The document discusses different types and causes of anemia. It classifies anemia into etiologic categories including impaired red blood cell production, excessive destruction of RBCs, and blood loss. It further describes morphologic classifications such as macrocytic, microcytic hypochromic, and normocytic normochromic anemia. Specific causes are provided for each category including deficiencies, diseases, and genetic disorders. Hemolytic anemia is discussed in more detail including hereditary and acquired causes. Laboratory findings associated with different types of anemia are also summarized.
Aplastic anemia is one of the stem cell disorder which leads to pancytopenia in the peripheral blood and decrease production of all cell line in bone marrow. it require bone marrow transplantation to cure the patient.
Megaloblastic anaemia is a red blood cell disorder due to the inhibition of DNA synthesis during erythropioesis.
Mitotically, the inhibition of the DNA synthesis impaires the progression of the cell cycle development from G2 to (M) stage.

Anemia is a condition that develops when your blood lacks enough healthy red blood cells or hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is a main part of red blood cells and binds oxygen. If you have too few or abnormal red blood cells, or your hemoglobin is abnormal or low, the cells in your body will not get enough oxygen.
Megaloblastic anaemia is a type of anaemia characterized by the formation of unusually large, abnormal and immature red blood cells called as megaloblasts by the bone marrow, which are released into the blood. To know more visit here: www.lazoi.com

Metabolism of potassium and its clinical significancerohini sane
A comprehensive presentation on Metabolism of Potassium and its clinical significance for MBBS, BDS, B Pharm & Biotechnology students to facilitate self- study.
Hello everyone!!
This is a presentation regarding Hemolytic anaemia. I hope you get enough information according to your needs from the same. This will be helpful for students or people in the field of medical. Students can take this as reference for their mini projects or presentations.
I hope this will be beneficial for many people.
Thank You!
Haemolysis indicates that there is shortening of the normal red cell lifespan of 120 days. There are many causes.
To compensate, the bone marrow may increase its output of red cells six- to eightfold by increasing the proportion of red cells produced, expanding the volume of active marrow, and releasing reticulocytes prematurely. Anaemia occurs only if the rate of destruction exceeds this increased production rate.
Localization of brainstem lesion by Prof Dr Bashir Ahmed Dar Sopore KashmirProf Dr Bashir Ahmed Dar
Localizing neurological lesions in the brainstem can be very precise, it relies on a clear understanding on the functions of brainstem .Brainstem lesions usually produce cranial nerve palsy one one side and hemiplegia or hemiparesis on other side
The main aim of this slide presentation is to localize abnormal neurological findings to their main site of origin within the nervous system. After reading the presentation the doctor should be able to localise neurological disorders to their main site of origin.if you fail to identify the clinical signs correctly, then you will be unable to identify where the problem is.Read my slide presentation on localization of brainstem lesion which i will upload very soon
Taking the patient's history is traditionally the first step in virtually every clinical encounter. A thorough neurologic history allows the clinician to define the patient's problem and, along with the result of physical examination, assists in formulating an etiologic and/or pathologic diagnosis

Facial nerve disorders can be caused by infection, injury or other conditions.Facial nerve disorders can cause weakness on one or both sides of the face. Those affected may experience loss of facial expression and also difficulties with eating, drinking and clarity of speech. Closing of the eye and blinking can also become difficult.

OBESITY AND WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY, HOW MUCH BENEFICIAL AND SAFE?BY DR MANZOOR A...Prof Dr Bashir Ahmed Dar
Obesity is recognized as a global health crisis. Weight loss surgery offers a treatment that can reduce weight, induce remission of obesity-related diseases, and improve the quality of life. This review summarizes recent evidence related to the safety, efficacy, and metabolic outcomes of weight loss surgery for morbid obesity. The article also highlights various issues when lifestyle modifications and weight loss medications have failed to provide significant weight loss in the majority of obese people.

A research article Fountain of Youth by Prof Dr Bashir Ahmed Dar Sopore KashmirProf Dr Bashir Ahmed Dar
Calorie restriction (CR) is as close to a real fountain of youth as any known technique is. Caloric restriction known to extend the human lifespan by up to five years has quietly become accepted among leading researchers. Even scientists who are cautious about anti-aging hype say it works

RESULTS: Overall life span (LS) was 2252.1±1742.5 days and cumulative 5-year survival (5YS) reached 73.2%, 10 years – 64.8%, 20 years – 42.5%. 513 LCP lived more than 5 years (LS=3124.6±1525.6 days), 148 LCP – more than 10 years (LS=5054.4±1504.1 days).199 LCP died because of LC (LS=562.7±374.5 days). 5YS of LCP after bi/lobectomies was significantly superior in comparison with LCP after pneumonectomies (78.1% vs.63.7%, P=0.00001 by log-rank test). AT significantly improved 5YS (66.3% vs. 34.8%) (P=0.00000 by log-rank test) only for LCP with N1-2. Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: phase transition (PT) early-invasive LC in terms of synergetics, PT N0—N12, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells- CC and blood cells subpopulations), G1-3, histology, glucose, AT, blood cell circuit, prothrombin index, heparin tolerance, recalcification time (P=0.000-0.038). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and PT early-invasive LC (rank=1), PT N0—N12 (rank=2), thrombocytes/CC (3), erythrocytes/CC (4), eosinophils/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), segmented neutrophils/CC (8), stick neutrophils/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10); leucocytes/CC (11). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (area under ROC curve=1.0; error=0.0).
CONCLUSIONS: 5YS of LCP after radical procedures significantly depended on: 1) PT early-invasive cancer; 2) PT N0--N12; 3) cell ratio factors; 4) blood cell circuit; 5) biochemical factors; 6) hemostasis system; 7) AT; 8) LC characteristics; 9) LC cell dynamics; 10) surgery type: lobectomy/pneumonectomy; 11) anthropometric data. Optimal diagnosis and treatment strategies for LC are: 1) screening and early detection of LC; 2) availability of experienced thoracic surgeons because of complexity of radical procedures; 3) aggressive en block surgery and adequate lymph node dissection for completeness; 4) precise prediction; 5) adjuvant chemoimmunoradiotherapy for LCP with unfavorable prognosis.
The prostate is an exocrine gland of the male mammalian reproductive system
It is a walnut-sized gland that forms part of the male reproductive system and is located in front of the rectum and just below the urinary bladder
Function is to store and secrete a clear, slightly alkaline fluid that constitutes 10-30% of the volume of the seminal fluid that along with the spermatozoa, constitutes semen
A healthy human prostate measures (4cm-vertical, by 3cm-horizontal, 2cm ant-post ).
It surrounds the urethra just below the urinary bladder. It has anterior, median, posterior and two lateral lobes
It’s work is regulated by androgens which are responsible for male sex characteristics
Generalised disease of the prostate due to hormonal derangement which leads to non malignant enlargement of the gland (increase in the number of epithelial cells and stromal tissue)to cause compression of the urethra leading to symptoms (LUTS
