MEN’S
Jaime Waltmire, Western New Mexico, SR, Tucson, AZ, Canyon del Oro
Waltmire did all he could in trying to help the Mustangs at the Visit Stockton Cactus Thaw as he ed for 46th
a er rounds of 72 and 73 for a 145. He led the team in par-five scoring (4.60) and ed with teammate Gonzalo
Pan De Soraluce for most birdies with seven. WNMU finished 15th out of 22 teams.
WOMEN’S
Ueakarn “Loukyee” Songprasert, West Texas A&M University, R-FR, Bangkok, Thailand, Strisrinan School
Songprasert finished second in her first collegiate meet at the St. Mary’s Lady Ra ler Invita onal with a 1-under
71. The tournament was shortened due to inclement weather. Songprasert paced the Lady Buffs to a fi h-
place finish as a team with wins over five ranked teams. Individually, she defeated 13 ranked players, including
No. 23 Ana Sofia Benavides of St. Edward’s.
OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Brenda Dominguez, Western New Mexico, carried her strong first semester of collegiate golf right into the
spring as she led the Lady Mustangs with an 80 to e for 42nd at the Lady Ra ler Invita onal. She also ed for
the team lead in par-four scoring with Shelby Turner at 4.40 and also ed with Turner in pars with 11.
Lydia Traylor, Tarleton State University, led the TexAnns at the Lady Ra ler Invita onal with a 3-over-par
75 and ed for 10th place. Traylor carded three birdies on the front nine and nine pars in the one-round
tournament that was shortened due to weather. The TexAnns finished fourth overall with a 305 (+17).
Reanna De La Cruz, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, competed in her first collegiate tournament last week
and shined, placing third at the Jack Brown Memorial Invita onal in Laredo... the Javelinas finished second,
the highest finish in school history... De La Cruz shot a 77 in round one and followed with a 78 on Tuesday, the
second lowest round in the tourney... De La Cruz joined the Javelinas last season but did not compete.

The TexAnns finished in fourth place with a 305 (+17),
at the Lady Ra ler Invita onal that was limited to one
round due to weather. Lydia Traylor led the TexAnns
with a 3-over-par 75 and ed for 10th place. Traylor
carded three birdies on the front nine and nine pars.
Casey Wild came in 12th place on the individual
leaderboard with a 76 ( 4). Wild also recorded three
birdies and eight pars and leads all players in Par 3
scoring at -2. Beatriz Prados ed for 18th with a first
round score of 77 ( 5). Prados shot even par on the
front nine with two birdies and had 10 pars in the
round. Sarah Gee ed with Prados for 18th place. Gee
registered a pair of birdies and finished even par on
the back nine. Kerbey Kipp played as an individual
in the tournament ed with Prados and Gee in 18th
place at 77 ( 5). Kipp was 1-under par on the front
nine, with her birdie coming on a par-4 on hole No. 3
followed by six straight pars. Casey Leatherman shot
a 79 ( 7) with a birdie and nine pars. The TexAnns will
compete in the St. Edward’s Invita onal on Feb. 20-21
in Aus n.”
