This document provides instructions on using the programs and functions of a total station for remote elevation measurement, missing line measurement, area calculation, and data collection. It describes procedures for using the total station to remotely measure elevations when direct prism placement is not possible. It also outlines the two modes for missing line measurement to obtain distance, slope distance, elevation, and horizontal angle between two target prisms. The document details procedures for calculating areas of closed figures using coordinate data or direct measurement. It provides guidance on field work including data collection in distance, angle, and coordinate modes as well as instructions for instrument and operation maintenance.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.
Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
Builder.ai Founder Sachin Dev Duggal's Strategic Approach to Create an Innova...Ramesh Iyer
In today's fast-changing business world, Companies that adapt and embrace new ideas often need help to keep up with the competition. However, fostering a culture of innovation takes much work. 4. Remote Elevation Measurement
To obtain elevation
K
to the point at which
setting the target
Prism is not
possible, the REM
Program is useful.
Place the prism at any point on the ground in the same vertical plane of the target

8. MISSING LINE MEASUREMENT (MLM)
To obtain the measurement
for horizontal distance
(dHD), slope distance
(dSD), elevation (dVD) and
horizontal angle (HR)
between two target
prisms, the MLM
programme is useful.
The MLM mode has two modes
MLM-1 (A-B, A-C): Measurement is A-B, A-C, A-D, ………..
MLM-2 (A-B, B-C): Measurement is A-B, B-C, C-D, ………..

Programme is useful.
There are two
methods to calculate
the area of the figure.
Area calculation from
coordinate data file.
Area calculation from
measured data

27. INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE :
The following are the instructions to be followed for better results.
Instructions for Instrument Maintenance :
Always bring foot screws to the center of its run before
levelling it up.
Always see that both the locks are released before turning the
instrument.
Make sure that the clamps of the tripod are fixed firmly.
Hold the handle of the instrument before fixing and at the time
when it is to be removed for further shiftngs.
10 February 2014
27
28. •Batteries should be discharged for every ten charging
completely, so that the life of the batteries will be increased.
•Always cleans the lens with cloth after the days work is finished.
•Make sure that the legs of tripod (bottom shoe) should be
cleaned daily.
•Close the foot screws completely after the instrument is to be
changed its position.
•Fix the instrument as per its position specified in the box and
close the box.

29. Instructions for Operations Maintenance :
When ever we are working in Distance mode ( ) or Co-ordinate mode ( )
to come out press (Ang) button key (Esc-Escape key will not work).
•Make sure that the measured filed is downloaded first to out PC and they
only it is to be deleted.
•Always select the occ-point / BS point from the list only and then press
enter.
•When ever Reflector Height is changed during side shot measurement
make sure that the changed height is edited properly before measuring.
•Orientation is must after every shifting.
•To make internal display unit on, press * (star) button and then press F1.
•If it is required to change prism constant from ‘0’ to ‘-30’, press * (star)
button and then press PSM/PPM and then change the prism constant by
pressing ‘EDIT’ .
