presentation also examines media influence through agenda setting, propaganda, and manipulative techniques used by advertisers and marketers. Furthermore, it highlights the impact of surveillance enabled by media technologies on personal behavior and preferences. Through this comprehensive overview, the presentation aims to shed light on how media shapes collective consciousness and public opinion.

2. It is instantaneous speed of vehicle
• Spot speed data is the collection of
speed of all vehicle passing through
that particular location.
3. • Planning traffic control and regulation
• Geometric design
• Accident studies
• Traffic capacity
• Speed trends
4. • Working principle: Doppler’s effect
• The apparatus transmit high frequency
electromagnetic waves toward the
operating vehicle, reflected waves changes
their frequency depending upon the speed
of vehicle and returns back to radar gun by
reading this radar gun gives the speed of
that vehicle.
6. Median speed 50th-percentile speed
Modal speed The speed value that occurs most frequently in a
sample of speeds
ith-percentile speed The spot speed below which i percent of the vehicles
travel, e.g. 85th-percentile speed
Pace The range of speed that has the greatest number of
observations; usually 10-mph range
8. • GATE NO 5 TO NEHRU MUSIUM
• Single lane road with both side footpath
• Connecting to AR, BT, CE, ME, CH, VGSOM, IS
&Nehru museum
• Main traffic is bicycle , bikes including some pc
9. • Speed breaker: 3
• No parking symbol:2
• No overtaking symbol:3
• No horn symbol : 1
• Speed limit: 6(25 kmph)
• Pedestrian: 3
10. • We draw the cumulative frequency vs
speed curve for the calculation of 85th
percentile speed.
11. Mean speed: 28.9 kmph
Standard deviation: 5.3 kmph
Confidence interval: 27.9-29.8 km
Median: 28.67 kmph
85th percentile: 34 kmph
12. Mean speed: 26.7 kmph
Standard deviation: 4.4 kmph
Confidence interval: 25.4-
27.9kmph
Median: 28 kmph
85th percentile:30 kmph
13. Mean speed:30.6 kmph
Standard deviation:6.7 kmph
Confidence interval: 29.0-32.1
kmph
Median: 29.16 kmph
85th percentile:37 kmph
14. Mean speed:24 kmph
Standard deviation:4.5 kmph
Confidence interval:21.3-29.6
kmph
Median:24 kmph
85th percentile: 29 kmph
15. Mean speed:23.5 kmph
Standard deviation:3.4 kmph
Confidence interval:22.1-24.8
kmph
Median: 22.6 kmph
85th percentile: 28 kmph
19. • As It can be observed from the plots, 85th
percentile speed is greater than speed limit of 25
kmph.
• The straight unobstructed road in front of
Biotechnology Department sees very high 85th
percentile speed (especially in Civil to AR
direction).
• Traffic is generally low during the daytime.
• Major vehicles plying this road are bicycles.
20. • Many of the vehicles do not follow the
speed limit.
• Since bicycles are the majority and also
slow, increasing speed limit is not safe.
• Speed breaker in front of civil department
is not effective enough in reducing the
speed to the speed limit in Civil to AR
direction.
21. • We can change the geometric design of speed
breakers for reducing the speed to the speed
limit.
• We can add one more speed breaker in front of
Biotechnology department entry gate.
• Concave mirror can be used in the turns to see
the incoming vehicles during the turning on the
slopes.
