Tate McVay of West Texas A&M University led his team to a third place finish at a tournament, shooting rounds of 69-76-76 for 10th place individually. Emily Taylor of Texas A&M University-Commerce earned runner-up honors at a tournament to help lead her team to their first ever tournament victory, shooting rounds of 73-73 which were career lows. The Texas A&M-Commerce women's team set school records for 18 and 36 hole scores in winning their first tournament in program history. West Texas A&M men's team finished third in their tournament, which was their best finish since 2014, led by Tate McVay's 221 score.

McVay paced the Buffs to a third place finish at the Western New Mexico Mustang Fall Intercollegiate with
rounds of 69-76-76 for a 221 score and ed for 10th. The third-place finish was the best team finish for the
Buffs since 2014 and his 69 was the low-round for the team.

Taylor earned runner-up honors to lead the Lions to their first-ever tournament victory at the Oklahoma Bap st
Fall Invita onal. She had rounds of 73-73 for a 146 total to help set A&M-Commerce school history. Both
rounds of 73 were career lows for Taylor.

79) to e for 68th... Grayson Benavides (238) was 80th, Jordan Brown (244) was 92nd and Hagan Wood (249)
was 96th... The Lions will look to rebound next week in Wichita, Kan., playing in the Newman Invita onal on
Monday and Tuesday at Crestview Country Club.

The West Texas A&M men’s golf team finished third at the Western New Mexico Mustang Fall Intercollegiate
at the Golf Club of Estrella this week...It was the best team-finish since fall 2014 at the Territory Classic where
the team finished third...WT fired a 2-under 286 in the first round and a 299 for the second round holding a
four-stroke lead heading into the final round of the tournament this week...Junior Tate McVay paced the team
with a 221 score on rounds of 69, 76 and 76 tying for 10th...The 286 was the only round of any of the 20 teams
under par for the tournament.
