1. Production Experiments

2. Process
I used an image off the internet and pasted in to
Photoshop then I grabbed a barcode of the google and
sized it down to the right size that I thought it would fit
well with the image size and placed it where I thought it
wont distract the view from the main focus. I then used
the text tool to make the text and used layer style to edit
the text to have a white outline to the text and make it
have a form of depth and definition on it.

3. Process
I used the lasso tool to cut around the fish
then moved that layer in front of the text
layer to make the effect of it being in front
of the text.

4. Process
I used the text tool again to make more
text but this time I changed the text
font and the colour, and I also made all
the text closer together to make it look
like its all together.

5. Process
I used the shape tool to make the brackets around the text
but I erased a bit of it to make it look well. I did it this way
because I thought it would be easer for my self, I could of
don’t it different ways so that the bit I erased was even on
each side. Then I moved the text to fit well on the page and
located it well so it would look well on the page.
I made the master header text closer together because I
thought It was to far apart, and it also makes it look like its
all apart of the same word.

6. • I have used the move tool
to rearrange the text on
the cover so that it is in a
suitable location. By this I
mean that the text isn’t
obstructing anything and it
will catch the attention of
audience because it is in
the middle of the cover. By
doing this it will attract the
audience and they will
want to buy it.

7. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you include in your final product?
– One of the elements of the experiments. I will use will be the lasso tool to
make the object in the image become in front of the masthead to give the
object a 3D effect to it.
– Another element is that I will use the gradeant effects that I used on the
masthead and use it on my final piece because I think it will make the
masthead appeal to my audience.
– I will use the element of using different coloured text on the cover to attract
my audience.
– I will think about using the same layout of text and font sizes e.g. the
masthead is centered and in capital letters.
– The use of a slogan or catchphrase that engages the audience and entices
them to buy the magazine It is aligned to the left or right. I will use a similar
format of slogans or catchphrases for my final product.
– The plugs are at the bottom in alternate colours which I will include in the final
piece.
– Overall colour scheme only uses 4 key colours white, orange, blue and black. I
will use a specific colour scheme and limit how many colours I will use.
