Smith and the TexAnns won the UIS Island Getaway in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico with a score of 583 (+15). Smith
had the top finish for Tarleton, coming in second a er shoo ng a 72 in both rounds for a final score of 144 (+2).
Smith recorded a team-high 26 pars and also added a four birdies. It’s the highest individual finish of Smith’s
career.

TexAnn Golf shot a 583 (+15) to win the Illinois-Springfield Island Getaway in Puerto Rico on Tuesday. Tarleton
shot a 288 and 295 to win the tournament by six strokes over St. Leo. The TexAnns had all five golfers finish in
the top 10 on the individual leaderboard. It’s the second tournament win of the fall season for Tarleton, who
has finished in the top three in all four tournaments. Breanna Smith had the top finish for Tarleton, coming in
second place a er shoo ng a 72 in both rounds for a final score of 144 (+2). Smith recorded a team-high 26 pars
and also added a four birdies. It’s the highest finish of Smith’s career. Casey Wild came away in a e third place
with rounds of 72 and 73 for a final scorecard of 145 (+3). Wild sank 23 pars and ed for the team lead with five
birdies in the tournament. Wild has finished in the top 20 in all four tournaments and it’s the junior’s third top
10 finish of the year. Kerbey Kipp finished with a 148 (+6) to place sixth. Kipp logged 23 pars and also added
four birdies. It’s Kipp’s first top 10 finish of the season. Sarah Gee moved up four spots on the leaderboard to
finish in ninth a er shoo ng a 73 on the final day. Gee had a final score of 150 (+8) while pos ng 20 pars and
five birdies. Lydia Traylor shot a 151 (+9) to place 10th. It’s Traylor’s second top 10 finish on the year, who went
on to record 24 pars in the tournament. The TexAnns have wrapped up their fall schedule and will tee off again
in February to begin their spring slate.
