GOLFERS OF THE WEEK
MEN’S
Ross White, Western New Mexico, SR, Dollar, Scotland, Kinross
White utilized a first round 68 to help lead him to a tie for third as he also added rounds of 73 and 73 for a 214 at the St.
Edward's Invitational. WNMU as a team compiled consistent rounds of 287-293-292 for an 872 to finish in third out of 12
teams at the par 70, 6,530 yard Onion Creek Club, just eight-strokes back of the top spot. White's opening round 68 is
the top round he has put together this year and is tied for the second-best score on the team. He finished just five-shots
off the lead. During the final round, he started the day with a birdie on hole one and added 13 pars. He led the field in
par-three scoring (2.87) and finished high in both par-four scoring (4.20) and par-five scoring (5.00). White was near the
top of the leader board in pars with 37 and also added eight birdies.
WOMEN’S
Sarah Moore, Midwestern State University, SR, Burkburnett, Texas, Burkburnett HS
Moore led Midwestern State to its second team tournament title of the season Monday at CSU-Pueblo's Pack Spring
Invitational. The senior from Burkburnett matched a collegiate best 36-hole total firing 1-over 145 with scores of 72 and
73 to finish fourth. Moore ranked among tournament leaders with eight birdies. Her first round 72 was her second par-
or-better round of the season and fourth of her career. Moore notched her fifth career Top 10 individual finish.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Michael Hodson, West Texas A&M University, continued his strong play this week as he finished tied for fifth at the
St. Edward's Invitational. Hodson fired rounds of 73-72-70 for a 5-over 215 score. He helped lead the Buffs to a fourth-
place finish, including defeating No. 25 Oklahoma Christian by six strokes. Hodson was one of four players on the team
to shoot all three rounds in the 70s, while his 70 on Tuesday was one of three players with rounds of par or better.
Devin Tovey, Cameron University, was one of CU's top finishers as they won the St. Edward's Invitational on
Tuesday. The senior tied for ninth place and carded a six over 216 for the three round tournament. He finished with the
events best Par-4 score (-1), while totaling eight birdies and 34 pars for the 54 holes.
Brenda Dominguez, Western New Mexico, posted a solid 77 after the first round and then added an even better
round of 74 on the final day to vault her to a 151 and into a tie for 13th at the Pack Spring Invite. WNMU as a team had
rounds of 320 and 309 for a 639 to finish in sixth out of 14 teams on the par 72, 6,000 yard Walking Stick Golf Course.
She sunk a pair of birdies during the final round on holes five and 13. She tied with teammate Shelby Turner in par-four
scoring at 4.20 to land in the top-10, while also leading the team in par-five scoring at 4.63. Dominguez added 23 pars to
lead the squad.

The Cameron men's golf team won their first tournament of the year as they finished first at the St. Edward's
Invitational, shooting an 864 through the 54-holes of play. Daniel Nielsen and Devin Tovey matched each other stride for
stride, each carding a 73 in the final round to tie for ninth place individually with a pair of 216s. Dario Gabriel had the
low round of the day for CU on Tuesday, shooting a 71 to finish with a 217, which tied with teammate Will Lovelace for
11th place. Weston Ward shot his best round of the tournament on Tuesday, carding a 72 in the third round and a 226
for the 54-hole event.
Midwestern State
Midwestern State claimed its second team championship of the season and first since winning the Oklahoma
Intercollegiate to close out the fall schedule. It is the fourth time the Mustangs have claimed multiple team titles in a
single season winning three in 2015-16 and 2014-15 and two in 2012-13... MSU notched the fourth lowest 36-hole team
total in program history with an 11-over 587. The 2017-18 squad owns the two best two-round totals with scores of 577
( 1) at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate and a 578 ( 2) at the TexAnn Fall Classic. The 2012-13 team scored a 10-over 586 at
the Oklahoma Intercollegiate... Senior Sarah Moore matched her best 36-hole score as a collegian with a 1-over 145. She
notched the same score while finishing eighth at the DBU Women's Classic on Oct. 10-11, 2016... Sophomore Lexi Read
logged her second Top 10 individual finish of the season tying for fifth with a 2-over total of 146. She placed second at
3. the season opening TexAnn Fall Classic... Freshman Emily Brennan tied for fifth finishing in the Top 10 for the fifth time
in six collegiate tournaments...
