8. Technology is Essential in Today’s Classroom “ If students are to understand science and society, how can we avoid technology in the classroom?” (Ohana, 2006, 6). Technology is an integral part to both the teaching and learning processes. The only lingering question about technology is not about whether or not to use it, but how to use it appropriately so it may best serve teacher and student. With proper knowledge and preparation, it can greatly enhance the classroom experience.
