• Curriculum is not a course, is not a syllabus.
• Its the subjects comprising a course of study in
a school or college.
• Curriculum refers to the means and materials
with which students will interact for the
purpose of achieving identified educational
outcomes.

It focused on the transmitting of knowledge to the learner.
The teacher makes the students memorize knowledge.
It focused on the cognitive domain.
 Modern definition:
It is all the learning experiences presented to the learners or
they can find it themselves whether inside or outside for the
purpose of developing the three domains:
1-cognitive

or diagraming a curriculum to identify and
address academic gaps, redundancies, and
misalignments for purposes of improving
the overall coherence of a course of study
and, by extension, its effectiveness (a
curriculum, in the sense that the term is

in a school or course, including the
instructional materials and techniques they

The definition of curriculum

  • 2. 1-What is the definition of curriculum ?? • Curriculum is not a course, is not a syllabus. • Its the subjects comprising a course of study in a school or college. • Curriculum refers to the means and materials with which students will interact for the purpose of achieving identified educational outcomes.   • 5.  Past / traditional definition: It focused on the transmitting of knowledge to the learner. The teacher makes the students memorize knowledge.
