Essay On Tornado Forecasting
In 2011, there was a total of 1,691 tornadoes reported across the country; making 2011 an unusual
active and deadly year for tornadoes across the U.S. Based on National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration (NOAA), 2011 tornado statistics broke the record for greatest number of tornadoes in
a single month in April 2011 with a total number of 758 tornadoes and the greatest daily total of 200.
The outbreak of the tornadoes caused 360 people to be killed during the entire month of April 2011.
Even though the tornado forecast method has been significantly improved, it did not stop the
incredible outbreaks of tornadoes that happened. In May 2011, it was U.S history worst tornado
outbreaks in six decades that claimed more than 500 lives and was responsible for $10.8 billion in
total damage. Due to an unbalance in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Meteorologists often rely on massive computers program called numerical weather prediction models
to help them decide if the condition will be right for the development of tornadoes. The computer
forecast models are designed to calculate the atmosphere at a certain point over a large area, from
Earth s surface to the top of the atmosphere. This weather data forecast by the numerical computer
program will give meteorologist a lead time that can be announced to the affected neighborhood.
The length of time between issuing a forecast and the actual event occurring, due to the prediction of
that event occurring is the lead time. Such forecast may predict the timing of a squall line while also
taking account into changes in the environmental conditions with which the storm may interact.
However, there is a different range of forecasts such as short range forecasts, medium range forecasts,
extended range forecast, and monthly and longer range forecast that predicts different lead time
ranging from approximately twelve hours to two

Pluto Planet
Due to some of Pluto s various characteristics, this icy dwarf planet, and other dwarf planets are not
considered regular planets, such as Earth. These reasons also make other dwarf planets, like Eris,
Haumea, Ceres, and Makemake, outliers, when compared to the general eight planets. Astronomers
predict that there are possibly hundreds of dwarf planets that surpass the Kuiper Belt, just waiting to
be discovered. There are three rules, making a planet, a planet. These include, the planet is round, it
orbits around the sun, and it has cleared the neighborhood of its orbit. Pluto only follows the first two
rules therefore, Pluto is no longer called a planet, just a dwarf planet.

The small planet pluto has had scientist question its classification, for almost a century. Pluto is round
and it orbits the sun. You may wonder how come itr is not a planet then? Pluto has not cleared the
neighborhood at which it orbits. If Pluto only surpasses two out of three of the qualifications than it
can not be considered a planet, so it must be put in a different category, dwarf planet. Out of context
dwarf means small, which suits these planets, considering they are smaller than the moon. All of the
known dwarf planets have played quite a significant role in history. By virtues of Pluto s distinct
components, Pluto, along its other dwarf counterparts lack the unique qualities of planets, therefore

WWII Allied Forces Looked to Win the War with Operation...
Introduction
17 September 1944, Allied forces looking for a means to win the war by the end of the year, launched
the biggest air and ground offensive in the history of warfare.1 Allied commanders had to find a way
to break through the Siegfried Line. The Siegfried Line was the western defensive line into Germany
extending north from the border of Switzerland to the Ruhr area of Germany. Instead of trying to
break through the line, they decided to move north through Holland.
21st Army Group included 1st Allied Airborne Army and 2nd British Army. 1st Allied Airborne Army

Eisenhower to present his plan. Although this plan met resistance among several other Allied
commanders, Eisenhower approved the mission. The first planning meeting took place that same
evening for Operation Market.
Planning/Preparation
Due to the shortened timeline, the Allies had to act fast if they were going to capitalize on the
momentum gained thus far. From conception to initiation, planning time for Operation Market Garden
was one week. Compared to the months spent planning the airborne invasion of Normandy, Operation
Market Garden s short planning timeline raised doubt and concern among all participants. Most of
which, were concerns over the sheer size of the operation and the fact that it was created with such a
short planning cycle. Another major concern was due to a lack of night illumination, the airborne drop
would be made during the day deep behind enemy lines. As well as, overall mission success would
depend greatly on favorable weather. An uncontrollable factor with a immense impact on the mission.
Deployment
This operation consisted of two separate missions. Operation Market, the airborne assault targeted key
bridges and terrain in the vicinity of four cities. The 101st would be responsible for securing
approximately fifteen miles of the corridor, including the city of Eindhoven and bridges at Zon, St.
Oedenrode, and Veghel. The 82d Airborne Division was to drop in the middle to

Are Animal Experiments For Cosmetic Research Necessary And...
Are animal experiments for cosmetic research necessary and can they be justified?
Abstract:
This report investigates animal is cosmetic testing. The introduction outlines the focus of this report,
the history of animal testing and presenting relevant case studies to illustrate the issue. The discussion
provides in depth information about animal testing by presenting two sides of the story. The
conclusion will highlight the main points learned to help decide if animal experiments are, indeed,
necessary.
Methodology:
Searching online became useful for secondary sources. Websites such as BUAV (British Union for the
Abolition of Vivisection), which offered a useful timeline, like the Cruelty Free International
campaign and how these actions contributed to stopping animal testing in the EU. Cruelty Free
International is supported by a number of celebrities including Ricky Gervais and Sir Paul McCartney.
PeTA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) provided information about the types and
alternatives of testing. The website also listed alternatives to animal testing, such as the Human skin
models, which are considered in this report.
News articles by the BBC were very helpful when considering the pros and cons of animal testing. A
blog by The Beauty Brains provided a scientist s opinion. Social networks e.g. Facebook and YouTube
offered access to video campaigns and the public s opinions.
Primary sources were used to experience face to face research, asking

Short Speech On Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is the most widely recognized manifestation of arthritis. It influences millions of
Americans, and men and women all around the world. Same as all types of arthritis, it is described by
the degeneration of joints, which brings about extreme aggravation, torment, firmness, and an intense
decrease in scope of movement.
The possible wearing away of the defensive ligament between bones is the thing that causes the
torment and aggravation presented by osteoarthritis. At the point when this ligament is destroyed or
debilitated, the bones that create the joint are compelled to connect without a defensive layer. This
harm to the ligament of joints normally ranges from minor roughening of the surface to complete
erosion. Most regularly, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Description of an Off-Campus Event
Stepping outside of one s own comfort zone is not an always an easy accomplishment. It can be very
uncomfortable to do something that would never usually be a part of your normal everyday life,
especially when it involves your religion and beliefs. On the flipside of all the lack of comfort, doing
something you usually would not do has many great benefits, such as learning new ideas and facts,
meeting new people, and overall broadening your knowledge of the world. As a non denominational
Christian, I decided to challenge myself by attending a religious event that I would never typically
attend. On Sunday, March 30th, I attended a Mass service at a Roman Catholic Church; specifically
St. Gabriel Parish in Norwood, Pennsylvania with a Catholic friend of mine that I was visiting for the
weekend. This was the first time I ever attended an actual Sunday morning service that was Catholic,
and I found it to be quite the interesting experience, even though it was not as unusual for me as I had
originally presumed it would be. I grew up in Norwood right near St. Gabriel, and passed it every day
to go to my good friend s home that was a football field length away from the churches front doors,
but I have never attended a Mass there, or at any other Catholic church for that matter. I have always
had a negative mentality when it comes to St. Gabriel because growing up the priest at the church
would often scold me and my friends for playing stickball in the alleyway between the church

Growth Theories Of Growth And Growth Models
Growth Theories
Under the growth theories some theories of growth and growth models will be reviewed;
i) The Harrod Domar Growth Model
In economic literature, this model is called capital only model. Harrod and Domar (1948) took over
from Rostow, because Rostow had some unanswered questions. The model stated that saving is a
certain proportion of national income and net investment is defined as the change in capital stock (K).
The model further assumes that there is some direct relationship between the size of the capital stock,
(K), and total GNP, (Y). This follows that any addition to the capital stock in the form of new
investment will bring about corresponding increase in the flow of national output, GNP. This
relationship is known in economics as the capital output ratio. If the capital output ratio is defined as k
and assume further that the national savings ratio, s, is a fixed proportion of national output (e.g. 6%)
and that total new investment is determined by the level of total savings, we can construct the
following simple model of economic growth Balami (2006).
Savings (S) is some proportion, S, of national income (Y) such that we have the simple equation
S = SY ....................................................................................... (2.1)
Net investment (I) is defined as the change in the capital stock, K, and can be represented by ΔK such
that
I = ΔK ...................................................................................... (2.2)
But because the total capital stock, K, bears a direct relationship to total national income or output, Y,

Nuclear Power In Australia Essay
Nuclear power plants should be legal in Australian as they pose many advantages. Such as high money
income and cleaner power source than coal power. This essay will argue that nuclear power plants in
Australia should be legalised. Nuclear has been in use for over fifty years and provides power to thirty
two countries, manufacturing no emissions. Australia is one among the few developed countries
without nuclear energy and therefore the solely G20 nation while not it. Why is that this the case? 2
reasons: worry and politics. Safety is that the issue cited most frequently by opponents of nuclear

Mexican Migrant Workers and Lynch Culture Essay
Mexican Migrant Workers and Lynch Culture
More than a million agricultural workers migrated to the United States in the early twentieth century.
The majority of these persons found work on small family farms in California; the white owners of
these farms welcomed cheap labor. Although most migrant workers in California today are of Mexican
descent, they originally came from all over the world: East and West Europe, China, Japan, Korea and
Latin America, along with Mexico. The shift to almost exclusively Mexican migrant workers in the
early 1900s was intentional. Growers at this time anticipated racial conflicts between the immigrating
workers and the natives of California. Growers minimized local opposition to ... Show more content

The Texas Rangers were infamous for their brutality. In the name of justice they executed thousands
of Mexican migrant workers without any repercussions. As early as the late 1800s, the Rangers began
their violent attempt at repression. Onofrio Baca, a Mexican migrant worker, was arrested in 1881 on
the suspicion of murder. The Rangers arrested him and promptly had him lynched, his body left to
hang for days in front of the courthouse. [3]
Though the Rangers were the most well known law enforcement agency attacking the Mexican
immigrant, they were not alone. For example, Jesus Romo was being held in custody by officers in
California when he was taken by a group of masked men and hanged. [4] The majority of the Mexican
Americans lynched between 1848 and 1870 were already in custody when they were taken and
hanged. Records indicate 473 out of every 100,000 Mexican migrant workers during this time period
died as victims of a lynching. [5]
Over one hundred years have passed since the beginning of large scale Mexican migrant worker
immigration, yet groups in San Diego County, and other border towns are still fighting to embrace the
lynch culture created by the Texas Rangers and similar organizations. Groups such as The Arizona
Ranchers Alliance and American Patrol are working ardently to ensure that

Analysis of Barbie-Q by Sandra Cisneros Essay
Analysis of Barbie Q by Sandra Cisneros
Cisneros Barbie Q really stood out as a great piece of literature. Barbie Q is a quick glimpse into the
life of a poverty stricken child and her way of life. Though my life as of yet has been rather short, my
earliest childhood memories are overwhelmingly my fondest and her account really struck a chord.
Sandra Cisneros accurate reflection of a young mind and intricate writing methods expressed great
emotion. Her portrayal of a child s mentality evoked my childhood recollections while her realistic
tale of childhood bliss in the midst of poverty caused great empathy on my part making this my
preferred work we studied.

Skipping , humming , loopity loops , and pirouetting are silly things that everyone has done as a child,
including myself. These reminders set me in a time machine back to my favorite days when the only
thing important to me was my own happiness. Another less obvious reflection of a puerile mind is the
same story . In this tale of a young girl s game, Sandra Cisneros refers to a pretend play the girls have
made up for their Barbie s to act out. This play is referred to as the same story and really hit on what
childhood playtime was all about. I remember doing the exact same thing as a child with my brothers
(except we were cops and robbers), where we played out the same actions over and over, day after
day. Cisneros recognized this to be common to all children and smartly places it for the reader to
reflect on their past, as I did on my own. Sandra Cisneros evokes great sympathy for her characters,
which added to my favor of the story. In a first few sentences, Sandra has already revealed to the
reader the poor social status of the young girls and continues to do so throughout the tale. She
particularly points out their pauper way of life by repeating the small amount of toys the young girls
have. She mentions all the girls could afford was one extra outfit apiece then one paragraph later
recalls again our one outfit apiece . Also, Cisneros touches on the sock dress the girls made

Narrative Of The Life Of Frederick Douglass, An American...
In 1845 Frederick Douglass published his first book Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an
American Slave. This book not only showed people what life was truly like in the eyes of a slave, but
it became instrumental in propelling the abolitionist movement and helping it gain motion all across
the country. Douglass was truly a revolutionary person because throughout the duration of slavery,
African American people were not permitted to be educated. This was considered dangerous. It wasn t
until Frederick Douglass was moved to Boston, where slaves were treated more like people instead of
cattle, that he learned to read and write. When Frederick was 20 years old he escaped to Massachusetts
and began to learn more about the abolitionist movement; this lead to him writing his first book. None
of this would have been possible, however, without Douglass learning how to read and write.
Education is a major key in lifting people of color out of oppression.
The wife of Douglass s master began teaching him to read as he was just a boy at the time and he
appealed to her humanity. When Hugh Auld, Douglass s master, found out about what his wife was
doing he became livid and forbade her to teach him anymore. Auld said that if she taught him to read
he would become ...unmanageable, and of no value to his master. And that it would make Douglass

Appeasement Was The Only Realistic Option For British Policy
Appeasement was arguably the only realistic option for British policy towards Germany between 1936
and 1938 when considering the fact that appeasement permitted Britain to rearm, thus preparing her
more effectively for war, whilst also giving her the moral high ground. Nevertheless, for some
appeasement has become a dirty word, synonymous with weakness and defeatism in the face of naked
aggression since Britain s policy of appeasement succumbed to Nazi aggression and failed to actually
prevent war. Subsequently many historians argue that alternatives including a Grand Alliance and
military intervention in the Rhineland (1936) and Czechoslovakia (1938) would have been better
options. However, when considering the several hindrances to these alternatives including political
and public stance, financial difficulties and the depth of pacifist objection, it appears that appeasement
was the only realistic option.
However, British and French military intervention in the Rhineland incident, 1936 could have been an
alternative to appeasement. Their reluctance to take action permitted Germany to increase her power
(within 18 months Germany s rate of rearmament surpassed that of Britain and France), whilst also
contributing to the burgeoning belief that the League of Nations was ineffective. Hitler himself stated
that If France had then marched into the Rhineland; we would have had to withdraw with our tails
between our legs. Indeed, many historians concur as invading the

The Importance Of Social Practices In Young Goodman Brown
In any society, fictional or nonfictional, there is always one thing that is constant social practices. The
social practices within a society drive how people within the community interact with one another
through family relationships and values, the relationship within the community and often they will
create a social hierarchy within the society. Although no matter where you go you will find social
practices they can vary based on where you are in the world but this is not always the case. The story
social practices in Young Goodman Brown by Nathaniel Hawthorne displays a town working together
as a tightly knit community even if it is all just a facade. Set in the small village of Salem in colonial
Massachusetts. The town is very puritan and the prominent people in the town have close ties to the
church. Throughout the story we see how small the town is, everyone knows everyone else s life story
and people take pride in their family name, Young Goodman Brown is no exception to this rule My
father never went into the woods on such an errand, nor his father before him. We have been a race of
honest men and good Christians since the days of the martyrs; (Nathaniel Hawthorne 2) Although
shortly after proclaiming that his family is made up of pure Christians he finds out it is all a lie the
sense of community in the village of Salem is something that never leaves the story. The sense of
community is also very much present in A Piano in Arkansaw written by Thomas Bangs

Evaluation Of The Systems Functions, Vulnerabilities, And...
SCADA Systems is considered a vital aspect of Critical Infrastructures, which is tied to all other
Critical Infrastructures. In the modern age where automation is emerging as a normal part of daily
function, the need for a system to monitor and control these automated processes is required. While
automation yields an overabundance of benefits such as reduced operating costs and efficiency, it is
not without flaws. SCADA Systems are like any other program in the sense that it is vulnerable to
attacks. As the automation continues to evolve, security threats will parallel the growth and demands
innovative protection methods. This paper will provide an overview of SCADA Systems functions,
vulnerabilities, and protection suggestions.
What is SCADA and why do we as a society need it? Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition
(SCADA) systems are a distributed network over a large geographic area to control industrial
automated services. Some examples are the electric energy systems, nuclear energy systems, water

efficient, safe, and of the highest quality possible.

Descriptive Essay On The San Juan Mountains
Every place has a taste. My highschool tastes bland, and a little bit like a cracker beginning to go stale.
My home tastes like sunlight on autumn leaves. Every place has a taste, but I will never forget the
taste of the majesty of the San Juan Mountains.
The first time I laid eyes upon the San Juan Mountains, I couldn t believe that I was only a few miles
away from the cold desert that is Colorado. The further into the rugged mountain range the highway
led me, the more awe and disbelief fell upon me. I felt small, and as if I was the first person to ever
discover those hidden valleys that support entire ecosystems of plants and animals. The scattered puffs
of cloud above me painted shadows along the razor edged peaks, giving an appearance of a mural,
rather than massive chunks of rock carved away by the centuries. I could hear nothing except for the
pounding of far off waterfalls and the whispering of the pines, who shared secrets that nobody but
they would ever know. I felt like an intruder, and yet welcomed. I was lost, but at home.
Around a bend, and out of the blue, there came a town. Even so far from the nearest city, the town was
butsling. Main Street was lined with colorful buildings restored from the Victorian era. A two floor
hotel, elegant even in it s old age, announced its presence at the corner of an intersection. The stout
brick walls stood fortified, defying the valley winds. The occasional house could be seen through the
tightly packed boutiques, shops, and art galleries. One was baby blue and white, another, the color of
dried saffron. Further on down Main Street, natural hot springs revealed themselves. People of every
age packed into the heated pools. A vicious game of volleyball had commenced, and more people
were flocking to the net even in the second it took to drive past. Eventually, the quaint Main Street
ended, and the highway led the car through several switchbacks that twisted up the side of the valley.
At the top, a weather worn sign named the town Ouray , and the sight below was one to behold. Ouray
spread through the bowl formed when rivers and mountains collide, spreading to the edges until not a
shed more could ve been built. But the highway kept leading, and the car kept

The Influence Of The Endocrine System
. A. Different systems like the nervous, the urinary, the digestive and all the other major systems of the
human body are influenced by the endocrine system. These systems are very different but they work
together to regulate every human body function in the correct way. The endocrine system manages
body activities that slowly happen, like cell growth. Faster activities such as respiration and movement
(running, jumping etc.) are controlled by the nervous system. The Endocrine and the nervous system
corporate by discharging hormones to cells this results in a physical reaction. These hormones then
supply feedback to the brain, which give your body commands on when to react how and how to
react. The endocrine system is essential to

The Adult Human Brain Retains a Large Amount of Plasticity
It is now widely recognised that the adult human brain retains a larger degree of plasticity than was
previously thought. This is perhaps particularly true of the neural mechanisms underlying sensory
perception, where substantial behavioural and neural changes have been demonstrated in a wide
variety of sensory functions following experience. Sensory plasticity has been recognised for its
rehabilitative potential, for instance through perceptual training regimes, which have been used to
improve visual function in adults with amblyopia, a developmental disorder of vision, and those with
central vision loss. Now a new study provides evidence for visual plasticity in adults with long
standing central vision loss who did not undergo any specific training (Chung, 2013a). Central vision
loss, primarily brought about by age related macular degeneration, is the leading cause of irreversible
blindness in the developed world (Bunce and Wormald, 2006). The vast majority of individuals with
central vision loss develop a preferred retinal locus (PRL), a specific region of the peripheral visual
field that they use to perform everyday tasks such as reading. However, peripheral vision is limited in
a number of ways in comparison to foveal vision. For example, in people with normal vision, reading
speed, contrast sensitivity and visual acuity are worse in the periphery compared to the fovea.
Additionally, peripheral vision is limited by visual crowding, which describes the increased

Woodstock Music Festival Of 1969
Music festivals were created as a way for people to temporarily escape from the world s conflict.
Throughout the decades, festivals continued to grow in popularity and new festivals were created.
The festival that started the the spread of festivals was Woodstock. In 1969 in New York, the first
Woodstock was held on a dairy farm. 32 different rock acts came together on the farm to perform.
During this time period, the Vietnam war was happening and Thousands of hippies traveled to Bethel,
New York to see acts like Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin perform and to take a break from all the
conflict in the world. Woodstock promised 3 days of peace and music. Woodstock was a three day

Abstract
This paper begins with a general idea of self disclosure by therapists and the importance of keeping
the client s needs first. It covers many aspects of self disclosure including ethically what to look for in
the motives of using self disclosure with a client. There are other aspects of self disclosure which
include transference and countertransference which are issues which need to be attended to
immediately for the therapist to remain objective and not react to a client. Therapists must be cautious
in disclosing information and make sure it is relevant to treatment. Beneficence and nonmaleficence
are important things to consider when self disclosing and the therapist must be educated, well trained,
and have experience before considering self disclosure. Also included in this paper are different
orientations in relation to self disclosure. Those orientations include Adlerian therapy, cognitive
behavioral therapy, feminist therapy, and relational therapy. Although these are only a few
orientations,

Analyzing Alienated Labor in Regards to Democracy
The strive to maximize profits causes firms to mass produce commodity goods, which forces workers
to dedicate a large portion of their time to their labor. The efficiency of mass production is certainly
questionable, as economists like Keynes predicted that, given the massive technological leaps that
nations such as the United States and Great Britain were already making, the average work week
would be reduced to between fifteen and twenty hours a week by the twenty first century (Graeber,
Bullshit Jobs ). While it appears that the technological advancements Keynes expected came to
fruition, the average work week currently sits around

It is not a large stretch to assume that most of the sweatshop workers employed by Nike have never
worn any of the items that they had a part in producing, which serves to create an effect of resentment,
as those workers view Nike products as a reminder of their servitude and likely nothing more.
Like the product of one s labor, the process of labor itself can also be a source of estrangement for
workers in a capitalistic society. When workers have no influence on the circumstances surrounding
their production, they can be treated as commodities. Those that are working in sweatshops are often
doing so out of necessity, which gives firms control over laborers as they dominate the means of
production and therefore have more leeway in regards to practices such as forcing workers to endure
improper conditions or providing low wages. Firms like Nike can easily establish monopolies in the
market for cheap labor in developing nations like Indonesia, eliminating the competition for wages
along with any possibility of class ascendance. The result of this is the existence of laborers who are
completely disconnected from the undertaking of their work, as it only serves as both a means of
subsidence and a reminder of one s reliance on the bourgeoisie. Naturally, the laborer will feel that the

Global Exchange Traded Products Industry
Over the past 5 years, ETFs have surged in popularity as they continue to grow and evolve. Just this
past year, the global exchange traded products industry reached another milestone, topping $3 trillion
in combined assets under management. Now investors are searching for the next asset class which will
expected to explode on the scene as ETFs have recently. They may have found it last week when
Eaton Vance rolled out the first of its Nextshares products. The funds, commonly called exchange
traded mutual funds, are actively managed and traded at the funds net asset value but carry low fees
found with traditional ETFs.
Where Can You Find Them?
After receiving approval of the whole concept in late 2014, Eaton Vance s pipe dream of an mutual
fund ETF has finally become a realty. A little over a year follow its approval, the first fund has final
hit the market under the symbol EVSTC. Eaton Vance debuted its new asset with a momentous
ringing of the Nasdaq opening bell. The exchange traded managed fund segment could help provide
the next surge in the industry as multi asset managed increasingly adopt ETFs. The first of these funds
are exclusively available via Foliofn s investment platform. Foliofn is the first broker dealer to
distribute NextShares, rolling out to hem out to the robust catalog of advisors and consumers on Folio

The Hurricane
Bob Dylan s song, The Hurricane, brings to surface several of the themes covered in class this
semester. The song explores general themes like community and responsibility, while also focusing on
many of the sub themes, such as justice and injustice, appearance and reality, and loyalty and
abandonment. Throughout the song, the main characters constantly battle with the above themes in
attempt to frame an innocent man. While the song brings up many of these themes, Dylan s characters
show little consistency with the texts covered, as the texts tend to try to find reconciliation in the
characters, while Dylan s characters feel no remorse in their actions.

While on one hand, creating another monster would hold responsibility to his unnatural creation, he
has a responsibility to the community to prevent these monsters from breeding and wreaking further
havoc upon the community. Fortunately, in the novel, Victor upholds his responsibility to the
community, and denies the monster s demand for a partner, although he knows that this action may
lead to problems in his own life.
The song continues to venture into the theme of justice and injustice. Although all the evidence
supports the Hurricane s innocence, the community as a whole acts to ensure that injustice is served.

Art And Its Effect On Society
There are about a million different colors in the world. There are light colors and dark colors and
colors in between. We can use colors to express ourselves and use them to express our moods. People
are famous because of art and people have been arrested for art too. People can dedicate art to other
people and people can draw themselves too. Million and millions of colors are in the world but only
few are known. More colors are discovered ever day by people who experiment with colors. Making
different shades of every color. For example, if you mix blue and yellow you get green. If you mix
different colors you will get new better colors. Colors are everywhere even if we don t want them to
be.
Colors have lots of meanings. We use many of the same colors but we mix them with other colors and
we get the different shades of these colors. For example, while red is the color most associated with
love, it also the color most frequently associated with hatred, anger, aggression, and war. People who
are angry are said to see red. Red is the color most commonly associated with passion and heat. Blue
is the color between violet and green on the optical spectrum of visible light. Human eyes perceive
blue when observing light with a wavelength between 450 and 495 nanometers, which is between 45
and 49.5 Angstroms. Green is the color between blue and yellow on the spectrum of visible light. It is
evoked by light with a predominant wavelength of roughly 495 570 nm. Pink is a pale Red

The Battle Of Plymouth Is A Major Confederate Victory
The Battle of Plymouth is famed for its historical significance and celebrated for its profitable value in
tourism. The Battle of Plymouth was a major Confederate victory, but also the background for a tale
of great. The history as it is preserved, and the subsequent collective memory, are a byproduct of their
modern adaptation which is meant to entertain and entice tourists. The battle is a complex set of events
that remain in the interest of the public to this day. When marketing this ever intriguing skirmish, the
town aims to draw more income from tourism by targeting specific audiences. The collective memory
is not altered exclusively by marketing. Instead, as oral history passes down the stories of the
Confederacy, Southerners tend to whitewash of the traitorous secession of the South. Instead, a story
of Southern heroism and defiance to federal government is passed down through the generations. This
leaves the local people with a biased collective memory and with scarcely and factually based
education on the subject. On Sunday, April 17, 1864 Confederate forces, led by Brigadier General
Robert F. Hoke, attacked the Union Garrison at Plymouth. Plymouth was a port held by Union troops
which was critical in holding the Roanoke River. In the Civil War era, one of the most effective modes
of transmission for supplies was boat. Therefore, the Union s hold on the Roanoke River and
surrounding waterways proved to be a detriment to the Confederate supply lines. Not only was

The Problems Of The Tableau Procedure
As we mentioned in the introduction section, one of the time problems related to the Tableau
procedure is checking if the branch is closed or not. The ordinary way for checking if a branch is
closed is known as highly time cost process. We need an intelligent and simple way to construct and
check the branches. One way, is to use ordered branches (i.e. to put the negated predicates in the
branch first, and then not negated ones), but we still have a problem if the number of negated elements
is much greater than the not negated ones. The following scenario is possible in this case,
If we choose to check if the list contains neg X and X, if neg X is the last element in the negative ones,
and X is the last element in the not negated ones, we have to process all the elements of the negated
ones and in each time we process an element we start from the beginning of the list and process the
whole branch to check if its not negated element is exist. Of course, a lot of time is consumed before
tableau reaches neg X, and finds out that X is exist. branch. The third predicate closed / 1 check the
lists in the branch if the negative one is shorter than the positive on the predicate checks if neg X is a
member of the first list and X is a member of the second list; otherwise it checks if X is in the positive
list and neg
X in the negative one.
The fourth improvement, and the main idea of our implementation, is to use the multi threading
approach in implementing the tableau procedure.

My Favorite Gemstone
I would have to say my favorite Gemstone is the Opal. I have always loved Gemstones and when I
was about twelve years old I remember looking through a birthstone chart in a magazine and seeing
that my birthday stone was an Opal. I told my grandmother that I wanted a birthstone necklace for my
birthday, but I didn t want the plain old white one, I want the beautiful ruby one in the picture, after all
red is my favorite color and I loved how pretty it sparkled even in the picture. My grandmother said if
I wanted a birthstone necklace that she would get me my actual birthstone which is Opal, and that I
should be proud of that stone because it was special to me because it s the special stone for a special

I also discovered when learning more about the Opal that it s not actually a mineral like I previously
thought. It is actually classified as a mineraloid and the different stones are usually contain 6% 10%
water, and 97% of all Opals com from Australia.
I found that there is a myth that was in a novel written by Sir Walter Scott, that claimed Opals were a
stone of bad luck, which is completely false. Quite the opposite in fact, Opals are a luck bringing
stone. They are not just the birthstone of October, Opal is also the traditional 14th wedding
anniversary gift, and is said to be represent the God Cupid. This makes perfect sense since a wedding
anniversary represents a couples union and love, and Cupid unites couples and is the Roman God of
love.
Opals are said to contain the energy of all the elements and can be used in almost all magickal
workings. It amplifies the anything that it s used with and can amplify the energy of the person who
wears this stone during magickal workings. Opals have both projective and receptive energies.
Upon further research the Opal is also used to recall past lives. This is a favored stone for opening the
third eye and a lot of people wear Opal jewelery to help facilitate this. Fire Opals are said

The Violence Of A Child s Body Bag
A gloomy night sky surrounded the flashing lights of blue and red. The moon, usually full and bright,
appeared to be as lifeless and pale as the victim being pulled into the ambulance. As I got closer, I
noticed the body bag. A child s body bag. Even the most apathetic officers were filled with sorrow. I
stared out into the murderous lake while the ambulance pulled away. To think that these calm waters
were the raging killer is unethical. There had to be someone involved in the killing of this innocent
child. Where were the parents of this child? I believe that healthy relationships begin with unity. The
unity of a mother and child is a sacred relationship. It is suspicious that no one is here for him. I

would ve been under the influence. After reporting my findings to my boss, I headed for the bus
station. After five minutes of waiting, the bus finally arrived. The rear doors opened, and the smell of
public transportation filled the air. I sat in the back by myself. There was a man to the far left of me
sobbing and looking at his phone. My son, she killed my son. He kept repeating. Where is my son? I
was hesitant to approach him, but I decided to go for it. I couldn t really see this man because his head
was hung low, with his hands covering his face. Excuse me, sir? I managed to say. He looked up at
me. His eyes were all were red and his nose was swollen, probably because of all the crying. They
were never ending tears, they just kept streaming down his face. Are you alright? I m sorry, I just
overheard you say something about someone killing another individual? I stuttered. He wiped his tears
with his shirt sleeve, and looked straight into my eyes. Who are you? He questioned. I m with the
Xochimilco police department, and I would like to know more about your case, I responded. I listened
to this man talk about his life being married to the love of his life. For a short period of time, he was
happy with his high school sweetheart. All was well until she came home late one night. The man, Mr.
Belmonte, said that his wife left him and his child all alone.

Nuclear Warfare With The Soviet Union
In declaring this, it is evident that the fear of what the Japanese Americans may have done if they
remained loyal to their native land (which was not the case for most of them having been born in

camps and revoked them of the right to their businesses, their property, and their ability to move freely
within the nation. The effects of the fear caused by communism within the United States was

indicating that the bombings should be kept secret from American citizens. Once it was publically
discovered that these bombings were purposely kept from the American people, citizens broke into
debate on whether or not they were justified. However, a definite effect was the fear that came from

Oliver Howard Biography
Oliver Howard was born to Eliza Otis Howard and Rowland Bailey Howard on November 8th, 1830
in Leeds, Maine. He joined the Union army in 1854. He was commander of the XI Corps, IV Corps,
Army of the Tennessee, Freedmen s Bureau, and United States Military Academy. At the beginning of
the Civil War, Howard received an appointment of colonel for the Third Maine Infantry Division and
was commander of a brigade during the first battle of Bull Run. He fought in the Peninsula Campaign
and got wounded during Fair Oaks. His right arm was amputated and he received a Medal of Honor
for his heroism in 1893. Due to Howard s lack of planning, an attack during Chancellorsville almost
decimated his corps. He was warned about it by General Hooker but Howard didn t pay much
attention to the warning. During the Civil War, Howard fought in the First Battle of Bull Run, Battle
of Seven Pines, Battle of Antietam, Battle of Chancellorsville, Battle of Chattanooga, Atlanta
Campaign, Sherman s March to the Sea, and Carolina s Campaign. He died on October 26th, 1909 in

The Creation of Federal Laws in Australia
The Creation of Federal Laws in Australia The Commonwealth of Australia was created with the 1901
unification of six recently independent British colonies. All were solidified under the authorship of a
Constitution that same year which predicated the form of government and the legal orientation of the
new nation. (AG, p. 1) In doing so, it also vested the power to create federal laws in Australian
Parliament and, in one sense, gave it exclusive authority to do so. And in this sense, one might render
the interpretation that one advantage Australia has is that it has a written constitution which gives
nearly all the power to make laws for Australia to the Commonwealth Parliament. However, a more
complete understanding of the structure of Australian law suggests that this is a great understatement
and one which does not make full accounting for the roles played either by the states that are
confederated to make up Australia or by the judicial branch of the federal government. A consideration
of the roles played by Parliament, the states and the court systems reveals that in fact, while the power
to legislate laws is entrusted in Australian parliament, this entitlement is only possible through an
interdependence with these other dimensions of the government. First, it is appropriate to examine the
conditions that will have allowed for one to make the blanket statement quoted here above. Namely,
the Australian Government (AG)(2011) documents that Section 51 of the

What Is Tesla s Induction Coil
Tesla originally experimented with induction coils, similar to those found in ignition coils in internal
combustion engines. He decided to power this setup with a high speed alternator he was developing.
However, the high frequency melted the iron core and the insulation between the primary and
secondary windings of the coil. To solve the problem, Tesla removed the insulation and replaced it
with an air gap. He also designed the setup so that the iron core could be moved. Additionally, he
discovered that he needed to place the capacitor between the alternator and primary windings to avoid
burning out the coil. Adjusting the coil and capacitor allowed Tesla to use resonance to attain higher
frequencies. He later relocated to Colorado after ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Instead, his idea was to utilize a large central Tesla coil to send electricity across the globe. Anyone
who needed to use it would only need a receiving coil to convert it into a useful form. Tesla was aware
of the range limitations of the coils, and his idea of countering that was to simply make giant coils.
Tesla attempted construction of Wardenclyffe Tower, a coil standing 168 feet tall. The tower, if
completed, would have been the largest Tesla Coil in history to have been constructed. Little is known
of the project, as they kept the public and media away from it. However, Tesla was unable to complete
the tower, as his funding was cut off by his supporter, J.P. Morgan, who ultimately deemed the project
impractical. He scrapped the tower in an attempt to pay off his debts. Despite the failure of his great
dream, Tesla s work would live to be used in radio transmission. The exact circuit used in a Tesla coil
can be found in virtually every radio. His work resulted in the U.S. Supreme Court overturning
Guglielmo Marconi s patent on radio, as Telsa s work predated Marconi s. An example of a large coil
that survives today can be found at Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, California. It is capable of
amplifying its input current by over 2,000 times, turning 248 volts into around 500,000. While not
built by him, this coil is an indirect monument to a colossal dream by a man way ahead of his time

accuracy of pipetting could be determined by the weight of liquid we dispensed and used it to compare

and accuracy for the lab demand. Methods and Materials: We used both 5mL and 10 mL pipettes, a

Character Analysis Essay On Tomorrow When The War Began
In John Marsden s novel Tomorrow, When the War Began the characters are placed in a situation
where they show their worst qualities, but the war also brings out the best in them. All characters learn
something new about war and themselves as well. Characters show doubt, while others show their
leadership and courage abilities.
War can bring out the worst in people as it can make people doubt themselves, their actions and the
things the need to do to survive. This is evident in many of the characters; especially Ellie who starts
to doubt herself, once she realizes she may of killed 3 people. This is also evident in the rest of the
group, as they don t know how they will react once they are faced with the situation. Ellie notes, It
was hard to believe that I, plain old Ellie, nothing special about me, middle of the road in every way,

Steroids In Sports
Steroids Have No Place in Sports Steroid abuse has become a huge problem in professional sports
today. Athletes are now using steroids to gain a competitive edge over their opponents. Also, the
athletes are using the steroids to recover quickly from major injuries or surgeries. Many former
superstar athletes have been caught taking steroids during the season and offseason. Professional
athletes take steroids to gain a competitive edge over their opponents in any way possible. Fame and

Many children all across the United States and other countries try to replicate their favorite superstar
athlete. Many athletes become the children s idol and once the child learns that the athlete has cheated
the game the athlete plays the child no longer looks up to the athlete. It is almost gotten to the point
where no athlete that excels in a particular sport can be trusted. Every time a single athlete becomes
great at their respective sport, speculation of steroid abuse immediately follows. Furthermore, steroids
are terrible for the sports world in general. Athletes who abuse steroids cheat the game and
themselves. The use of performance enhancing drugs by professional athletes, or doping, has been
acknowledged as a problem since at least the 1960s (Performance Enhancing Drugs In Sports Fast
Facts). Many superstar athletes had their reputation completely ruined because of being caught of
cheating the game they play. Steroids are ruining professionals sports the more and more athletes

  • 2. Essay On Tornado Forecasting In 2011, there was a total of 1,691 tornadoes reported across the country; making 2011 an unusual active and deadly year for tornadoes across the U.S. Based on National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), 2011 tornado statistics broke the record for greatest number of tornadoes in a single month in April 2011 with a total number of 758 tornadoes and the greatest daily total of 200. This weather data forecast by the numerical computer program will give meteorologist a lead time that can be announced to the affected neighborhood. These reasons also make other dwarf planets, like Eris, Haumea, Ceres, and Makemake, outliers, when compared to the general eight planets. Astronomers predict that there are possibly hundreds of dwarf planets that surpass the Kuiper Belt, just waiting to be discovered. There are three rules, making a planet, a planet. These include, the planet is round, it orbits around the sun, and it has cleared the neighborhood of its orbit. On the flipside of all the lack of comfort, doing something you usually would not do has many great benefits, such as learning new ideas and facts, meeting new people, and overall broadening your knowledge of the world. As a non denominational Christian, I decided to challenge myself by attending a religious event that I would never typically attend. On Sunday, March 30th, I attended a Mass service at a Roman Catholic Church; specifically St. Gabriel Parish in Norwood, Pennsylvania with a Catholic friend of mine that I was visiting for the weekend. This was the first time I ever attended an actual Sunday morning service that was Catholic, and I found it to be quite the interesting experience, even though it was not as unusual for me as I had originally presumed it would be. I grew up in Norwood right near St. Gabriel, and passed it every day to go to my good friend s home that was a football field length away from the churches front doors, but I have never attended a Mass there, or at any other Catholic church for that matter. • 8. Growth Theories Of Growth And Growth Models Growth Theories Under the growth theories some theories of growth and growth models will be reviewed; i) The Harrod Domar Growth Model In economic literature, this model is called capital only model. Harrod and Domar (1948) took over from Rostow, because Rostow had some unanswered questions. The model stated that saving is a certain proportion of national income and net investment is defined as the change in capital stock (K). The model further assumes that there is some direct relationship between the size of the capital stock, (K), and total GNP, (Y). This follows that any addition to the capital stock in the form of new investment will bring about corresponding increase in the flow of national output, GNP. This relationship is known in economics as the capital output ratio. If the capital output ratio is defined as k and assume further that the national savings ratio, s, is a fixed proportion of national output (e.g. 6%) and that total new investment is determined by the level of total savings, we can construct the following simple model of economic growth Balami (2006). Savings (S) is some proportion, S, of national income (Y) such that we have the simple equation S = SY ....................................................................................... (2.1) Net investment (I) is defined as the change in the capital stock, K, and can be represented by ΔK such that I = ΔK ...................................................................................... In this tale of a young girl s game, Sandra Cisneros refers to a pretend play the girls have made up for their Barbie s to act out. This play is referred to as the same story and really hit on what childhood playtime was all about. I remember doing the exact same thing as a child with my brothers (except we were cops and robbers), where we played out the same actions over and over, day after day. Cisneros recognized this to be common to all children and smartly places it for the reader to reflect on their past, as I did on my own. Sandra Cisneros evokes great sympathy for her characters, which added to my favor of the story. In a first few sentences, Sandra has already revealed to the reader the poor social status of the young girls and continues to do so throughout the tale. This book not only showed people what life was truly like in the eyes of a slave, but it became instrumental in propelling the abolitionist movement and helping it gain motion all across the country. Douglass was truly a revolutionary person because throughout the duration of slavery, African American people were not permitted to be educated. This was considered dangerous. It wasn t until Frederick Douglass was moved to Boston, where slaves were treated more like people instead of cattle, that he learned to read and write. When Frederick was 20 years old he escaped to Massachusetts and began to learn more about the abolitionist movement; this lead to him writing his first book. None of this would have been possible, however, without Douglass learning how to read and write. Education is a major key in lifting people of color out of oppression. The wife of Douglass s master began teaching him to read as he was just a boy at the time and he appealed to her humanity. • 18. Appeasement Was The Only Realistic Option For British Policy Appeasement was arguably the only realistic option for British policy towards Germany between 1936 and 1938 when considering the fact that appeasement permitted Britain to rearm, thus preparing her more effectively for war, whilst also giving her the moral high ground. Nevertheless, for some appeasement has become a dirty word, synonymous with weakness and defeatism in the face of naked aggression since Britain s policy of appeasement succumbed to Nazi aggression and failed to actually prevent war. Subsequently many historians argue that alternatives including a Grand Alliance and military intervention in the Rhineland (1936) and Czechoslovakia (1938) would have been better options. However, when considering the several hindrances to these alternatives including political and public stance, financial difficulties and the depth of pacifist objection, it appears that appeasement was the only realistic option. However, British and French military intervention in the Rhineland incident, 1936 could have been an alternative to appeasement. Their reluctance to take action permitted Germany to increase her power (within 18 months Germany s rate of rearmament surpassed that of Britain and France), whilst also contributing to the burgeoning belief that the League of Nations was ineffective. Hitler himself stated that If France had then marched into the Rhineland; we would have had to withdraw with our tails between our legs. Indeed, many historians concur as invading the ... The first time I laid eyes upon the San Juan Mountains, I couldn t believe that I was only a few miles away from the cold desert that is Colorado. The further into the rugged mountain range the highway led me, the more awe and disbelief fell upon me. I felt small, and as if I was the first person to ever discover those hidden valleys that support entire ecosystems of plants and animals. The scattered puffs of cloud above me painted shadows along the razor edged peaks, giving an appearance of a mural, rather than massive chunks of rock carved away by the centuries. I could hear nothing except for the pounding of far off waterfalls and the whispering of the pines, who shared secrets that nobody but they would ever know. I felt like an intruder, and yet welcomed. I was lost, but at home. Around a bend, and out of the blue, there came a town. Even so far from the nearest city, the town was butsling. Main Street was lined with colorful buildings restored from the Victorian era. A two floor hotel, elegant even in it s old age, announced its presence at the corner of an intersection. The stout brick walls stood fortified, defying the valley winds. The occasional house could be seen through the tightly packed boutiques, shops, and art galleries. One was baby blue and white, another, the color of dried saffron. Further on down Main Street, natural hot springs revealed themselves. People of every age packed into the heated pools. A vicious game of volleyball had commenced, and more people were flocking to the net even in the second it took to drive past. Eventually, the quaint Main Street ended, and the highway led the car through several switchbacks that twisted up the side of the valley. • 23. The Adult Human Brain Retains a Large Amount of Plasticity It is now widely recognised that the adult human brain retains a larger degree of plasticity than was previously thought. This is perhaps particularly true of the neural mechanisms underlying sensory perception, where substantial behavioural and neural changes have been demonstrated in a wide variety of sensory functions following experience. Sensory plasticity has been recognised for its rehabilitative potential, for instance through perceptual training regimes, which have been used to improve visual function in adults with amblyopia, a developmental disorder of vision, and those with central vision loss. Now a new study provides evidence for visual plasticity in adults with long standing central vision loss who did not undergo any specific training (Chung, 2013a). Central vision loss, primarily brought about by age related macular degeneration, is the leading cause of irreversible blindness in the developed world (Bunce and Wormald, 2006). The vast majority of individuals with central vision loss develop a preferred retinal locus (PRL), a specific region of the peripheral visual field that they use to perform everyday tasks such as reading. However, peripheral vision is limited in a number of ways in comparison to foveal vision. For example, in people with normal vision, reading speed, contrast sensitivity and visual acuity are worse in the periphery compared to the fovea. Kobee Crown Discussion Section: Gamble 10:00 AM Analyzing Alienated Labor in Regards to Democracy The strive to maximize profits causes firms to mass produce commodity goods, which forces workers to dedicate a large portion of their time to their labor. The efficiency of mass production is certainly questionable, as economists like Keynes predicted that, given the massive technological leaps that nations such as the United States and Great Britain were already making, the average work week would be reduced to between fifteen and twenty hours a week by the twenty first century (Graeber, Bullshit Jobs ). It is not a large stretch to assume that most of the sweatshop workers employed by Nike have never worn any of the items that they had a part in producing, which serves to create an effect of resentment, as those workers view Nike products as a reminder of their servitude and likely nothing more. Like the product of one s labor, the process of labor itself can also be a source of estrangement for workers in a capitalistic society. When workers have no influence on the circumstances surrounding their production, they can be treated as commodities. Those that are working in sweatshops are often doing so out of necessity, which gives firms control over laborers as they dominate the means of production and therefore have more leeway in regards to practices such as forcing workers to endure improper conditions or providing low wages. Firms like Nike can easily establish monopolies in the market for cheap labor in developing nations like Indonesia, eliminating the competition for wages along with any possibility of class ascendance. The result of this is the existence of laborers who are completely disconnected from the undertaking of their work, as it only serves as both a means of subsidence and a reminder of one s reliance on the bourgeoisie. Throughout the song, the main characters constantly battle with the above themes in attempt to frame an innocent man. The Battle of Plymouth was a major Confederate victory, but also the background for a tale of great. The history as it is preserved, and the subsequent collective memory, are a byproduct of their modern adaptation which is meant to entertain and entice tourists. The battle is a complex set of events that remain in the interest of the public to this day. When marketing this ever intriguing skirmish, the town aims to draw more income from tourism by targeting specific audiences. The collective memory is not altered exclusively by marketing. Instead, as oral history passes down the stories of the Confederacy, Southerners tend to whitewash of the traitorous secession of the South. Instead, a story of Southern heroism and defiance to federal government is passed down through the generations. This leaves the local people with a biased collective memory and with scarcely and factually based education on the subject. On Sunday, April 17, 1864 Confederate forces, led by Brigadier General Robert F. Hoke, attacked the Union Garrison at Plymouth. Plymouth was a port held by Union troops which was critical in holding the Roanoke River. In the Civil War era, one of the most effective modes of transmission for supplies was boat. • 32. The Problems Of The Tableau Procedure As we mentioned in the introduction section, one of the time problems related to the Tableau procedure is checking if the branch is closed or not. The ordinary way for checking if a branch is closed is known as highly time cost process. We need an intelligent and simple way to construct and check the branches. One way, is to use ordered branches (i.e. to put the negated predicates in the branch first, and then not negated ones), but we still have a problem if the number of negated elements is much greater than the not negated ones. The following scenario is possible in this case, If we choose to check if the list contains neg X and X, if neg X is the last element in the negative ones, and X is the last element in the not negated ones, we have to process all the elements of the negated ones and in each time we process an element we start from the beginning of the list and process the whole branch to check if its not negated element is exist. Of course, a lot of time is consumed before tableau reaches neg X, and finds out that X is exist. branch. The third predicate closed / 1 check the lists in the branch if the negative one is shorter than the positive on the predicate checks if neg X is a member of the first list and X is a member of the second list; otherwise it checks if X is in the positive list and neg X in the negative one. The fourth improvement, and the main idea of our implementation, is to use the multi threading approach in implementing the tableau procedure. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 39. The Creation of Federal Laws in Australia The Creation of Federal Laws in Australia The Commonwealth of Australia was created with the 1901 unification of six recently independent British colonies. All were solidified under the authorship of a Constitution that same year which predicated the form of government and the legal orientation of the new nation. (AG, p. 1) In doing so, it also vested the power to create federal laws in Australian Parliament and, in one sense, gave it exclusive authority to do so. And in this sense, one might render the interpretation that one advantage Australia has is that it has a written constitution which gives nearly all the power to make laws for Australia to the Commonwealth Parliament. However, a more complete understanding of the structure of Australian law suggests that this is a great understatement and one which does not make full accounting for the roles played either by the states that are confederated to make up Australia or by the judicial branch of the federal government. A consideration of the roles played by Parliament, the states and the court systems reveals that in fact, while the power to legislate laws is entrusted in Australian parliament, this entitlement is only possible through an interdependence with these other dimensions of the government. First, it is appropriate to examine the conditions that will have allowed for one to make the blanket statement quoted here above. To solve the problem, Tesla removed the insulation and replaced it with an air gap. He also designed the setup so that the iron core could be moved. Tesla was aware of the range limitations of the coils, and his idea of countering that was to simply make giant coils. Tesla attempted construction of Wardenclyffe Tower, a coil standing 168 feet tall. The tower, if completed, would have been the largest Tesla Coil in history to have been constructed. Little is known of the project, as they kept the public and media away from it. However, Tesla was unable to complete the tower, as his funding was cut off by his supporter, J.P. Morgan, who ultimately deemed the project impractical. He scrapped the tower in an attempt to pay off his debts.
