I’m quite practiced in most of the tools on Photoshop, such as the text and shape tools, as well as the tools used for color enhancement and replacement. However I wasn’t as aware of the picker tool and other selection tools which help to extract parts of an image, before I simply used the selection tool to cut a square out of the image and used the eraser tool to remove excess parts. I also decided to use more of the airbrushing tools to remove some parts of an image which would disrupt the shot to improve the photograph. I mostly used the paint brush tool on a low opacity and hardness to create a lighter, thinner layer that I could build up by duplicating the layer or changing the opacity.
This program was new to me, I hadn’t really used it in depth but after practicing I found it very similar to Photoshop. I developed my contents page and double page spread on the program instead of Photoshop because the layout of publisher was much more efficient. On publisher I learnt how to create and design a double page spread. I found that most of the tools had the same icon and purpose as Photoshop, so I didn’t take me long to become familiar with them.
