MEN’S
Wilfredo Sanchez, Texas A&M University-Commerce, SR, The Woodlands, Texas, Colegio Nuestra Seora de Chiquinquir
Sanchez led the Lions to their third title of the season at the UAFS Hardscrabble Invitational. His score of 209 (-1) tied
him for second place on the leaderboard with teammate Lucas McCubbin. Sanchez shot a 67 (-3) in the opening round of
the event and carded 11 birdies over 54 holes. He shot 1-over par 71 in each of the last two rounds. This is Sanchez' third
top five finish of the season and fifth top 10.
CO-WOMEN’S
Sarah Gee, Tarleton State University, SR, Warminster, England, Kingdown School
Gee led Tarleton with a sixth-place finish at the Mustang Intercollegiate where the TexAnns finished third as a team. Gee
shot 1-under par for a total score of 143. Gee had rounds of 70 and 73. In the second round, Gee recorded an eagle on
No. 11, a 425-yard par 5. Overall, Gee recorded 22 pars and led the team with six birdies to go with the eagle.
Loukyee Songprasert, West Texas A&M University, SO, Chiang Mai, Thailand, Strisrinan School
Songprasert tied for sixth at the Mustang Intercollegiate this week at Palm Valley Golf Club. She fired rounds of 72 and
71 for a 1-under 143 helping lead the No. 14 Lady Buffs to a fourth-place finish in the tournament. Songprasert led the
Lady Buffs with 27 pars and had five birdies for the 36-hole tournament. She defeated 12 golfers ranked in the top 100
of Golfstat, including No. 18 Carolin Chang of Cal State East Bay as Songprasert is 42nd in the latest rankings.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Brenda Dominguez, Western New Mexico, led the Lady Mustangs during the Mustang Intercollegiate (par 72, 5,900
yard) when she placed in a tie for 33rd with rounds of 75 and 74 for a 149. She tallied a pair of birdies during the final
round on holes eight and 11 and was near the top of the field in par-five scoring (4.75) and led the team in pars with 24
and in birdies with four. WNMU as a team placed 16th out of 20 teams with a 624 (314-310).
Mathilde Revilliod, Angelo State University, helped ASU to its best finish of the spring with a third place showing at
the Hardscrabble Invite. She picked up her second top 10 finish of the season placing sixth. The junior shot a final round
76 to score 231 for the tournament. She carded two birdies and 11 pars on the final round. For the tournament,
Revilliod totaled 33 pars and three birdies.

The A&M-Commerce men's golf team earned its third win of the season, holding off host school Arkansas-Fort Smith for
the title in the Hardscrabble Invitational on Tuesday.
The Lions shot a three-round total of 846 (275-285-286, +6) on the par 70 course, beating UAFS by three strokes. The
third place school was 25 strokes back of the A&M-Commerce Lions.
A&M-Commerce won the WNMU Fall Intercollegiate and The Classic at Firewheel earlier in the season, and claimed top
five finishes in eight of their nine regular season events.

The No. 14 West Texas A&M women's golf team finished fourth at the Mustang Intercollegiate at Palm Valley Golf Club
this week...The Lady Buffs fired rounds of 290 and 293 for a +7 583 score for the 36-hole event...No. 3 Dallas Baptist
cruised to the title going 12-under 564, while No. 16 California Baptist was second at 6-under 570 and No. 12 Tarleton
State was third at +1 577...WT sophomores Loukyee Songprasert and Jelina Fernando tied for sixth to pace the Lady
Buffs at 1-under 143, while senior Mattye Mason tied for 11th with an even par 144 on a pair of 72s...The Lady Buffs
currently are 16th nationally and fourth in the region in Golfstat heading into the conference tournament Apr. 23-24 at
Diamondback Golf Club in Abilene.
