Social Movements Of Palestine And Palestine
In the 1990s there began a significant shift in social movements in Israel and Palestine. The history of
this region has been marked by violence, inequality, and oppression for a long time. The complicated
relationships between the two main powers in this area have developed over time and a variety of
groups on both sides of the conflict have reacted with by calling for peace. The first intifada had a
huge impact on who had the ablity to voice their concerns to fight the injustices occurring in this
region. It was during this popular uprising that women s movements first began to gain traction in
both Israel and Palestine. These movements were often defined by traditional and constricting ideals
of femininity, however over time they began to branch out with a more grassroots approach. Women s
movements in Israel have many similarities to those in Palestine and the Occupied Territories,
however there are some significant differences that separate the women involved in each of these
groups and the causes they choose to support. Gender equality is a complex issue with many
implications for the modern peace movement in Israel and Palestine, and it is crucial to note both the
ways in which these groups face similar challenges while also acknowledging the very different issues
faced by Israeli and Palestinian women. Especially in the period following the first intifada there was
a growing presence of women s groups in Israel that were often focused on peacemaking initiatives

1. What have the museum curators identified as the central theme of this exhibit? Explain how
curators understand this topic, its causes, and its consequences. How is this particular interpretation
reflected in the exhibit? (Give specific examples). [10 points, 1 paragraph] The central theme of the
exhibit focuses on a period of time that they call the Anthropocene, a proposed epoch that is defined
by humanity s effects on the environment. The curators take a multi disciplinary approach to the topic
by looking to geology, biology, and climate science to draw stronger conclusions. They also ask for
visitor feedback in several parts of the exhibit to gauge a social level of the impacts. Specifically, the
exhibit displays the preserved bodies of several different extinct animals and explains how humans

What was the most striking item/object/text in this exhibit to you? Why? [10 points, 1 paragraph] The
most striking object in the exhibit was the Stephens Island wren, a small flightless songbird that lived
on a tiny island in New Zealand. It was discovered the same year that it was declared extinct, because
of a pregnant cat that was brought to the island by a human living in the lighthouse on the island.
Seeing this unique little songbird wiped out totally by accident really drove the point home that much
of human impact on the environment is totally accidental. 4. What is a potential hole or omission in

audience; a theme or topic, etc. [15 points, 2 3

Paul Mccartney Conspiracy
It s a fool who plays it cool by making his world a little colder,¨ the voice of this lyric, Paul
McCartney, a former member of the Beatles and one of the most popular solo performers. He has been
the subject of a conspiracy for years. In 1966, McCartney was in a car wreck, the conspiracy is that he
died in the car wreck and was replaced by an imposter. Even though there are conspiracies that Paul
McCartney was cloned or replaced by an imposter, there are also many facts and logical explanations
that prove he is and always has been, the real Paul McCartney.
Background
Paul McCartney was born June 18, 1942, in Liverpool, England. He started his work with the Beatles,

Lennon believed it to be the music of the future . But particularly, it has dialogue throughout the track
that is saturated with references to the tragic car wreck. First, the words number nine were intended to
become turn me on, dead man when reversed. Sounds of a car horn, a crash, and fire are heard in this
track. Screams from a man can also be heard, and when played backward, those screams sound like
Get me out, which was what Paul had screamed after his car caught fire. During this part, Lennon
said, I m not in the mood for wearing clothing . Played backward would reveal the statement, There
were two, there are now none . Referring to Paul and the woman that was with him when the wreck
occurred.
Photo Comparisons and Voice Analysis
Some true believers have went as far as to do voice analysis of Paul McCartney s voice in songs
before and after the car crash. Through these voice analysis s they came to the conclusion that the real
Paul had died in the car wreck and was replaced by a fake Paul. In photo comparisons from before and
after the wreck, Paul s left eye appears lower and his chin seems more protruding. Also, his lips are
somewhat thinner.

Essay on The Texas Judicial System
The Texas Judicial System
The Texas Judicial System
The Texas judicial system has been called one of the most complex in the United States, if not the
world. It features five layers of courts, several instances of overlapping jurisdiction, and a bifurcated
appellate system at the top level. The structure of the system is laid out in Article 5 of the Texas
Constitution.
The Texas Supreme Court and Texas Court of Appeals has a bifurcated appellate system at the highest
level. Civil case appeals by the Texas Supreme Court, which also maintains the responsibility for
licensing attorneys. For appeals on criminal cases those got to The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.

basis but may be moved in order to equalize the docket. Also the 6th and 12th courts in East Texas,
appellate districts overlap in four counties Gregg, Rusk, Upshur, and Wood. The set up in the East
Texas districts has been heavily criticized as being friendly to forum shopping.
The following the districts and cities they are located:

8th El Paso, 9th Beaumont, 10th Waco, 11th Eastland, 12th Tyler, 13th Corpus Christi/Edinburgh, 14th

The state trial courts of general jurisdiction are the district courts. The district court has exclusive
jurisdiction on felony cases, as well as divorce cases, cases involving title to land, and election contest
cases. It shares jurisdiction with the county courts, and in some case justice of the peace courts, for
civil cases the lowest limit for hearing a case is a mere $200 in controversy, while in Justice of the
Peace courts can hear cases up to $5,000. In a catchall provision it hears all cases in which jurisdiction
is not placed in another trial court.

Dred Scott V. Sandford Research Paper
Dred Scott V. Sandford Research Paper It was the year of 1857 and a robust wind blew through the
South as the air was filled with both victory and horrific disappointment. An ordinary man named
Dred Scott began his journey for his rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Scott s struggle
for freedom would come to make him one of the most famous plaintiffs in American history and a
worldwide symbol for emancipation. Scott happened to be of African descent which was an extremely
difficult obstacle to live with in early America. The Dred Scott decision made by the supreme court in
March of 1857 negatively impacted the United States by empowering the South, contributing to the
secession, and expediting the Civil War. Dred Scott was forced to travel around with his owner, a
United States army surgeon, Dr. John Emerson. Dr. Emerson was assigned to Fort Armstrong located
in Illinois. As of 1818, when Illinois became a state, its state constitution declared it a free state
(Gunderson 16). Although illegal, Scott was still forced to work as a slave for his master. Dr. Emerson
soon requested a transfer from Fort Armstrong which was quickly answered; his new post was at Fort
Snelling. Fort Snelling was located in a newly created Wisconsin Territory near present day St. Paul,
Minnesota where slavery had been banned since 1820 (Gunderson 16). As Dr. Emerson continued to
be dissatisfied with many of the forts he traveled without his slaves for a while and met his wife

High School Sports Make Student Athletes
High school sports make student athletes strive for better success in their education. Sure some
Schools have a minimum G.P.A requirement of 2.0, and to get that all your classes have to be C or
better. Well that s better than letting them have a 1.0 and letting them play. It makes them have
something worth studying for, For example my friend Bryan Garcia does not like school or work but
he is always looking for ways to make his grades better so that he may play with the John F. Kennedy
soccer team. Also not all the states in the United States of America have a G.P.A requirement to play
in a sport activity, twelve out of the fifty states in the USA require a G.P.A to play. A High School

Kaonashi s Symbol Of Social Alienation In Spirited Away
Third, there is a symbol of the expression of social alienation in Spirited Away . The character who
represents the social alienation is Kaonashi. He is a transparent, so no one cares about him before
Chihiro bows him and lets him in the house. We can have questions who is Kaonashi and why
Kaonashi is transparent. Transparency of this world means the alienation of the world. At the scene
when Sen was trying to escape from the spirit world, Chihiro becomes transparent and almost

Cause And Effect Essay About Stress
Have you ever wondered why you had a major breakout of acne on your face last week? That incident
could be very likely caused a great deal of stress. Stress is a physical response that many people deal
with due to an overload of tension or straining. Stress is the body s response to specific situations, and
it affects a countless amount of people to this day. There are ways of dealing with stress and ways of
preventing it too. Stress is part of everyday life, and it is meant to be managed so that people can
remain happy and healthy. There are numerous things to know about stress and what exactly it is.
Stress is originally a response from the body when the body is feeling attacked. When a person is
under stress, the body will switch into a fight or flight type of mode. When the body goes into flight or
fight mode, it responds by releasing a mix of a variety of hormones and chemicals. Some of the
chemicals that the body may release include adrenaline, cortisol, and norepinephrine. These types of
hormones and chemicals are released in the intention of trying to prepare the body for physical action
to the stress that it is undergoing. The hormones and chemicals are released to respond to the situation
that the person is being accustomed to. The situation represents the stress that the person is dealing
with at that point in time. There are a variety of different types of stress that a person may experience,
and not all stress is necessarily bad to experience. One of the types of stress is called acute stress. This
type of stress is usually the most common that is dealt with today. This type of stress is as common as
a person brushing their teeth everyday. Acute stress takes place when the body reacts to a new
challenge, event, or demand. When this type of stress is being taken place, it will trigger the body to
go into fight or flight mode . Some examples that may be the cause of this type of stress may include
things like a fight with a close relative, pushing off homework to the very last minute, or waiting for a
letter to see if you got accepted to your dream college. Acute stress is not always necessarily bad or
considered negative . A person can also experience acute from things like

The Wonder Wom The Complications Of The Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman has been at the center of controversy ever since its premiere in June. Major
controversies revolved around the movie s feminist message, the women only screenings, and the
nationality of its leading actress. In an interview with The Guardian published in August, James
Cameron, the director of The Terminator and Titanic, called Wonder Woman a step backward and
commented that it had nothing groundbreaking. All of the self congratulatory back patting Hollywood
s been doing over Wonder Woman has been so misguided, he said, she s an objectified icon, and it s
just male Hollywood doing the same old thing. His criticism received an immediate rebuke from Patty
Jenkins, the director of Wonder Woman. Jenkins responded with a post on Twitter. James Cameron s
inability to understand what Wonder Woman is, or stands for, to women all over the world is
unsurprising as, though he is a great filmmaker, he is not a woman, she wrote, adding, There is no
right and wrong powerful kind of woman. Wonder Woman is a 2017 American superhero film based
on the DC Comics character of the same name. Wonder Woman, also called Princess Diana, is a
princess who grows up on the Amazon Island of Themyscira. She has the superhuman powers given
by the Greek gods, and she fights to defeat Ares, the God of War, and bring peace to the outside world.

John The Baptist Is Celebrated At St. John s Eve
John the Baptist is celebrated at St. John s Eve, which is usually celebrated on the same day as
Midsummer or Litha. In this article we will be delving into the mystery of John the Baptist in both
christianity and paganism. It s speculated wildly on him being based off an old pagan god, Oannes.
Therefore we will be looking at the history of both gods and both religions. We will also be looking at
similarities and inequalities.
John the Baptist and Oannes
John the Baptist baptized people before Jesus did and even Jesus himself. He was born 6 months
before Jesus and a lot of people speculated on him being the Messiah. However, John did never put
himself higher than Jesus, he simply prepared the way. In Mattheus 11, John says, I baptize you with
water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not
worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand,
and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with
unquenchable fire. Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried
to deter him, saying, I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me? Jesus replied, Let it be so
now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfull all righteousness. Then John consented. As soon as Jesus
was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit
of God descending like a

My Most Memorable Experience Of A Dentist
Whining, grating, mixing, and swishing are sounds I hear on and off. Each afternoon I join in to hear
the noises. These are the notes I want to hear for the rest of my life. I choose to spend my years in just
a few rooms as a dental assistant. I have come to know these rooms so vividly a dentist s office is
home for me. My most favorite place in the clinic is my little laboratory. It is the heart of the office,
centered between the two operatories and producing the supplies for our patients. I am reminded of
my kitchen, surrounded by the pale blue walls lined with chestnut cabinets and ivory counters, this
hole is my vacation. As I clean and store our little instruments away, I listen to the never ending drops

My most memorable experience from an operatory is when we were extracting some teeth from an
elderly woman. As the dentist tugged on her, the woman threw her head back with the release of the
tooth. Her wig flew off her head and into the wall. We were so shocked. The dentist and I held in our
laughter out of respect of the patient. When the woman began to giggle, my doctor roared and cackled
with laughter. I was stunned, because he has always been a quiet and reserved man. This experience
created a sense of comfort for me. I learned to relax in the rooms. The room most alien to me is the
breakroom. A small, quiet room filled with a comfy leather couch is a place I never have time for.
There is always work to be done. The room barely manages to support its contents a small counter
with a sink, a microwave, a small refrigerator, and the leather couch. It is my little cramped RV I never
get to drive. Lunch is the only hour I get to sense the breakroom. The smell of buttery grilled cheeses
and the unmistakable scent of the receptionist s tuna swarms the air. I grab my can of raviolis and

Spinach Photosynthesis Lab Report
We measured the rate of photosynthesis in this lab. By exposing spinach leaves to light, we were
triggering photosynthesis to start. Photons from the light excite electrons in the accessory pigments in
the leaves which then causes them to eventually transfer their energy to the chlorophyll a molecule in
the reaction center which causes an electron to jump to a primary electron acceptor, thus moving the
energy along. When this electron jumps, the photolysis of water occurs in order fill the electron hole
in the chlorophyll a molecules. H2O splits into electrons, H+ ions, and oxygen. Therefore measuring
the percentage of O2 in the container will be measuring the rate of photosynthesis. As there was no
increase in the amount of O2, this would ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For this lab, we used blue and red filters over the lights which, when measured, ended up having a
maximum emission for the blue filter of 491 nm while the red was 667 nm. Most red wavelengths
have a wavelength of 622 to 780 nm while blue wavelengths range from 455 to 492 nm ( Wavelength
). Moreover, spinach photosynthetic pigment absorbed light optimally between wavelengths of 400
nm and 450 nm and also at 650 nm (Lederer). This means that the blue wavelengths (being at 491 nm)
were 41 nm higher that the optimally absorbed wavelengths. On the other hand, the red wavelengths
of the filter were only 17 nm over 650 nm and therefore were much closer to the optimal absorbed
light. The shorter distance between the red wavelengths shows that the red filter was closest to the
wavelength that spinach would get the most out of. The blue wavelength was too far off from the
optimal wavelength so it did not do as much for its spinach leaves. This is why the red wavelengths
may have increased the rate of photosynthesis over the blue

Imperial Expansion Essay
Imperial expansion is an inevitable part of the historical development of the world. Without these
expansions, the world would not have been what it is to day. However, besides the obvious
contributions, these expansions also carried negative effects. Thus while celebration of some cases of
imperial expansions deserve to be acknowledged, others might not and to decide one needs to look
closely and see if the good outweighs the bad.
Songhai was largest empire in West Africa in the 15th century and had been a powerful empire ever

Conquistadors Hernán Cortés conquered Aztec kingdom in 1521 and Francisco Pizarro conquered the
Inca Empire in 1532. These conquests have opened the world to greater knowledge, and become
important basis of geographical studies. Moreover, the exploitation of the gold and other resources
from these conquered territories were sent home to Spain and eventually it became one of the most
powerful empires in the world. However, there is a dark side hidden under all these pompous
achievements. The Spanish in a matter of months annihilated both the Civilizations of the Inca and the
Aztec that took hundreds and thousands of yeas to establish. This left the descendants of the Inca and
the Aztec without remnants of the proper history of their ancestors. Moreover, one of the most
important reasons why the Spanish won these battle of Conquest was because these natives had been
debilitated by diseases which were brought in by the Spanish. Diseases like small pox caused the
population to quickly deplete. Moreover, the Spanish deemed themselves as superiority and coerced
the people of Mexico to convert to Christianity. After having been blatantly looted and tyrannized by
the Spanish, the people of Mexico were deprived of the only thing they have left: their beliefs. Spanish
Priests destroyed Aztec books, written documents demolished temples in an attempt to impose

The Core Principles of Nursing
Introduction: There are many different aspects to being a good nurse , but there are six core principles
of nursing which have emerged through progression of the nursing profession, (DoH 2012). The core
principles were brought in as a result of issues raised within the National Health Service (NHS) and
have been identified as caring and compassion; dignity; communication; professionalism; emotional
intelligence and the nurse patient relationship. The three principles I have chosen to analyse are
communication, dignity and nurse patient relationship because it is my belief that when a nurse lacks
awareness of these, they will also lack the ability to be a successful nurse. From my own research and
experience, these three principles are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Maintaining dignity is not only meaningful in the first stages of caring for an individual, but essential
throughout a patient s care; by giving the element of control, it will help promote patient
independence. Promoting dignity can be achieved more easily if the patient and nurse establish a good
working nurse patient relationship, further enhanced by treating each individual equally, regardless of
protected characteristics, (e.g. age, culture, race, religion, etc.), to ensure everyone is given the same
level of care and importance. Zion (2011) said that consistency within the unit, by the way the care
staff approached patients right through to the way they communicated amongst colleagues, gave him
what he needed to go back into society and get back hold of his dignity. Zion s perception supports the
idea that nurses and care staff have a significant role in patient s experiences. Although it s his
personal opinion, he is speaking as the patient and talking about of an experience which has directly
affected him. He clearly states that due to the staff consistency and communication, they gave him
back his dignity that he perhaps lost on arrival to the hospital. He tells us about how he was restrained
onto a bed whilst being taken from the emergency room to the unit, after suffering from mental
illnesses, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

1965 Voting Rights Act
I think there were many events that helped the passage of the 1965 Voting Rights Act to pass some I
would not characterize as fortunate.
I would point out that Television was now in people s homes, news came more instantaneous than
before, the death of a young black man named Jimmie Lee Jackson s, and Bloody Sunday.
The first event that leads us to Selma is the encounter with Sheriff Jim Clark who on the town hall
steps stops blacks from entering the building thus not allowing them to register to vote. This event
leads the Sheriff to club a black man on the steps of city hall making him fall down and what appears
to be him now unconscious on the ground. This was all filmed by a news organization.

Analysis Of The Movie Crash
In the movie Crash, the director Paul Haggis interweaves multiple connected stories about race, class,
family, and gender in Los Angeles, California after the 9/11 event. All the characters are shown to
have life changing experiences with their conflicts of stereotypes, prejudice, and racism within a span
of 36 hours. This movie has won three Oscars and was deemed expertly written and Best Picture
Oscar winner ... sprawling and ambitious, episodic and contrived by Cynthia Fuchs, a professional
movie critic. So, how did this movie become so well known and popular in the U.S., even though
there are already so many movies with similar themes?
According to K.M. Weiland, a prolific writer of books and audios records states that, ...the beginning
of any good story is its hook, and that beginnings are the sales pitch for your entire story (338). Within
the first 5 minutes of Crash, this motion picture was able to hook the audience. The hook comes in
many forms, but stripped down to its lowest common denominator, it s nothing more or less than a
question (Weiland 338). The question that Crash used to hook its audience was by defining the
conflict, creating a tone, and establishing a movement within the first few minutes of the movie.
The movie begins with the introduction of Graham Waters, an African American detective in the Los
Angeles Police Department, and his female partner Ria that had just been rear ended in a car accident.
Ria, then exited the car to confront the woman who hit them, during which Graham was seen rambling
to himself during the scene. As she exits the car, she sees a Chinese woman named Kim Lee, Kim was
a smaller woman with black hair and a strong Chinese accent. In less than ten seconds after she left
the car both women started to exchange racial insults to one another, each blaming the other for the
crash incident. Waters then exits the car himself and starts walking towards a police investigation
crime scene. Where Waters learned about a discovery of a dead body. As shown here, the conflict, tone
and movement of the movie are already established.
There are three conflicts that are shown immediately at the introduction scene. The car crash itself, the
interaction between Ria and Kim,

Should the U.S. make English its official language, and why? : An official Language? Montopoli

two additional English Language Unity Acts, one in 2013 and again in 2015. With 82.1 percent fluent

significant effect on the typical citizen. This would be beneficial because there would not be a need for
the people to assimilate. Even for those that don t currently speak English fluently, it would only be
beneficial to learn how; being fluent would increase the ease in which one communicated with a
person that only speaks English, and would make one more eligible for better work here. With better
work, an immigrant s financial status would be elevated and could in turn lift them out of poverty or
even out of middle class. Not only would we be benefitted with being united globally and as a country,
but having an official language would help to promote improved literacy rates specifically with
immigrants. Typically with an official language, the said language is needed to conduct official

Ethosomal Gels Lab Report
The pH of all ethosomal gels was found between 6.0 and 7.0 (Table 3) that lie in the normal pH range
of skin, 4.0 6.8 and hence the preparations will be irritation free [24]. The pH of all the ethosomal gels
was more or less equal to the skin pH, making the formulations suitable for application on skin aiding
in systemic action. % Drug content of all the formulations was determined and was found to have a
range of 98 100% when UV Spectrophotometer is used. This shows that drug was dispersed
homogenously throughout the gels. The drug content for F13 formulation was found to be higher
because of the optimum ethanol concentration. The Viscosity is optimum for 1.5% carbopol
concentration since it has good flow and consistency unlike the 1% and the 2%, these both have either
less or more viscosity compared to the optimum 1.5% carbopol. Viscosity of the optimized gel was
found to have a range of 754 1350cp. Among which 1.5% concentration of carbopol gave good results
of 1290±7cp. Determination of viscosity of gel matrix, is important as it assists in evaluating the
penetration across the skin by controlling the release of the drug into the receptor medium. The same
trend was observed by Lin et al., (2014) on the viscosity of apigenin ethosomes formulation [25].

that a successful ethosomal formulation can be formulated for finasteride. Further this can be

Roe Vs Wade Summary
Roe vs. Wade In the case of Roe vs. Wade, Jane Roe, whose real name is Norma McCorvey was at the

made it a crime to obtain or attempt an abortion except for medical reasons like to save the life of the
mother. Roe claimed rights to privacy. In 1971, the case was then sent to be argues in the supreme

the state has a right to protect prenatal life. He argued that life is created at the moment of

The Texas law is a legal exercise of police powers reserved by the state in order to protect the health

Examples Of Mercy And Compassion
There are so many ways on how to practice mercy and compassion. There are three simple steps given
to us by Pope Francis during his apostolic visit here in the Philippines on how to become ministers of
mercy and compassion. First is to rest with God. Second is to renew one s self. Third is to love others.
Pope Francis tells us that To be an ambassador for Christ means to invite everyone to a renewed
personal encounter with Christ. (Evangelii Gaudium). A renewed personal encounter with Christ is
witnessed when we rest with God. Rest is very crucial to everyone s life. But some people seldom
have time to rest due to hectic schedules and for some students are overflowing homeworks. Rest is
very important that even God rested during the 7th ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And also there are people that we love so much but doesn t return our love back. Real love is about
loving God, and letting Him love us back. Another way of practicing mercy and compassion is to love
others. Loving others unlike the renewal of one s self focuses on giving love to other people. Loving
others is bringing Jesus to others. Loving others is not just about giving them what they need, it s
about teaching them how to provide for themselves. Let us practice mercy and compassion by resting
with God, renewing ourselves, and loving others. During the season of lent we reflect on the passion,
death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Lent is a source of mercy and compassion in a way
that we practice fasting and abstinence and as much as possible drink water. Water has a chemical
formula of H2O which means, H for Honesty, H for Humility, for being humble enough to admit your
mistakes, and O for Obedience, for obeying the people in authority like our parents. These 3 are the
sources of mercy and compassion. That s why we should be honest, humble and obedient. Always
drink H20 on the season of Lent. The author spent his holy week in the Philippines.

The Third Person Narrative Perspective
The third person narrative perspective became popular in the Victorian Era. One would deem the 3rd
person narrator to be more reliable and objective as an external viewer, yet in A High Wind in
Jamaica, written by Richard Hughes, it is evident that the narrator is unreliable and inconsistent. He
becomes a part of the story, unable or unwilling to hide his bias and prejudice. To better understand
the unknown narrator in Hughes book, one must elucidate on the limitations of the narrator s abilities,
his bias against children, and his child like behavior.
The narrator explicitly acknowledges that he is unable to read certain people s minds, allowing
himself to appear vulnerable and relatively powerless to the reader. The first group of the people
whose minds he cannot access are the adults. He states, Jose gave a cry of alarm, sprang onto the cow
s back, and was instantly lowered away just as if the cinema has already been invented. He must have
looked very comic. But what was going on inside of him the while it is difficult to know, admitting
how arduous of a task it is to read adults minds. (Hughes, 110) Although the narrator is best at
accessing Emily s thoughts, that ability is majorly tarnished once Emily gets to the stage of self
realization, and fully stopped once Mr. Mathias, the lawyer, speak to Emily. The narrator writes, What
was in her [Emily s] mind now? I can no longer read Emily s deeper thoughts, or handle their cords.

that will challenge me and help me grow as a person. This paper will explore the job description,
requirements, and salary expectation for a pilot. First, a pilot s job description is very extensive.
Firstly, there are many general duties as a pilot. The Occupational Handbook mentions that even

Depending on your specific job as a pilot, the pay is extremely good, which is always a plus to me. I
think the job in general and the work environment sound like they would fit me very well. I feel as
though I would work best and be most comfortable in a job where I work closely with only a few
people. I now know the extent of difficulty this job comes with, but luckily the most difficult aspect is
the schooling and not the job itself. In summary, there are many elements in the job description of a
pilot. Second, it is important to consider the educational and personal qualifications of being a pilot.
To begin, the Occupational Handbook describes what education requirements you need. To be a
commercial pilot you will need a high school diploma or the equivalent before you can even begin
training; in order to fly for an airline, you will need a bachelor s degree. As for pilot specific training
you will need six certificates: a Student Pilot Certificate, Private Pilot License, Instrument Rating,
Commercial Pilot License, Multi Engine Rating, and an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. Education
received through the military is also highly valued, but not necessary (OCO). Next, there are a few
available places to receive pilot training in Kansas. Spartan College notes that they have a 33 month
program to become an airline ready pilot. The Spartan

Examples Of Classification Of Business Students
Classification of Business Students
As members of a team studying at State Colleges, students are individuals. As a team, however, they
are a collage of different individuals working together to achieve a common goal. The goal, in this
case, is a business management degree. No matter how common their goal is as a team, students, as
individuals, have a unique path to achieving it.
Some team members have an interactive style. In other words, they have the tendency to be fast paced,
and spontaneous. This is fine and works well with a couple of the dominant styles in the group as they
see eye to eye on the speed of completing tasks. On the other hand, there is a cautious style with the
team that has a slower paced approach to tasks. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nonetheless, they must always maintain perspective by seeking to be less emotional and intense about
non critical situations. Taking a stress management course and learning simple breathing exercises to
deal with pressure will be best for an impresser.
Another style is the predominantly behavioral cautious style, which is also known as the master
minder. The master minder is said to be more guarded and less indirect than most other cautious
styles. The primary goal motivating this type of behavior is to increase opportunities for unique and
significant personal accomplishments. This type of person express themselves more by what he or she
does than what he or she says. Consequently, this person has strong needs to choose their own goals
and to work independently. They incline to be primary idea generators and developers, and they have
little interest in dealing with implementation details. Some of their tendencies are being focused and
self controlled with people and also being focused on the future, especially in concerning ideas and
opportunities. Sometimes they have a tendency to over analyze and possibly procrastinate when they
re under pressure. Although they do take some calculated risk when making decisions, they also enjoy
planning, monitoring, and measuring. However, to improve his or her educational achievements, a
person with this type of behavior needs to work on being less guarded and more direct when
communicating with others. They need to commit

Merlin, a prophet with the gift of sight in Mary Stewart s Hollow Hills plays the protagonists in the
quest to make Arthur King. He has several magical abilities including most notably his gift of sight

spies. To deter them from following him he gave them a letter in Greek that would have to be
translated and once translated tell of Arthurs whereabouts. The details enclosed were fake and only
added time for Merlin to escape (214 224). It was a battle of wits where Merlin prevailed and could

Maagdalena And Mary Magdalene
This reference to Mary Magdalene is implicitly referencing the individual painting however, it can
also be seen as an explicit reference when you see the physical painting of Penitent Magdalene. He
also addresses her as Magdalene which adds to the strength of the reference. This reference is a strong
biblical reference that can have a variety of interpretations although it can be argued that Caravaggio
loved her so much because he wishes that he could repent for his sins. He had a troubled life when he
was younger and there were a lot of mistakes that he made when he was younger that he is not proud
of. He is also a presumed homosexual and although homosexuality was very prominent in nobility and
among patrons who took advantage of Caravaggio, homosexuality was deemed unnatural and
therefore must remain hidden. A significant difference between the historical Mary Magdalene and
Lena is the difference in their life before repentance and their life after. Mary Magdalene was a
repentant prostitute who was asking for forgiveness for her choice of lifestyle and her sins. She was
claimed to have found a new life in the way of christ and leave behind a life of luxury and sin in order
to cleanse herself in the way of the savior Jesus Christ. Lena s reasoning for repentance is different,
she is moving away from her life of sin and prostitution in order to raise her baby with a wealthy man
and live a life of grandeur. This idea is interesting because it presents the question of why

Greek Drama In Mr. Nobody
Elements of Greek Drama in Mr. Nobody
Summary
Mr. Nobody is an amazing science fiction journey following Nemo Nobody. The movie might be
confusing at first, but the pieces all start fitting together to show his multiple lives and experiences.
Each life that Nemo goes through shows almost every possibility, every single thing that could go
horribly wrong or beautifully right. (You should really watch this if you haven t, but I might be ruining
it for you by writing this essay.)
One can find Greek drama elements in almost every piece of literature or film, but Mr. Nobody can be
a difficult film to discover these elements. Because of the purposeful confusion in the story it could be
a struggle to link the true with fictional and find a specific element. This movie is though filled with
Greek drama elements that help the story flow and make sense to the audience. The first noticeable
element is the prologue where Nemo, the main character in this film, is a child narrating how his
parents met and raised him. Before Nemo comes into the world, he is in a bright, cloudy room with
many other children where they wait to get touched by angels so that they could forget the spiritual
life before birth. The only problem is is that Nemo didn t get touched and he was forgotten; meaning

He states multiple times throughout the movie As long as you don t choose, everything remains
possible and Every path is the right path. These quotes set the philosophical laws that the film
revolves around while going through each and every life Nemo could live. In one point in the film it
shows the choices of Anna, Nemo s one true love, in the future at a subway station. If she had walked
one way or went to meet Nemo at the lighthouse, then they would have been together after decades of
being apart from their love. This love is what later on ruins Nemo s

Write A Narrative Essay About Moving Again
Noooooooo I screamed dropping to the floor. My parents stopped in their tracks and stared at me, their
faces confused. Why do we have to move, I just had the best day ever at school. You wouldn t even

Well... he replied starting out slowly, The grape season is over and we have to go find a place to make
some money for our family to live. You want ths family to stay healthy right, Panchtio? I sighed sadly
Fine. then I walked away, tears almost dropping down my face as I sat down on a box. I didn t like this

The Physics Of American Football
The Physics of American Football In America, sports are an important part of the culture. People
watch them for pure fun and entertain or because they simply love the game. American sports such as
football all have some aspect of physics that are tied into the sport. Football is not just simply
throwing a ball to a wide receiver or kicking a field goal for an extra point. There are ways in which
players, from Pop Warner to professional players alike, play the game that may look simple from a
television screen or from a stadium seat. Newton s laws of motion can be applied to many aspects in
the game of football. By learning the physics of football, a fan can become an expert on this
seemingly simple sport. To begin, explaining how the game of football works, will help any reader
understand why knowing the physics can be important. According to James Adler, from about.com,
Football is a sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts on each
end. The offense, or the team with control of the ball, attempts to advance the ball downfield by
running or passing the ball, while the opposing team aims to stop their advance and take control of the
ball themselves. (Adler) The main objective of the game is have to most points by the end of four 12
minute quarters. To score, the quarterback tries to advance the ball up the field to score as many
touchdowns, or field goals as possible, while holding the other team to as few as possible (Adler).

Phasor Measurement Unit Essay
Large scale smart grid initiatives require fast and accurate monitoring of power system network.
Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) is one of the major components which are increasingly deployed in
the power system network to provide the necessary infrastructure to cater smart grid requirements.
PMUs provide time synchronized measurement of voltage and current phasors (Phadke and Thorp
2008) from different nodes of the power system network, which is used for monitoring and control.
NASPI (March 2015) and NERC (September 2016) suggest use of phasor data from the PMUs to
perform verification of dynamic models as well as validating parameters of power plant models. A
parameter identification toolbox for power system models developed using the ... Show more content

The mismatch in PMU measurements and dynamic simulators lead to anomalous result for application
such as event location, oscillation detection, islanding detection, and dynamic line rating as indicated
in (Zhao et al. 2015). While PMUs can measure and time synchronize the output phasor with great
accuracy, the internal signal processing may utilize several cycles of the input signal measurements to
calculate each phasor values. Thus, even if the PMU report phasor each cycle, the measurements is not
representative of the current cycle but of a number of the preceding and following cycles depending
on the sliding window of data used for the phasor estimation. This typically smooths out/filters faster
changes that may be present in the simulation output, rendering PMU output not comparable to
simulated response for the same disturbance when fast changing responses are present (applicable for
a very small time constant parameters in the model of the physical system). Phasor estimation can be
performed in electromagnetic simulators in which point of wave signal is available. Phasor estimation
of a point of wave signal is applied in electromagnetic simulator using enhanced DFT based algorithm
in (Romano, Pignati, and Paolone 2015). A mechanism for streaming simulated phasors from TSAT in
C37.118 format is proposed in (Zheng, Howell, and Wang 2015). However, these phasors do not
reflect the PMU characteristics as

The Meaning Of Shakespeare In The Bush By Laura Bohannan
No one piece of writing could ever be universally understood, especially a Shakespearean play. The
themes and meanings of Shakespearean plays have been in always been in debate and most likely
always will be because not only does a reader s societal background and experiences change how they
might interpret a piece of writing, but in addition, Shakespearean plays are written in a way that is old
and extremely difficult to understand. When Professor Laura Bohannan, an anthropologist who had
spent many fellowships in her career conducting research in East Africa, visited a tribe of people
called the Tiv of West Africa, she read Shakespeare s Hamlet, and believed the story had a very clear
plot and that the understanding of the story could not be interpreted multiple ways. In Bohannan s
short story Shakespeare in the Bush, she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Reading about the different explanations the Tiv had for why and how different aspects of
Shakespeare s Hamlet s plot progressed was fascinating because even though they did not believe in
ghosts or understood Hamlet s motives for wanting to kill King Claudius, the Tiv people still used
their wisdom to determine what they believed is the most intelligent interpretation of Hamlet and
gained some wisdom from hearing the story. When Shakespeare wrote Hamlet, I m sure he had a hope
that the story would be interpreted a specific way, but I think the fact that even though the Tiv people
didn t receive the same message from Hamlet as Shakespeare would have liked them to, it is still
significant that the Tiv people gained knowledge and entertainment from hearing the story, which is
really what any storyteller like Shakespeare should ask

Deviance and Internet Piracy
Deviance? Defined as anything of violation of the norm.
In the sociological perspective of functionalist, deviance is important for society to remain functional.

Piracy is defined as an act of robbery or criminal violence at sea.
The idea of categorizing the transgression of private rights in creative works as piracy predates

In 2006, Jammie Thomas Rasset a mother of four violated intellectual property laws by downloading
illegal music in her use of the file sharing program Kazaa. The country s top court upheld without

  • 2. Social Movements Of Palestine And Palestine In the 1990s there began a significant shift in social movements in Israel and Palestine. The history of this region has been marked by violence, inequality, and oppression for a long time. The complicated relationships between the two main powers in this area have developed over time and a variety of groups on both sides of the conflict have reacted with by calling for peace. The first intifada had a huge impact on who had the ablity to voice their concerns to fight the injustices occurring in this region. It was during this popular uprising that women s movements first began to gain traction in both Israel and Palestine. These movements were often defined by traditional and constricting ideals of femininity, however over time they began to branch out with a more grassroots approach. Women s movements in Israel have many similarities to those in Palestine and the Occupied Territories, however there are some significant differences that separate the women involved in each of these groups and the causes they choose to support. Gender equality is a complex issue with many implications for the modern peace movement in Israel and Palestine, and it is crucial to note both the ways in which these groups face similar challenges while also acknowledging the very different issues faced by Israeli and Palestinian women. Especially in the period following the first intifada there was a growing presence of women s groups in Israel that were often focused on peacemaking initiatives ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

How is this particular interpretation reflected in the exhibit? (Give specific examples). [10 points, 1 paragraph] The central theme of the exhibit focuses on a period of time that they call the Anthropocene, a proposed epoch that is defined by humanity s effects on the environment. The curators take a multi disciplinary approach to the topic by looking to geology, biology, and climate science to draw stronger conclusions. They also ask for visitor feedback in several parts of the exhibit to gauge a social level of the impacts. What was the most striking item/object/text in this exhibit to you? Why? [10 points, 1 paragraph] The most striking object in the exhibit was the Stephens Island wren, a small flightless songbird that lived on a tiny island in New Zealand. It was discovered the same year that it was declared extinct, because of a pregnant cat that was brought to the island by a human living in the lighthouse on the island. Seeing this unique little songbird wiped out totally by accident really drove the point home that much of human impact on the environment is totally accidental. 4. Screams from a man can also be heard, and when played backward, those screams sound like Get me out, which was what Paul had screamed after his car caught fire. During this part, Lennon said, I m not in the mood for wearing clothing . Played backward would reveal the statement, There were two, there are now none . • 6. Dred Scott V. Sandford Research Paper Dred Scott V. Sandford Research Paper It was the year of 1857 and a robust wind blew through the South as the air was filled with both victory and horrific disappointment. An ordinary man named Dred Scott began his journey for his rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Scott s struggle for freedom would come to make him one of the most famous plaintiffs in American history and a worldwide symbol for emancipation. Scott happened to be of African descent which was an extremely difficult obstacle to live with in early America. The Dred Scott decision made by the supreme court in March of 1857 negatively impacted the United States by empowering the South, contributing to the secession, and expediting the Civil War. Dred Scott was forced to travel around with his owner, a United States army surgeon, Dr. John Emerson. Dr. Emerson was assigned to Fort Armstrong located in Illinois. As of 1818, when Illinois became a state, its state constitution declared it a free state (Gunderson 16). Although illegal, Scott was still forced to work as a slave for his master. Dr. Emerson soon requested a transfer from Fort Armstrong which was quickly answered; his new post was at Fort Snelling. Fort Snelling was located in a newly created Wisconsin Territory near present day St. Paul, Minnesota where slavery had been banned since 1820 (Gunderson 16). • 12. The Wonder Wom The Complications Of The Wonder Woman Wonder Woman has been at the center of controversy ever since its premiere in June. Major controversies revolved around the movie s feminist message, the women only screenings, and the nationality of its leading actress. In an interview with The Guardian published in August, James Cameron, the director of The Terminator and Titanic, called Wonder Woman a step backward and commented that it had nothing groundbreaking. All of the self congratulatory back patting Hollywood s been doing over Wonder Woman has been so misguided, he said, she s an objectified icon, and it s just male Hollywood doing the same old thing. His criticism received an immediate rebuke from Patty Jenkins, the director of Wonder Woman. Jenkins responded with a post on Twitter. James Cameron s inability to understand what Wonder Woman is, or stands for, to women all over the world is unsurprising as, though he is a great filmmaker, he is not a woman, she wrote, adding, There is no right and wrong powerful kind of woman. Wonder Woman is a 2017 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Wonder Woman, also called Princess Diana, is a princess who grows up on the Amazon Island of Themyscira. • 13. John The Baptist Is Celebrated At St. John s Eve John the Baptist is celebrated at St. John s Eve, which is usually celebrated on the same day as Midsummer or Litha. In this article we will be delving into the mystery of John the Baptist in both christianity and paganism. It s speculated wildly on him being based off an old pagan god, Oannes. Therefore we will be looking at the history of both gods and both religions. We will also be looking at similarities and inequalities. John the Baptist and Oannes John the Baptist baptized people before Jesus did and even Jesus himself. He was born 6 months before Jesus and a lot of people speculated on him being the Messiah. However, John did never put himself higher than Jesus, he simply prepared the way. In Mattheus 11, John says, I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire. Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried to deter him, saying, I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me? Jesus replied, Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfull all righteousness. Then John consented. As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. These are the notes I want to hear for the rest of my life. I choose to spend my years in just a few rooms as a dental assistant. I have come to know these rooms so vividly a dentist s office is home for me. My most favorite place in the clinic is my little laboratory. It is the heart of the office, centered between the two operatories and producing the supplies for our patients. • 19. Spinach Photosynthesis Lab Report We measured the rate of photosynthesis in this lab. By exposing spinach leaves to light, we were triggering photosynthesis to start. Photons from the light excite electrons in the accessory pigments in the leaves which then causes them to eventually transfer their energy to the chlorophyll a molecule in the reaction center which causes an electron to jump to a primary electron acceptor, thus moving the energy along. When this electron jumps, the photolysis of water occurs in order fill the electron hole in the chlorophyll a molecules. H2O splits into electrons, H+ ions, and oxygen. Therefore measuring the percentage of O2 in the container will be measuring the rate of photosynthesis. As there was no increase in the amount of O2, this would ... For this lab, we used blue and red filters over the lights which, when measured, ended up having a maximum emission for the blue filter of 491 nm while the red was 667 nm. Most red wavelengths have a wavelength of 622 to 780 nm while blue wavelengths range from 455 to 492 nm ( Wavelength ). Moreover, spinach photosynthetic pigment absorbed light optimally between wavelengths of 400 nm and 450 nm and also at 650 nm (Lederer). This means that the blue wavelengths (being at 491 nm) were 41 nm higher that the optimally absorbed wavelengths. On the other hand, the red wavelengths of the filter were only 17 nm over 650 nm and therefore were much closer to the optimal absorbed light. The shorter distance between the red wavelengths shows that the red filter was closest to the wavelength that spinach would get the most out of. The blue wavelength was too far off from the optimal wavelength so it did not do as much for its spinach leaves. Maintaining dignity is not only meaningful in the first stages of caring for an individual, but essential throughout a patient s care; by giving the element of control, it will help promote patient independence. Promoting dignity can be achieved more easily if the patient and nurse establish a good working nurse patient relationship, further enhanced by treating each individual equally, regardless of protected characteristics, (e.g. age, culture, race, religion, etc.), to ensure everyone is given the same level of care and importance. Zion (2011) said that consistency within the unit, by the way the care staff approached patients right through to the way they communicated amongst colleagues, gave him what he needed to go back into society and get back hold of his dignity. Zion s perception supports the idea that nurses and care staff have a significant role in patient s experiences. The question that Crash used to hook its audience was by defining the conflict, creating a tone, and establishing a movement within the first few minutes of the movie. The movie begins with the introduction of Graham Waters, an African American detective in the Los Angeles Police Department, and his female partner Ria that had just been rear ended in a car accident. • 38. The Third Person Narrative Perspective The third person narrative perspective became popular in the Victorian Era. One would deem the 3rd person narrator to be more reliable and objective as an external viewer, yet in A High Wind in Jamaica, written by Richard Hughes, it is evident that the narrator is unreliable and inconsistent. He becomes a part of the story, unable or unwilling to hide his bias and prejudice. To better understand the unknown narrator in Hughes book, one must elucidate on the limitations of the narrator s abilities, his bias against children, and his child like behavior. The narrator explicitly acknowledges that he is unable to read certain people s minds, allowing himself to appear vulnerable and relatively powerless to the reader. The first group of the people whose minds he cannot access are the adults. He states, Jose gave a cry of alarm, sprang onto the cow s back, and was instantly lowered away just as if the cinema has already been invented. He must have looked very comic. But what was going on inside of him the while it is difficult to know, admitting how arduous of a task it is to read adults minds. (Hughes, 110) Although the narrator is best at accessing Emily s thoughts, that ability is majorly tarnished once Emily gets to the stage of self realization, and fully stopped once Mr. Mathias, the lawyer, speak to Emily. He also addresses her as Magdalene which adds to the strength of the reference. This reference is a strong biblical reference that can have a variety of interpretations although it can be argued that Caravaggio loved her so much because he wishes that he could repent for his sins. He had a troubled life when he was younger and there were a lot of mistakes that he made when he was younger that he is not proud of. He is also a presumed homosexual and although homosexuality was very prominent in nobility and among patrons who took advantage of Caravaggio, homosexuality was deemed unnatural and therefore must remain hidden. A significant difference between the historical Mary Magdalene and Lena is the difference in their life before repentance and their life after. She was claimed to have found a new life in the way of christ and leave behind a life of luxury and sin in order to cleanse herself in the way of the savior Jesus Christ. People watch them for pure fun and entertain or because they simply love the game. American sports such as football all have some aspect of physics that are tied into the sport. Football is not just simply throwing a ball to a wide receiver or kicking a field goal for an extra point. There are ways in which players, from Pop Warner to professional players alike, play the game that may look simple from a television screen or from a stadium seat. Newton s laws of motion can be applied to many aspects in the game of football. By learning the physics of football, a fan can become an expert on this seemingly simple sport. To begin, explaining how the game of football works, will help any reader understand why knowing the physics can be important. According to James Adler, from about.com, Football is a sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts on each end. The offense, or the team with control of the ball, attempts to advance the ball downfield by running or passing the ball, while the opposing team aims to stop their advance and take control of the ball themselves. (Adler) The main objective of the game is have to most points by the end of four 12 minute quarters. To score, the quarterback tries to advance the ball up the field to score as many touchdowns, or field goals as possible, while holding the other team to as few as possible (Adler). ... Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) is one of the major components which are increasingly deployed in the power system network to provide the necessary infrastructure to cater smart grid requirements. The mismatch in PMU measurements and dynamic simulators lead to anomalous result for application such as event location, oscillation detection, islanding detection, and dynamic line rating as indicated in (Zhao et al. 2015). While PMUs can measure and time synchronize the output phasor with great accuracy, the internal signal processing may utilize several cycles of the input signal measurements to calculate each phasor values. Thus, even if the PMU report phasor each cycle, the measurements is not representative of the current cycle but of a number of the preceding and following cycles depending on the sliding window of data used for the phasor estimation. This typically smooths out/filters faster changes that may be present in the simulation output, rendering PMU output not comparable to simulated response for the same disturbance when fast changing responses are present (applicable for a very small time constant parameters in the model of the physical system). Phasor estimation can be performed in electromagnetic simulators in which point of wave signal is available. Phasor estimation of a point of wave signal is applied in electromagnetic simulator using enhanced DFT based algorithm in (Romano, Pignati, and Paolone 2015). A mechanism for streaming simulated phasors from TSAT in C37.118 format is proposed in (Zheng, Howell, and Wang 2015). However, these phasors do not reflect the PMU characteristics as ... When Professor Laura Bohannan, an anthropologist who had spent many fellowships in her career conducting research in East Africa, visited a tribe of people called the Tiv of West Africa, she read Shakespeare s Hamlet, and believed the story had a very clear plot and that the understanding of the story could not be interpreted multiple ways. When Shakespeare wrote Hamlet, I m sure he had a hope that the story would be interpreted a specific way, but I think the fact that even though the Tiv people didn t receive the same message from Hamlet as Shakespeare would have liked them to, it is still significant that the Tiv people gained knowledge and entertainment from hearing the story, which is really what any storyteller like Shakespeare should ask ...
