strengths and weaknesses of each method
– Product Research
Strengths: can see what methods have been successful and use that to my advantage. Also see
how posters vary and are effective for the audience member.
Weakness: want to not copy but yet have some aspects. Some have not been successful even
looking at the posters that gave false thoughts.
– Questionnaires
Strengths: have opinions from people for persific questions. As well as, having questions
answered fast and easy to get information from.
Weaknesses: people could speed run it giving bad results. People can lie easily as well.
– Interviews
Strengths: get an individual opinion from people that have an interest in horror movies. As
well as have a clear understanding of what people like and dislike about horror. more personal.
Weaknesses: some people don’t respond as intended. Have to try get more out of what the person is
trying to say.
26. Research Evaluation
– What sort of a response did you get?
Good responses that have helped me make up my clip as well as helping me build
themes and story round it. This makes my project suit more audiences and have
a better review of the final product.
– How did you distribute your survey? Give an advantage and a disadvantage
I distributed it by posting on Facebook and putting peoples data in manually, this
meant I got honest responses from the manual input but then with Facebook people
where a lot of the time dishonest and so I had to not use their input into the ideas for
the clip.
