The magazine proposal is for a film magazine called "Movie Times" aimed at an audience aged 15-45. The purpose is to both entertain and educate readers about upcoming and past films through images, behind-the-scenes photos, word searches, interviews, reviews and film analysis. Content will include information on indie and mainstream films from 2020 as well as TV shows related to movies. To avoid legal issues, any offensive images will be excluded and copyrighted content will be sufficiently altered so as not to infringe on intellectual property rights.

Product’s Purpose:
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
The purpose of the magazine is to entertain, but also to educate. I will achieve this by includeing
images of behind the scenes and word searches. The word search will be both entertaining and
educating by having words to do with upcoming movies or/and old movies because it will tell the
audience what actors are in which movies are coming out and the ones that are all already out.
There will also be Images of behind the scenes of the movie to inform what goes on behind the
camera. This can be entertaining and educate if you are interested in movies and movie making.

The product I will be making will be about upcoming films of 2020. I will have images of different
films and behind the scenes photos with description on what is in the image/photo. I will also have
information about the upcoming movies, and it will also include TV shows that relate to the movies.
I will include an unseen archive images and collector’s edition in my magazine. I will include
interviews with the directors and the cast as well as reviews of films and film analysis.
Audience:

Why would your project appeal to this person?
My audience is the middle upper-class aged between 15-24 which will also be males. It will also be
for females as well because it will include films that will interest females with movies like Captain
Marvel and the Female Ghostbusters. It will also be for 25-45-year olds because there will be films
that will be for adults in the magazine. It will appeal to the adults because of remakes and
sequels. To attract that older audience, I will add discounts for movies like buy one, get free
discounts because that age range do not get discounts for much. People who may have
subscriptions to different streaming sites such Netflix, Sky Movies etc and have access to the
internet and their own devices. Also have a strong passion for film and could be Film or Media
students.

Will your product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright

I will not use images/photos that may offend people. I will also not include any offending material
that will offend any social group/religions/ethnicities because it is not in my intention to offend any
group. If I include any image that I think will be offensive I will edit any images or any products that
I get off the internet so that I don’t get any copyright issues or may offend certain groups. There
will be some assets like the background that I will be able to make my own so that will not be a
copyright issue.
