What did you think? What did you feel?
● I liked how the camera lens was
incorporated into the video- it
helped to solidify the point
● we talked about how we felt that
it was frustrating and
uncomfortable to watch
● We said that we felt sad and
frustrated for both of the men in
the videos.
● We talked about the first film how
hard sometimes to get the
parents listen to us
● It spoke to how OCD is not a
matter of willpower and that
someone can't just "get over it"
● We talked a little about how
people use language. People
might describe themselves as
"OCD" jokingly, but that erases
the actual experience.
● I mentioned in our group that it is
often harder for men to reach out.
Social conditioning to blame.
● Statistically speaking.
● who should be blamed for this?
● Not saying that it is easier for
women.

What did you think? What did you feel?
● The music was effective. Eeerie.
● I felt relieved by the way they ended on
a positive note
● I think the sound/music in the
background was anxiety producing
and also reflected kind of the feeling
you get when you are anxious
● And the close ups of the people. Their
facial gestures.
● it was a bit anxiety inducing at first,
especially because of the audio at the
start sounding doubled (maybe an
issue on my end), but the hope of the
people they talked to was nice
● The audio and music really captured
the feeling of anxiety
● it was eye-catching with very different
pictures and scenes
● i feel like you can't ever be anxiety -
free. You can only control it.
● Music was very representative of the
experience of anxiety. Ending was
helpful in giving hope.
● Relatable for many people.
● I think also seeing how each person
experiences anxiety differently and has
different symptoms of anxiety, as well
as how they manage it
● the tempo mimicked anxious thought.
Very effective
● ~listen~
● sharing our experiences to help
ourselves and others feel less alone
37. #Movies4MentalHealth#Movies4MentalHealth
How can we support
ourselves and others?
● listening and confiding in a few supportive
people
● be open to listening to others who need
help
● Acceptance of others
● Self care first. Once you help yourself you
can help others.
● talk to counselor
● move away from negative thoughts. Try
and encourage others to be positive
● I would like to offer this workshop on my
campus!
● listen to understand not to advise
● Really hear what people have to say - don't
be judgmental
● know yourself, have faith in yourself,
express yourself.
● If things start to feel too overwhelming, do
not hesitate to reach out and seek help
● don't give unsolicited advice
● A lot of people help others and then drain
themselves or take on other people's
anxieties. Empaths.
● have more this kind of workshop
● Caretakers are always at risk.
● understanding why people do the things
they do/are feeling how they're feeling and
not judging what they're doing or how
they're feeling
● usually people who give unsolicited advice
are the ones who cant take it .
● More compassion.
