Led by Jimenez-Perea, the Tarleton State TexAnns improved one spot in the standings on the second day of the
Rattler Invitational to claim a second-place finish in their first tournament of the season. The senior finished
with scores of 73-75 for a four-over-par 148 total to claim the second place as an individual. Jimenez-Perea had
a team-best 5 birdies and 22 pars in the tournament.

Alex Massie, West Texas A&M University, had her best tournament as a Lady Buff as the team kicked off
the spring season at the Lady Rattler Invitational this week. Massie finished tied for fifth in the 94-player
tournament with a 153 score on rounds of 74 and 79. She was the lone Lady Buff to shoot both rounds in the
70s. Massie paced the Lady Buffs who finished fourth in the tournament with a 633, 36-hole score on The
Dominion Country Club course.
Liz Chavarria, Angelo State University, earned her first top 10 finish of the spring season and second of the
year tying for eighth place the Lady Rattler Invite. The senior shot 78 in round one and 77 in round two for a
two-day score of 155. She helped the Rambelles to a ninth place finish as a team.

Led by senior Isabel Jimenez-Perea, the Tarleton TexAnns improved one spot in the standings on the second day
of the Rattler Invitational to claim a second place finish in their first tournament of the season. Tarleton started
the day in third place with a round one score of 311 and matched that score on Tuesday afternoon. The 311
total score from Tuesday was the third-best score of the afternoon, behind St. Mary’s (308) and Cal State-Chico
(307). Tarleton also finished 11 strokes ahead of its closest Lone Star Conference opponent – West Texas A&M
(+57) – for the weekend. Isabel Jimenez-Perea finished her second round with a score of 75 (+3) to claim the
second place individual title for the tournament. Tarleton will return to action on March 6 when the TexAnns
head to Vallejo, California for the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout at Hiddenbrooke Golf Club.

The Lady Buffs, ranked 30th in the latest GolfStat rankings, finished fourth at the Lady Rattler Invitational this
week as freshman Alex Massie tied for fifth with a 153 on rounds of 74 and 79...She was the lone Lady Buff
to shoot both rounds in the 70s and it was her best tournament of her young career...The Lady Buffs finished
fourth as a team in the 18-team field and had to play the final round with just four players as freshman Kaylin
Milholland suffered an injury...Knowing the team couldn’t drop a score, they played a solid final round to
remain fourth... WT, who moved up to 29th in the rankings, heads to the St. Edward’s Invitational Feb. 22-23 at
Onion Creek in Austin.
