2. Since October, Staff of Color have gathered on a monthly basis to socialize &
network after-school hours in a variety of venues in our community (The Zed,
King Pins, Von Ebert Brewing). Approximately 15-20 staff have joined on a
regular basis. Participants have appreciated the time and space to decompress
& connect informally, as well as the free appetizers! District funding is
appreciated for this retainment effort.

3. BIPOC Affinity PD December 6th
● Approximately 80 BIPOC educators in
attendance (classified and certified)
● Key Takeaways
○ Malik White honored as original GYO
○ Appreciation for creating space specifically for
BIPOC staff
○ An ask for what next steps look like
○ An ask to organize more district-wide affinity
spaces
○ There are multiple logistical barriers to bringing
classified & certified staff together for learning,
as well as staff across levels (elementary,
middle, high)
