A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.

Technologies used for my poster
- 1. The software I used to edit the original image taken on a Canon EOS was pic monkey. This enabled me to alter the brightness, saturation, shadow, contrast etc. by sliding button into positive or negative and in response the image I had inserted altered simultaneously with my actions. This I found really efficient and useful as it enabled me to completely alter the lighting of the image which made the image more conventional as high key lighting connotes positivity and happiness. The software I used to blur the background was a site called Pixlr editor. I already knew of this site, and I used the blur tool on there (similar to photoshop) to blur the areas of this image that I didn’t want to be in focus such as the males clothing. I was able to use te blur tool by clicking on the icon and using the mouse click on the image where I wanted the blur effect to work and it took this area out of focus for me. This lighting here is significant to the key light I used on picmonkey to create a focus pull on the couples faces. Pic monkey had an editing page which allowed me to use a ‘focus light’ on the couple’s faces. By clicking on the icon, then hovered over the couples faces lining up where I wanted the circular effect to go and then I clicked on the image. To find the font I wanted use was on a site called font space. I went through a range of different fonts after filtering my choice to serif font by typing into the search bar ‘serif’. The site allowed me to alter the size and colour of the font so that I could really see what it would look like in the colour and size I wanted it which was extremely helpful. After deciding on a couple of final fonts, I placed each font over the top of the poster on photo shop and I decided I preferred this font. The software I produced my poster and put everything together on was Adobe Photo shop. This I already knew how to use so I had a basic understanding of the software. I found this easy to place my poster as a layer which I named along the right hand side so that I could tell which layer was which. I then placed the font onto it after saving the font image from font space. I had already drafted how I wanted to compose my poster so I found it efficient to use.
