How have you experienced the concept of "mental health" within your own
cultural communities?
● Mental health is not seen as a priority
● hispanic community mental health is dissmised and seemed as a taboo more than a
reality.
● im arab, it doesnt exist in our culture.
● Seen as you being dramatic
● mental health is not really talked about in my culture
● Therapy is only for people who are "crazy." Makes me so sad to hear this from my family.
● heavy stigma, shame/pity for mentally ill, keep it hidden + mental problems = not being
spiritual enough
● Most of the time in the Armenian culture mental health is not given any attention and as
someone said dismissed
● I also come from a cuban background and it was something that was not considered
real for awhile
● being mental illness is embarrassing
● “it’s all in your head”
● Be safe and do not harm yourself or others

● beautiful, thank you for including a film like this
● that was so sad... beautiful but very sad
● Amazing short film but really sad. I literally started
crying.
● I felt very sad. I also felt hopeful when she mentioned
being able to reconnect to her culture towards the
end, in her healing journey
● I really enjoyed it, it shows the unfortunate
consequences of drinking under the influence :(
● Sad, how something like that had to happend for her
to turn her life around.
● Also actually cried a little

that help support
your wellness?

● exercising always makes me feel better
● Mindfulness, meditation, breathwork, yoga ❤️
● Playing the piano
● Waking up earlier

● Riding my bike outside even just a quick ride through the neighborhood
always lifts my mood
● better time management
● i put my phone on do not disturb
● Exercise but is so hard to do it.
● Study and consultation
● listen to music or walk
● I take 1-2 day breaks from social media hehe and get myself into nature or
exercising in some way

● Stepping away from what is stressing me out and just finding something
that makes me happy
