What has self-care been
looking like for you these days?

● What I have been practicing the most is responding and not
reacting. It helps me stay calm and work through my stressors
● Gardening, decorating, video gaming
● Quiet time w God/Exercise/Time w family/group activities
● getting out in nature often,, or just looking out the window at
clouds and sky if cant get out.
● exercise, my dogs and ping pong
● going to the gym, medidtate, affirming skin care
● Planning out healthy, nutritious meals that fuel you and don't
just fill you and reading more
● Giving myself and others Grace. Self care massages, facials,
gym. Designated no phone days.

● It's not prioritized nor acknowledged
● Dysfunction/Disease model

● But a few have actually tried to help. I have learned that education on
the matter makes a huge difference.

What are some practices that
help support your wellness?

● Journaling.
● Mantras, that I am only human and I cannot control my
environment or situations, but I can control my brain and my
body
● Finding an activity to channel my energy into ex. reading,
exercising, watching a fun show/ movie
● When I am feeling uncomfortable in a situation, I tap my feet
inside my shoes...saying I'm okay, I'm okay
● distress tolerant kit - I like to build and update them.
● reading random quotes around my space and affirmations
● Sitting in sunlight - I don't care where it is
● Reaching out to someone, ANYONE, when I want to isolate
● Talk to myself positively
● I cry it out because I am allowed to feel and i have to release
because if I hold back I make myself feel worst
